Bondara Sexual Lubricants Range review: If you read my review the other day about the Bondara ‘Mr Realist’ Black XL Realistic Silicone Dildo, you’ll know that Bondara stock a variety of sex toys and bedroom products that they’ve manufactured themselves. These are generally priced to fit a low to medium budget range, with most companies avoiding the higher end prices. Quality of own brand goods in general can vary from absolutely appalling (did they even check the ingredients/materials or just whack an order through to China?) all the way up to exactly like designer brands with superb quality but at a more affordable price for the masses.
The Lubes
As well as the Bondara ‘Mr Realist’ realistic dildos range, which are happily in the ‘reliable, good quality and affordable’ category of own brand sex toys, Bondara have created their own Bondara Sexual Lubricants Range. I was asked whether I’d like to test them out and provide a review and I said yes. Bondara were kind enough to dispatch their lubes quickly and discreetly, reaching me safely and free of charge in exchange for said review.
The Bondara Sexual Lubricants Range comprises of silicone lube, water based lube, a thicker water based lubricant for anal and a selection of flavoured lubes which are also water based and used to perk up oral sex and pleasures.
I was sent the Luxury Silicone lubricant and four flavoured water based lubes from the Bondara Sexual Lubricants Range. They are strawberry, cherry, passion fruit and pina colada. All the lubes are presented in the Bondara colours (black and bright pink) and with branded, informative labels. The Luxury Silicone lube is a 150ml bottle, the flavoured variants are 100ml. Each bottle dispenses with the depress-top style opening as you can see in the photos.
A small issue I noted with all of the Bondara Sexual Lubricants Range lubes I received is that none of them had a hygiene seal under the screw-off cap. The lubricants don’t come with shrink wrap or any other plastic wrapping over them either. This poses the risk of spillage during transit and delivery, as well as customers complaining that they can’t be certain that their lube hasn’t been tampered with at any time. All products made for intimate use need to come with some kind of reassuring hygiene seal, in my opinion.

I’ll go through them one at a time.
Bondara Luxury Silicone lubricant (150ml)
There’s no denying that this is a slippery lubricant. It’s silicone based, clear and there’s no discernible scent. It’s not meant as a lickable or edible lube, but it doesn’t taste all that bad if you do get a dot on your tongue.
I didn’t mind using this lubricant, but I don’ tend to get on well with silicone lubes in general. They make me itch and I don’t quite know why. Once I’ve used silicone lube and I’m done with masturbation or sex I need to wash it off with hot soapy water straight away.
On the other hand the lubricant lasts. And lasts and lasts. The major issue I have with this particular silicone lube is the bottle it’s in. The lubricant is so silky that it spills down the edge of the cap when you dispense it. I found I couldn’t dispense even a small bit on my hand or on to a toy without the cap getting messy. Despite this fact if you’re a silicone lube fan you’ll be in good (and slippery) hands with this one.
Bondara Strawberry flavoured water based lubricant (100ml)
Out of the flavoured lubes in this set, my partner and I found the strawberry one to be the least flavourful. There’s simply the ghost of a scent there, of strawberry, but it’s not strong enough for our liking. Compared to the other flavoured lubes we tried in this set we actually thought we’d received a faulty bottle. It’s just like water based lube, but a very slight strawberry aftertaste. Not berry delicious at all. 🙁
Bondara Cherry flavoured water based lubricant (100ml)
My love affair with cherry flavoured lube is well documented and steamy. I love the stuff. I even prefer cherry scented or flavoured massage candles over other varieties. After a particularly torrid affair with a lesbian lover in which cherry lubricant was a major player, I’ve had a soft and probably nostalgic sweet spot for this flavour.
The flavour is very strong but not too overpowering. It’s strong though – did I mention that? If you’re not into the faux cherry flavour of double cherry sweeties or cherryade and the like then you’re best off avoiding this one. Love them? Then this will be bottled sex for you.
Bondara Passion Fruit flavoured water based lubricant (100ml)
I must admit I’ve never tried a passion fruit flavoured lubricant before. I wasn’t sure what to expect – would it be overly sweet or realistically flavoured? Well it is sweet but it has a tangy freshness which means it’s not sickly. I actually really like this one. Ok so it’s not exactly the same as tasting some real passion fruit but it’s a flavoured lube, what do you expect. The point is, the flavour and scent is recognisable as passion fruit and it tastes lovely (in small licks, don’t down half a bottle at once).
Bondara Pina Colada flavoured water based lubricant (100ml)
I was not looking forward to this flavour at all. I had a terrible experience with Durex Pina Colada lube, ie. tasting it at all, and hoped Bondara’s offering would go the same way. I don’t know why Pina Colada is such a popular flavour for lube. Maybe it’s just easy to get body safe coconut scented fluids to add to the ingredients. In any case, this lube didn’t taste all that bad – but it’s still not a favourite. I don’t like pina coladas anyway, being more of a mojito girl (where’s the mojito flavoured lube, people?!) but if it was the only lube left in the world I wouldn’t turn my nose up.
It’s very… coconutty. The scent reminds me of suncream. If you’re into this type of scent then you’ll most likely love it. As I say, not my top fave but not all that bad either. Middling.
Bondara Sexual Lubricants Range Summary
The cherry lubricant is easily my favourite of the flavoured lubes from the Bondara Sexual Lubricants Range, which wasn’t really a surprise to me. What was surprising is that the silver medal goes to passion fruit, not strawberry. This wouldn’t be the case if the strawberry lube actually tasted more strongly of strawberry – even if lube strawberry does tend to be the Giant Strawb sweetie flavour rather than a bowl of freshly picked berries.
Although the spillage issue wasn’t so bad with the flavoured lubes, it’s still there. Perhaps a vacuum hole opening under a flip top lid type would be more effective in dispensing without spills down the sides. A pump type dispenser or a tube wouldn’t really work with these. Although I can open, dispense and close these lubes with one hand when I’m/we are mid-session, the bottle tops end up slick with lube and sometimes with lube drizzling down the sides.

For the price of the Bondara Sexual Lubricants Range, though, you’re getting effective lubricants presented prettily without a gender or sexuality bias and from a reputable, trusted company. Delivery is fast and discreet and the lubricants give you a friction free glide during masturbation and sex, as well as a pleasant taste during oral when using the flavoured types. They’re not my top favourite lubes of all time; not up to the likes of Give Lube Aqua Gel or the Sliquid flavoured lubricants. However, as an own brand range Bondara have provided an affordable option which overall do as they say on the label.
