What is a Spreader Bar?

A spreader bar is a versatile BDSM restraint designed to keep a submissive partner's legs, arms, or wrists apart. It enforces a delightfully vulnerable and exposed position. Typically crafted from durable materials like metal, wood, or sturdy plastic, spreader bars usually feature attachment points at each end for cuffs or straps. Some models even have adjustable lengths and extra anchor points, providing added versatility.

How to Choose the Perfect Spreader Bar

In my spreader bar reviews, I consider several essential factors:

Material and Durability

High-quality materials ensure safety and comfort. Metal bars offer strength, wood provides a classic aesthetic, and plastic bars can be a lighter, affordable choice.

Adjustability and Versatility

Adjustable bars allow experimentation with various positions or accommodate different body types. Additionally, versatile bars remain useful and exciting long-term.

Comfort and Safety

Look for padding, rounded edges, and secure locking mechanisms. These details significantly enhance comfort and safety, making extended play sessions enjoyable.

I saw the G-Spot Stimulating Intimate Part Spreader when someone mentioned it on the Lovehoney forum. It caught my interest as I enjoy spreading my labia wide and opening myself up as much as I can.

I can get it out of the cupboard and installed on my limbs in under a minute. I do my own ankles, then kneel, curl up, arms backward, and place my wrists in the outer cuffs. All Xena has to do is fasten the velcro on my wrists.

Liberator Talea Spreader Bar Review

8 out of 10
Price:
£90.00
Brand:
Liberator
Materials:
Foam
The Liberator Talea Spreader Bar box itself was about the size of a box of copier paper. Quite small for a spreader bar was my initial thought; it would barely separate my legs more than hip width if it was as wide as the box. My fears were unwarranted though, as upon opening the box I was greeted with a 'Vacuum Compressed' notice informing me that my product would 'expand to full size upon opening'. A memory foam sex aid - wow, that is definitely a first for me!
