My Bathmate Vibe Edge Vibrating Penis Edging Toy arrived in discreet outer packaging, a plain brown box, with no mention of sex toys or anything adult on the box or label. Inside the box my new toy was securely packed. The toy itself is housed in a glossy branded box which is hygiene sealed, and which details the product and its main features.

In The Box

Unpacking my new toy, I found a USB/jackpin charging lead along with the Bathmate bullet vibrator and the silicone housing which makes up the Bathmate Vibe Edge Vibrating Penis Edging Toy. There’s also a User Guide in English, with a QR code where you can access the instructions in various other languages. A separate slip of glossy paper details the recycling info on one side, with product regulatory info on the other.

Size / Measurements

My Bathmate bullet vibrator measures 3 inches in length and has a circumference around its cylindrical form of 2.9 inches. It’s a stubby, chunky little bullet vibe which is easy to grab and use.

The silicone housing which turns the bullet vibe into the Bathmate Vibe Edge measures 5 inches in total length and has a circumference of 3.25 inches around the housed bullet portion. The unstretched diameter of the cock-ring hole part is 1.3 inches (the inner space, not including the silicone ring).

Charging Up

The vibrating function of the Bathmate Vibe Edge comes from the insertable Bathmate Bullet Vibrator. It’s easy to charge this up, just remove the cap from the end by unscrewing it, and keeping it somewhere safe so it doesn’t go missing. When you first unscrew the cap on the end, make sure you dispose of the white plastic spacer – it’s part of the packaging and is only there to keep the bullet vibe pristine during transit & delivery.

You’ll see that a small port is revealed in the main body of the Bathmate Bullet Vibrator – this is where the jackpin end of the charging lead is inserted. Then, just plug the other end of the lead into any USB port. I like to use the USB port on the side of my laptop or the multi-USB to mains plug at the side of my bed. While charging, an LED near the charging port glows red -this changes to emit a steady green glow once the bullet is fully charged. A full charge takes about 2 hours from empty and will provide a maximum of 60 minutes play time.

Operation / Controls

As mentioned above, the vibrating stimulation of the Bathmate Vibe Edge is provided by the insertable Bathmate Bullet Vibrator, which offers 10 functions. Of these, 3 are constant speeds (low, medium and high) and the other 7 are varying patterns and pulses.

The bullet is switched on simply by pressing the button on the end. Keep pressing to discover the other settings. To switch off from any setting, just press and hold the button on the end until the toy is off. Something to note is that I found is quite difficult to press and hold in order to switch the bullet off, when it is encased in the silicone housing. Often I needed to remove the bullet completely in order to get the purchase I needed to switch the bullet off in this way, especially when sex lube/other fluids are involved!
