Insistline Datex Red Vest Review (Medium)

Before being sent this Insistline Datex Red Vest (in Medium) for review, I’d never even heard of datex material. I thought everyone must be confusing it with latex, which I’ve most definitely heard of! But yes, datex is most definitely a real material. It’s very similar to latex, with a few important and awesome differences. We’ll get to those in a little while.

Insistline Datex Red Vest Review | Datex Fetish Wear Reviews

The Insistline Datex Red Vest was offered to me as a review item from a fetishwear clothing stall at the Sexhibition event I attended recently.

I even tried it on then and there then wore it around the Sexhibition hall. I managed to slip out of what I’d been wearing –my buckle and zip front black corset top- and used the handy cubicle at the stand to put the vest on. I was worried I’d need some talc or dressing liquid as you usually do with latex, but I didn’t. The datex material has a fibrous, slightly textured backing which feels comfortable to fit over your skin.

The outer side of the Insistline Datex Red Vest very closely resembles latex. Even before applying any shiner it’s shiny enough – I felt comfortable wearing it in public straight out of the box. On top of this initial pleasing feature there are some other benefits of datex over latex which I found out through my research for this review.

It’s strong. I was challenged to put a stiletto heel through it by a datex fetishwear company… Take a look at this. No rips, and I wasn’t being gentle.

Datex is shined with a simple drop of the included shiner. No buffing or scrubbing required. I was able to just nip to the ladies, do the finger-over-top bottle tilt and spread this over the vest top while I was wearing it. I tried to use some tissue thinking this would help but to be honest it worked better the same way I use my fave hair product, the Label M Therapy Age Defying Radiance Oil: between fingers and palms and spread over the surface.

Another plus: datex is machine washable. Yes, really! Unlike latex or most fetish-wear which hangs about in your ‘really must hand-wash all this stuff soon’ pile, datex can be machine washed on cool (max 30 degrees).

It’s also really quite affordable. This Insistline Datex Red Vest is priced at under ÂŁ50 and I don’t have to worry about ripping it accidentally, or wasting my energy (or a slave’s) scrub-buffing it to a high shine.
