This lovely little plug comes packaged in a fairly simple but still high quality, straight forward and easy to open box. This is actually a plus for me personally because although I appreciate the tamper-proof super sealed plastic packaging you see a lot nowadays, I end up cursing loudly at it as I try to prise it open…so yay for boxes! It has a tamper seal as well which is always appreciated. Now, I am a novice when it comes to butt plugs really. They’re one of those toys I look at, put in my basket and then never order because I talk myself out of them in favour of something else so this was a completely new experience for me. First impressions were good, its glass so naturally it has good weight and feels sturdy in the hand. I’d heard about some glass toys having ridges where during the manufacturing process they hadn’t been completely smoothed from the mould and things but no signs of that here, it is a good quality item and from the packaging, feel and look of the NS Novelties Crystal Glass Butt Plug that’s easy to see.
After a little warm up with plenty of lube (water based) and some massaging I inserted the plug slowly and I have to say it went in without too much pressure needing to be applied (much to my relief as a total novice to the wonders of the humble butt plug). I immediately felt the pressure and the “full sensation” I had heard about and I have to admit I was fairly impressed that such an unassuming looking piece of glass could achieve that. I moved and manipulated the NS Novelties Crystal Glass Butt Plug for some time, experiencing and enjoying the various sensations on offer. Standing, sitting, crouched, knelt etc. always comfortable and enjoyable.
It was after a chat with one of my friends I suddenly remembered that this was not just a butt plug it was a *glass* butt plug and with glass comes a delicious added bonus – temperature play. Now, extreme temperature play with something you’re inserting in to your anus isn’t something I am in to, that is not my kink however I did, for science, do some moderate temperature play. Let’s talk about size and shape, because when it comes to butt plugs, it *does* matter. The medium NS Novelties Crystal Glass Butt Plug has a total length of 3 inches, insertable is about 2.5 inches which even for a novice to butt plugs I would say is ideal although perhaps a complete anal play novice may prefer the small size. Maximum girth I measured at around 4.75 inches which again for a complete anal novice may seem just a tad too girthy but for me with some light warm up it was just right. Another little bonus for this plug is it isn’t very long, so it’s easy to take out and about and slip into your bag if you fancied a little out of the house naughtiness! Bonuses everywhere with this little gem.
One thing I love about glass is that it is *so* easy to clean. A good rinse under the tap and some toy cleaner and you’re done. The NS Novelties Crystal Glass Butt Plug is practically wipe clean!
In conclusion I think the NS Novelties Crystal Glass Butt Plug is a great plug for beginners and also those looking to use a plug in warm up before full anal sex. It offers some stretch and as it is nice and comfortable in a range of positions it’s really quite versatile. I definitely like this NS Novelties Crystal Glass Butt Plug and I will definitely be using it again.
