b-Vibe 360 Plug Review: Rotating Vibrating Butt Plug

What is the b-Vibe 360 Plug?

The b-Vibe 360 plug is a remote-control anal toy made with body-safe silicone, which is rechargeable and features 360-degree rotation of the tip as well as various vibrating settings. There are six rotation modes (three speeds, in each direction) and six vibrating patterns, with six intensity levels.

b-Vibe’s product page lists this vibrating and rotating butt plug as IPX7 waterproof, although the instruction booklet says it’s splashproof and shouldn’t be immersed in water. More on that in the cleaning section below.

The b-Vibe 360 plug is touted as a great way to deliver targeted pleasure to the prostate as well as the perineum area. Despite my lack of prostate I was looking forward to experiencing the sensations the b-Vibe 360 plug could provide, as it can be used by anyone with a butt.

It comes with a zip-up travel bag and features a travel lock function.

Design & Materials

In terms of size and ease of insertion, I feel this butt plug would best suit someone who has used anal toys previously. It isn’t the smallest, so not ideal for a complete anal beginner, but it isn’t monstrously girthy and intimidating either. The rounded tip, along with some water-based lube, meant insertion for me was easy, and wear was comfortable as well as pleasurable throughout.

What’s in the Box

Quite often when opening sex toys, even if they’re high-end types, you just get the toy, its charging wire and a small instruction leaflet. Therefore, I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the b-Vibe 360 plug box. As well as the anal plug with wireless remote, its charging wire and an instruction booklet, there was a cute sticker and a zip-up, branded storage or travel bag as well.

Charging & Setting Up

The b-Vibe 360 plug is rechargeable and comes with its charging wire. The wire is black, and has a standard USB on one end, and a b-Vibe logo emblazoned circle at the other end, on the reverse side of which are two metallic nodes. These attach magnetically to the corresponding metallic points on the base of the plug.

A full charge from zero takes 2 hours, which provides a maximum playtime of one hour. The white LED on the toy blinks whilst it’s charging, letting you know the connection is sound, and turns solid once it’s fully charged.

Controls: Base Buttons & Wireless Remote

The toy comes with a wireless remote, which in turn comes with its CR2032 coin cell battery inside. Before first use, you’ll need to get a coin to open the battery compartment and remove the paper safety slip, then replace the battery compartment cover with your coin again. These coin cell batteries last a long time – we have a few household items that require them, such as temperature gauges, kitchen scales – and you can get a strip of them cheaply from online marketplaces.

To pair with the remote:

Press power button on toy quick press, the white LED will flash to indicate the power is on
Quick press the power button on the remote, again a light will flash to let you know it’s activated
The toy buzzes and the LED on the base turns solid to let you know it’s paired successfully

To operate with the remote:

+ and – to increase or decrease vibrating intensity
Zigzag button (at the top) to change vibrating pattern
Circular arrows button (at the bottom) to cycle through the rotation modes of the tip
Hold the zigzag or circular arrows button for 3 seconds to pause the vibration or rotation

Quick press power button on to turn it on
Push the power button again to change the rotation mode
There are 6 modes using the manual operation (ie button on the toy itself)
Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn it off

Travel Lock

All b-Vibe toys have a travel lock function, which is great news for discreet storage plus discretion if you want to take your toys with you on a dirty weekend away (or liven up that business trip).

Enable the travel lock on the b-Vibe 360 plug by pressing the power button on the base of the toy for 3 seconds. The LED will flash, indicating the plug is locked. To unlock, simply do the same again.

To lock the remote as well, press the + and – buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. Again, a flashing light will let you know it’s successfully locked. Do the same again to unlock.

How It Feels During Use

Now the most important part: how it feels when I’m using it. I lubed up the b-Vibe 360 plug and slid it inside, and the first thing I noticed was how easy that part was. The slim, spherical tip is perfect for comfortably popping inside, and the rest smoothly followed without too much stretching or pain. It felt so nice when it was fully inside me, and I could feel the base sat so the front part, which curves upward, covered my perineum entirely. The outer ridge of it was just at the entrance of my pussy, and it all just felt… right. Like it was made for me.

Next, it was time to check out those vibrations and rotations. So exciting. As the 360 plug comes with a wireless remote, it seemed pointlessly finicky to try and operate it via the button on the toy, although it’s good it’s available as a backup. I’d switched the remote on and made sure it operated the plug before insertion, luckily. I didn’t want to have to remove it now it was buried deep inside my ass, and I was eagerly anticipating this next part.

I jumped a little when the vibrations started, which doesn’t mean they are overwhelming or powerful, necessarily. The shape of the plug in my rear fitted my sensitive anal canal very snugly, so I was primed to respond strongly to any vibration or movement from this new toy. The vibrations are very pleasant. A nice steady buzz which spreads through the 360 plug and into my ass, making me feel wonderfully aroused from the anal sensations. The vibrations aren’t arse-juddering, earth-shattering, life-changing. It’s a vibrating butt plug vibrating away very nicely in my ass, on whatever setting I select via the wireless remote control.

I’d been hoping that the highest speed or intensity of vibration would be a little more toe-curling and sheet-clenching in nature, but sadly the strongest vibes the b-Vibe 360 plug could deliver simply felt… yes, sensual and sexy, but not like I was impaled on an upturned jackhammer. Maybe I am just an extremist who loves outlandishly wild and intense stimulation, though. It’s highly likely.

It was time to check out the star feature: the rotating tip. This is the feature that sets the b-Vibe 360 plug apart from other vibrating anal toys. In my hand, that rotating tip is mesmerising. You can see it in my review video on this page. It swirls around like a pirouetting ballerina, and I’ll admit I enjoyed watching it do its thing for quite some time before I inserted it, imagining just how it would feel when deep inside me.

I switched on the rotating setting via the remote, and… is it doing it yet? I thought. Hmm. I switched the direction to make it rotate the other way, apparently. Oh. I could barely tell it was doing anything at all, rotation-wise, although the vibrations still felt hotly pleasant. The sensation of it rotating was so mild to me, it was like I was trying to imagine it into life. I couldn’t tell for sure if or when the direction changed. Sometimes it felt like the rotation wasn’t on at all.

Later, looking through the user guide, my confusion over the direction of rotation changing made sense. The rotation button doesn’t just flip the direction; it cycles through six rotation modes, three anticlockwise speeds followed by three clockwise speeds. This means that depending on where you start, it can take one, two or three presses before the direction changes. Handy to keep in mind, but when you can’t clearly feel the rotation in the first place, it makes it difficult to know what’s going on with the rotation when the tip is deep inside.

I’ve given a lot of thought to my opinions and final verdict on the b-Vibe 360 plug before sitting to write this review. It’s too good a product to write it off simply due to my own physical desires for extreme intensity, when I’m likely in a minority there. Plus, when it comes to the mild sensation of rotation in the tip, I don’t have a part of the anatomy which may be more responsive to this feature. A prostate.

I believe the b-Vibe 360 plug would feel completely different, much more intense, when used by someone with a prostate. In fairness, b-Vibe themselves market this plug for p-spot play, despite it being usable by people with any anatomy. It makes sense that it would be more enjoyable as a p-spot massager; the tip would be circling and massaging the prostate gland directly, while the vibrations travel down the thoughtfully shaped shaft through the nerve-rich tissue of the anal canal and over the sensitive perineum outside, as the base sits against your body there.

Without a prostate, the rotating tip, which may feel delicious for those who have one, seems to disappear into the background for me. I’m mainly benefitting from the shape of the plug, which is admittedly wonderful, and the vibrating settings of the toy, which are varied enough in style but not as powerful as I’d like.

Does it give me an orgasm? No. Not on its own, anyway. In complete fairness to the b-Vibe 360 plug, I can’t remember ever orgasming from using an anal toy on its own. The anal orgasms I’ve experienced are when my husband is fucking me hard and deep, in downward doggy position, and even then it’s rare. To cum from anal stim during solo play I usually add in a few extras. A rabbit vibrator for pussy and clit stim, or a dildo to fill my pussy and a bullet or one of my powerful wand vibrators on my clit. Greedy slut stuff, basically. The b-Vibe 360 plug is a wonderful inclusion in that sort of set up, as well as popping it in during pussy-fuck sex with my husband. The wireless remote lifts it from being a standard vibrating plug to a high-end toy that feels easy to operate and switch off once I’m done, instead of having to fondle around my taint every two minutes hoping I stumble across the right button.

That’s the thing, though. The b-Vibe 360 plug isn’t at the same price level as a standard vibrating butt plug, even those with a wireless remote included. It’s doubtless a well-made, luxurious anal vibrator. It just isn’t the rotating anal revelation to send me into back door impalement bliss I’d hoped for, but for someone with a prostate? It may well be.

Sound & Discretion

For a sex toy which has at least one motor going when switched on, and two when you’re enjoying the vibrating and the rotating settings, the b-Vibe 360 plug is surprisingly quiet. You can hear how it sounds when you play my review video, above. There’s none of that intense grinding, ratcheting noise that thrusting vibrators and rotating sex toys have a habit of making. In its place is a low-ish, steady hum, and once it’s buried in your ass, the noise is obviously muffled even further. From the toy, at least.

Having a wireless remote adds further discretion, on top of the remarkably low sound output. I don’t have to fiddle around with the base every time I want to change the setting. That said, it’s well worth taking the time to properly study how the remote works, and make sure it’s paired and operates the plug, before you slip it into your arse. Removing it when it’s all lubey to make sure the remote is doing what you want it to would be annoying and may ruin the moment. There’s an approximate 30ft/9m range to the remote, so your partner can buzz your butt into bliss from across the room. You could almost mistake the remote for a car key fob at first glance, apart from the b-Vibe wording on the top, of course.

Talking of discretion, the package arrived in plain, discreet outer wrapping, and the b-Vibe 360 plug box is nice and sturdy to keep everything in (or maybe some of your other small sex toys and lubes). You get a zip-up bag included in the box for the price, which fits the plug, remote, and instruction leaflet in, offering another way to store the items together and travel with them too, if you want. The travel lock means you can take the 360 plug on a dirty weekend away without any embarrassing buzzing coming from your bag during hotel check-in.

Cleaning & Care

This is where I come to a bit of confusion over the b-Vibe 360 plug. The product page says it’s IPX7 waterproof, which is great. But the instruction booklet says that all b-Vibe sex toys are splashproof, and not to immerse in water. I don’t want to wreck my lovely luxury anal toy, so I’m sticking with the splashproof guidance, unless b-Vibe themselves let me know otherwise. If the 360 plug is IPX7 waterproof, in other words submersible so it can be cleaned thoroughly in water, then the instruction booklet included with the product should say so.

It’s a disappointment to receive an insertable sex toy which is only splashproof, not fully submersible. Especially when that sex toy is an anal toy. At least it’s made with non-porous materials, so the silicone can be properly cleaned, wiped and rinsed under running water without needing to submerge the entire thing. It would just make it a lot easier if I could do the initial cleaning, then pop it into a sink full of soapy water to ensure I get it fully clean.

b-Vibe recommend using water-based lube with the 360 plug, which suits me as it’s my favourite type of lube. It naturally dissipates during use, and any residue easily washes from the body afterwards. It doesn’t cause me to itch or have any other issues. And it’s compatible with every sex toy material type. If any lube gets on sheets or clothing, it doesn’t stain and washes out easily in the next laundry cycle.

For storage between uses, keep the toy, remote and wire out of direct sunlight and away from extremes of temperature. Pop everything in the included bag, and activate the travel lock so it won’t switch on accidentally when squished by other items and run down your battery power. If you’re not going to be using it for a long while, it’s recommended to store the CR2032 battery in the remote separately to it, to safeguard the battery compartment and prolong the battery life.

Final Verdict

There’s loads to love about the b-Vibe 360 plug, but I feel I’d personally love it a lot more if I had a prostate. Sadly I don’t, therefore the rotating tip was of limited use to me. I could barely feel it doing its thing when the plug was positioned inside me, although the vibrations are lovely and easy to control via the wireless remote.

The manufacturing standard, body-safe materials, reassuring company credentials and product warranty, plus thoughtful inclusions, lift the 360 plug from standard anal toy to an investment in anal pleasure which could transform masturbation and sex for some people. The plug is clearly ergonomically designed, with the shape slipping in rather wonderfully along with some water-based lube, and feeling made for me when it was in position. It’s made with non-porous silicone material, meaning you don’t have to worry about any nasties remaining or breeding in the material. The plug is rechargeable, operable via the included wireless remote, and quiet during use. Further to this there’s a travel lock for discretion during storage or if you want to take it away with you, and a handy zip-up bag to pop everything in.
