I originally reviewed it way back in 2014, and after speaking with the Lovehoney team I discovered that since then, there’s been an upgrade! Packaging / Unboxing
The We-Vibe Tango X arrived in the usual discreet outer packaging for the post from the Lovehoney team, while the toy itself was packed securely in the plain brown box. My new Tango X came in a glossy outer box with modern design, recognisable as part of the We-Vibe sex toy collection. There’s plenty of information about the toy on the box, and an image of the toy on the front.
The box is sealed for hygiene reassurance, so you need to remove this seal to lift the lid off the box and reveal the contents.
In The Box
Inside the box I found the We-Vibe Tango X sat snugly in a moulded shelf, while its accessories were discovered beneath. These comprise the USB charging lead, a couple of instruction/information leaflets, a sachet of We-Vibe by Pjur lube and a drawstring storage pouch.
Instructions / Guides
There are two folded leaflets which accompany the Tango X; an instruction leaflet and a leaflet detailing electronic safety/disposal and other information.
Charging Up
Charging up the We-Vibe Tango X is easy thanks to the included USB charging lead.
The magnetic end connects to the two corresponding metal areas on the base of the toy, while the other end is plugged into your USB port of choice. I like to use the USB port on the side of my laptop in my home office, or the multi-USB to mains plug at the side of my bed. These are extremely useful and I strongly recommend everyone has at least one. You can buy them cheaply from Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk.
While charging, an LED behind the operation button blinks red through the toy’s silicone outer. Once it’s fully charged, this changes to emit a steady glow. It takes 90 minutes to charge from zero, which provides a maximum of 2 hours playtime.
Despite the We-Vibe logo on the magnetic end of the lead which could help you identify it, I’d advise additionally labelling the charging lead in some way immediately upon unpackaging the product. This means you can easily identify your We-Vibe Tango X Bullet Vibrator wire when it gets tossed into your drawer or box of charging leads.
I use my trusty DYMO labeller which is available from Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk for all my sex toy charging leads – and plenty of other things around the house, too.
Size
The We-Vibe Tango X measures 4 inches in overall length, with a maximum circumference of 2.5 inches (the base part; the tip is about an inch in circumference).
Operation / Controls
There are three buttons on the base of the toy, just above the charging area. These are +, – and a ~ between them.
To turn on the We-Vibe Tango X, press the + button. Press repeatedly to increase the vibrating intensity. To discover the different patterns and settings, press the ~ button. You can increase of decrease the intensity of any setting by using the + and – buttons. To switch off after use, press and hold the – button until the vibrations completely cease.
Tango X offers 7 vibrating settings, with 8 levels of intensity.
Travel Lock
The We-Vibe Tango X also has a handy travel lock feature. Activate this by holding the + and – buttons at the same time for 2 seconds. Tango X will pulse twice and your device will lock, then do the same again to unlock. You can also deactivate the travel lock by charging the toy.

How It Feels
The We-Vibe Tango X is powerful and effective during use. I love the shape, with its gently pointed tip with an angled flat face to one side. This clever design means that I can enjoy intense, precise stimulation to my clit (or wherever I fancy), or use the flat side to deliver more widespread vibrating stim for teasing and to eke out the pleasure over a longer period.
I also love how easy it is to use and operate the We-Vibe Tango X, with the three simple buttons on the base, and a hold-to-switch-off operation. It has rechargeable power, so no worries about running out of vibes at just the wrong moment – as long as I keep it charged up between uses, of course. Tango X is quiet during use – I can’t hear the vibrations in a room from the other side of a closed door and using it under a duvet would render it totally discreet.
Tango X is also fully waterproof, which not only means I can easily keep it clean, but also offering varied play possibilities. I enjoy taking a toy or two into the bath or shower with me, and the size plus power of the Tango X makes it ideal for sexing up my splashy me-time.

So how does the We-Vibe Tango X really feel during use? It’s powerful, as I’ve mentioned. From my sessions with Tango X, the deeper, rumblier vibrations – while absolutely delicious – are best experienced clitorally when I don’t press the toy into the area, I just let it rest lightly over my clit.
