Preparation
I knew I’d need lashings of lube to successfully conquer the Nothosaur Kohana. Luckily, I recently invested in a jumbo bottle of water-based lube – perfect. Even with loads of lube, I knew there was no point trying to insert this large Kohana dildo anally; this is definitely a vagina-only toy for me. The squishy tentacles at the top of this dildo, around the opening which leads to the hollow centre, mean that attempting to insert it into the extra-tight anal entrance would be… challenging. Plus, I have the large size Kohana dildo, which isn’t as massive as some of my other large tentacle dildos, but it’s still far too big for me to take anally. It was enough of a challenge vaginally!
There’s also the factor of safe anal play to consider. If I could take the dildo anally then I’d enjoy doing so, but I wouldn’t use the alien eggs inside, as they could get lodged deep inside or even sucked up completely into my body, and this isn’t a worry during vaginal play. And in that event, why would I use a hollow-centre dildo for anal stim? I have plenty of other fantastic, solid, anal-safe dildos from Nothosaur Toys to enjoy!
When it came to using the Nothosaur Kohana Ovipositor Dildo, I found it best to give myself plenty of room and throw down a few towels as well. I found it easiest to use my Kohana Ovipositor when I was either kneeling or squatting over the toy, whilst on a steady, comfortable surface with furniture nearby in case I needed something to hold on to, to steady myself. When I took the silicone moulds from the packet when unboxing everything, I wasn’t sure what I’d fill them with. I didn’t have any silicone material of my own, no gelatine or suchlike and I didn’t want to risk using sugar-laden chocolate in my vagina. Then it hit me. I recently made DIY ice butt plugs thanks to a novelty ice cube tray, so why not indulge in a little vaginal ice play with Kohana? I found it easiest to fill each mould through the top holes using the kitchen tap, with the freezer drawer open and ready for me to carefully but swiftly transport the water-filled tray to before leaving the water to freeze solid into the egg shapes. When the trays were full and put into the level drawer, I topped each one up using a small jug to ensure they were as full as possible. It’s worth checking them after a couple of hours, pressing gently with fingertips to see if you need to fill any of them up further so you end up with as full an egg-shape as possible once the mould is taken apart.
After leaving them overnight, the water had frozen completely and I could remove the moulds from the freezer drawer, brush off any external ice particles and lift the lids to reveal my sensationally frosty alien eggs. As an aside, if you don’t end up using them all in your Kohana dildo, they make fantastic ice cubes for your rehydrating beverage after your passionate playtime.

General Info & Specs
I chose the large size Nothosaur Kohana Ovipositor Dildo, in ‘Space Blood’ colouring, and the generous team sent me a large, branded storage pouch with the set that also included 6 silicone KoXeno Eggs, a push rod and small, medium and large DIY egg making trays.
At first, I felt a little intimidated by how much stuff arrived with the Kohana Ovipositor, but once I gave myself time to go through it all properly, I was excited to get started.
The silicone trays that came with it meant I could make my own alien eggs at home, in small, medium or large size, to match personal preference or specific fantasy. These DIY eggs can be made in the silicone, lidded trays from body-safe, dissolvable materials like gelatine or cornstarch mixes, but you can get creative.
As for me, I found it easiest to freeze water into the trays to create various size ice eggs, which gave a cold, intense twist to the whole experience. Running my hands over the eggs before sliding them into Kohana ensures there’s no risk of ‘ice burn’ and I keep to external or vaginal play when it comes to ice, avoiding ice inside the anal area.

Kohana Dildo
I have the large size Nothosaur Kohana Ovipositor Dildo.
This dildo measures, by my approximate measurements – bearing in mind the bumpy and squishy nature of this toy:
- 8.2 inches overall length
- 7.5 inches maximum insertable length
- 8.5-inch approximate maximum girth, again remembering that the surface is varied due to the tentacle design.
- Girth around the very squishy tip (even more so without eggs in the dildo) is approximately 6.5 inches. You can squish it easily to sort of fold it in 🙈
