For the closest spiritual replacement: Lovehoney Magic Bullet
The Lovehoney Magic Bullet is the direct descendant of the budget bullet category the Tokidoki Mini Vibe sat in. Same idea: small, smooth, single-button, sub-£15. It runs off batteries rather than USB, so there’s the same faff of keeping a stash of AAAs going, but that’s also the trade-off that keeps the price down. It’s not as visually charming as the Tokidoki collection. Nothing really replaces those kawaii packets. But function-wise, it’s the closest match.
For a step up in power and rechargeability: Lovehoney Ignite Bullet
If the Tokidoki bullet was your entry point and you’re ready for something with a bit more clout, the Lovehoney Ignite Bullet Vibrator is currently the brand’s headline bullet. Silicone rather than ABS plastic, USB rechargeable rather than battery-powered, multiple speeds and patterns rather than a single buzz, but still pocket-sized and beginner-friendly. It sits in the affordable category rather than the budget category, so you’re paying a bit more, but you’re also getting a toy that lasts and feels considerably better against the body.
For the classic battery bullet experience: Rocks Off
Rocks Off built their reputation on small, punchy, single-speed bullets, and their RO-80 and RO-90 models are still the ones I’d reach for if I wanted that exact “one button, one buzz, reliable” experience the Tokidoki bullet offered. The original 2017 review
Everything below is the original review as published in March 2017. The toy itself is no longer in production, but the review is kept for reference.
Since spying the new Tokidoki X Lovehoney sex toys collection, I knew I had to own at least a small part it. I’m not a massive kawaii fan, but these adult toys are just so colourful and happy-making, they really make me smile. The patterns on the collection are an attractive mix of vibrant colours, confident cartoons and other motifs such as the Lovehoney heart, other hearts and crossbones and stars. I opted for the Tokidoki X Lovehoney Unicorn Bullet Vibrator.
Packaging
My Unicorn Bullet Vibrator came quickly and discreetly from Lovehoney as their deliveries always have done. No mention of Lovehoney on the outer packaging; no way to tell that the packet contained a sexy item.
The bullet doesn’t come in a box, instead it’s in a moulded plastic insert which forms the window central to the glossy card surround. Tokidoki X branding covers the glossy card, livening it up with the appealing colours and characters from the range. It clearly states what’s inside the pack, and you can see the bullet vibrator through the plastic area.
On the back of the packet is some info about the Unicorn Bullet Vibrator; what it is, what it does, that it’s not a toy for kids, that it takes one AAA battery (not included), who makes it and all that jazz.
First Impressions
Removing the Tokidoki X Lovehoney Unicorn Bullet Vibrator from the packet was a somewhat painful process for me, I was trying to keep the outer packet as complete as possible for the photos. As you might not be taking pics of your unboxing process I doubt this will be much of an issue for others. The glue sealing the edges of the glossy card pack is very strong indeed and I needed scissors to get into the pack and then to retrieve the bullet vibe.
The Unicorn Bullet Vibrator itself, once rescued from the clutches of the packet, looked great. Smooth outer body, twist base cap for battery changes, push button operation, rounded tip for comfort. Nice and easy.
Material and Size
The Tokidoki X Lovehoney Unicorn Bullet Vibrator is made from PU coated ABS plastic, giving it a velvety smooth feeling as opposed to the high gloss plastic effect. I prefer this style, as the high gloss plastic gives me cheap sex toy connotations. The Unicorn Bullet Vibrator might be cheap to manufacture (don’t quote me; just guessing with a retail price of £12.99) but at least some thought has gone into presentation.
By my measurements it measures 3.25 inches in length, with a circumference of 2.1 inches.
Powering Up
As mentioned, the Unicorn Bullet Vibrator takes one AAA battery. It’s not included so you’ll have to raid your stash. I’m so-happy-I-can’t-bloody-tell-you that it’s not a damn watch battery, or even an N battery which is easier to get but still faffy. I’d guess that most households have some AA and AAA batteries knocking around, particularly if you’ve got a family.
To insert, you just untwist the cap, pop it in the right way, twist the cap back on and you’re ready to roll (around between the sheets). There’s a black sealing ring between the twist-off cap and the rest of the bullet vibrator’s body; this keeps the toy waterproof during use. Yes, it’s waterproof too. #AllOfTheHeartEyes
Operation and Functions
Operating the Tokidoki X Lovehoney Unicorn Bullet Vibrator is so simple you can find the instructions in a Sugababes song. Once you’ve pushed the button however you discover that there’s only one setting; and the setting is BUZZZZZZZ. Yep, a constant vibration. No pulses and patterns here. You know that before you buy though, Lovehoney clearly state this is a single speed vibrator, so I can’t knock off points for that. There were several multi function Tokidoki X sex toys available too at the time of the original collection launch.
Is it a BUZZZZZZZ that gets me off? I was feeling pretty confident that it would be, because I, or rather my clit, has a great track record with Lovehoney bullet vibes. It’s given the toe-curling nod of approval to the Tracey Cox Supersex Bullet Vibrator, plus other Lovehoney bullet vibes which are now sadly discontinued.
During Use
Even though I’m a wand vibrator addict, the Unicorn Bullet Vibrator has brought me to orgasm every time I’ve used it. I’m not saying it’s an easy ride, it’s not a sub-30-second romp with a guaranteed O regardless of whether I’m taking notice. Mostly I have to work at it a bit. Sometimes I need a dot of lube. When I’m already feeling rampant then it happens more quickly. But it does get me there.
And like I say, that’s from a person who tends to need Doxy Wand levels of vibration power.
I like the fact that the Tokidoki X Lovehoney Unicorn Bullet Vibrator is easy to use, lightweight, pretty quiet, and waterproof. It’s not silent by any means, but stick it under the duvet and I’m happy to use it with someone in the next room.

The Tokidoki X Lovehoney Unicorn Bullet Vibrator is a cute little vibe which benefits from gorgeous visual appeal as well as reliable mechanics. It’s quiet, safe to use externally on your body where you wish as well as vaginally if you wish, but never anally. The bullet vibe takes a common size battery which is easily found in most people’s battery stash, and it’s waterproof too for shower fun and easy cleaning.
I felt I got a great little vibrator for the price; it had a sensible price tag and represented value for money at the time. Score: 9/10.

No. The collaboration launched in October 2016 as a limited edition collectible range and is no longer in production at Lovehoney.
