Sinnovator Cephalopod Tentacle Dildo Review
As a fan of ‘creature feature’ and monster-style dildos, I was delighted to be offered the chance to review something from the otherworldly Sinnovator sex toy collection. What Is A Cephalopod?
What’s a cephalopod? A cephalopod is an animal belonging to the group Cephalopoda, containing octopus, squid, cuttlefish, nautilus, and kin. The word “cephalopod” is derived from Greek and means “head foot,” which perfectly describes animals that have eyes just above their many limbs.
Unboxing
My Sinnovator Cephalopod Tentacle Dildo was sent discreetly by Sinnovator, and was well packed inside the plain brown outer box. The dildo was housed in a metallic back/transparent front, hygienically sealed Ziploc-style pouch, with just a small label on the front detailing the product reference of the toy within.
There’s no instruction leaflet or any accessories with the dildo, but you don’t need them and therefore there’s no unnecessary expense in the price you pay. Just open the pouch, rinse the toy, grab the lube and you’re ready to play.
A quick but careful snip across the top of the pouch released the toy into my eager grasp. This toy is huge! And impressively detailed. I couldn’t wait to ‘envelop the Kraken’.

Size / Measurements
As I mentioned above, the Sinnovator Cephalopod Tentacle Dildo is huge – well, it’s huge if you’re used to standard size sex toys, anyway. I have the large size of this dildo (‘medium’ on the pack must refer to the silicone firmness); it’s available in small and medium too, if you prefer. My Cephalopod measures, by my measurements:
- Total length: 12.75 inches
- Max insertable length: 12 inches
- Max circumference (base): 11.25 inches
- Max circumference (tip): 2.75 inches
How It Feels
The main thing I love about the Sinnovator Cephalopod Tentacle Dildo is the tapered design. This is obviously reminiscent of a tentacle, but has the additional purpose of making it easier to insert than a dildo which is the same circumference all the way along its length. I can add a squirt of lube, play with the tip of the dildo about my vaginal entrance to get adequately slippery and aroused, then slide the beast inside to wherever feels comfortable.
I enjoyed the mental aspect of fucking myself with a toy with mysterious creature allure, some otherworldly, monstrous beast with a probing, prodding tentacle intent on ravaging me entirely for its selfish, carnal needs. Then the physical aspect layered on top of that… An eye-wateringly long tentacle dildo made from superb quality silicone, offering a tapered form which can penetrate my choice of orgasmic orifice up to wherever I feel fully satisfied. Boasting a hefty shaft embellished with ridges, ripples and protruding suckers to caress as they slide snugly into place inside, then thrill as I slide the Cephalopod back out the way it came, fucking myself with perverse abandon.
I’d describe the silicone texture as firm, not floppy. Some larger silicone toys can become too malleable to easily insert and use if manufactured with a soft silicone mix. My Cephalopod isn’t so firm that it’s uncomfortable; it’s beautifully poured, exquisitely textured, firm silicone which guarantees a memorable playtime, every time.
You might think that the deeply textured design of the shaft makes it difficult to clean, but I don’t find that. I have a nail brush for sex toy cleaning purposes, and simply take my Cephalopod and toy cleaning brush into the shower with me for a thorough, soaped-up clean. After rinsing, it’s easily set aside on a towel until it’s fully dry.

I’ve really enjoyed trying out the Sinnovator Cephalopod Tentacle Dildo and I love having it in my collection for whenever I fancy an alien-feel fantasy sex experience. This gorgeous quality, heavy-weight silicone dildo is beautifully designed and made, presented in deep purple with black swirls, and adorned with stimulating ridges and sucker-nodules to create a tantalising tentacle toy.
Because of the base, you could opt to use this dildo for anal pleasure rather than vaginal. There’s a Vac-U-Lock hole in the base of my toy as well, which is an optional extra. This makes it compatible with Vac-U-Lock and similar style strap-on/affixing harness plugs, whether you want to use the dildo for pegging or secure it to a saddle-style fucking unit.
