Loving Joy DUA Interchangeable Vibrator Review
Now for something completely different. I’m guessing that by now, most readers realise I have a deep love of wand vibrators. Another type of sex toy which regularly intrigues me are rabbit vibrators. They’re quite a bit more hit and miss than wand vibrators, because not only are they for internal use, they need to ‘hit’ the right spots; and they so often ‘miss’. I was extremely excited to be offered the chance to review the Loving Joy DUA Interchangeable Vibrator courtesy of Loving Joy.
Packaging
The Loving Joy DUA Interchangeable Vibrator comes in a clearly presented box with an image of the toy and some basic information. The front of the box sleeve is extremely matter of fact; product name, image, succinct description. No messing about.
The sides and back of the box give you more in-depth information about the product, its uses, settings and features.
The Loving Joy DUA Interchangeable Vibrator was contained in the lidded box within the outer printed sleeve. It was held securely in firm black foam material with cut-outs specially designed for all the components.
First Impressions
My Loving Joy DUA Interchangeable Vibrator was made up as the ‘wand vibrator’ in the box, with the ‘rabbit vibrator’ attachment next to it in its own space. A white USB/jackpin charging lead was included, along with an instruction leaflet with instructions in several different languages.
I was able to immediately figure how to remove/change the parts over, which I was pleased about (no need to study the manual for hours beforehand!). Just twist and remove then insert the other and twist to secure; it clicks into place. Simple.
The components of the Loving Joy DUA Interchangeable Vibrator are coated with gorgeously silky silicone and presented in a luscious deep purple colour.
It was going to be interesting finding out if the Loving Joy DUA really could offer me dual-toy pleasure for the price of one, or if I’d be suffering a double disappointment.
Size/Measurements
Let’s talk about size. By my measurements:
The Loving Joy DUA Interchangeable Vibrator as a wand vibrator measures 7.25 inches in overall length, with maximum 4.5 inches insertable (if you choose to use it that way, although I’d say it’s designed for external stim) and maximum 5.4 inches head circumference.
As a rabbit vibrator, the Loving Joy DUA Interchangeable Vibrator measures 8 inches in overall length, with an insertable length of 4.5 inches and a maximum shaft circumference of 4.5 inches.
Power
Before you play, the Loving Joy DUA Interchangeable Vibrator needs charging up. The charging port on the toy is found on the base of the ‘handle’ or ‘stem’ part; the jackpin of the lead is inserted into the hole here, while the other end plugs into any USB port.
The control pad lights up during charging. It takes about 2 hours for a full charge to give 2 hours of play, however it’s recommended not to use the Loving Joy DUA for over 45 minutes continuously. Well, I was hoping to be done a long time before that point.
Operation
There’s a main control button on the handle/base of the Loving Joy DUA Interchangeable Vibrator, which is simply pressed to turn on then scroll through the available settings. It lights up during use and pulses to whichever setting it’s on, which is quite cool.
There are 10 settings available from the Loving Joy DUA Interchangeable Vibrator. I’d describe them as:

During Use
Loving Joy DUA Wand VibratorÂ
Not gonna lie, I pretty much disregarded the DUA as a rabbit vibrator upon opening the box and was totally focused on the wand vibrator attachment. In case you’ve missed the ton of wand vibrator reviews recently, I absolutely love a good wand vibe.
Loving Joy are the manufacturers of my top fave bullet vibrator, the Loving Joy Rechargeable Power Bullet Vibrator. I was hoping to have similar experiences with the Loving Joy DUA as a wand vibrator – albeit a 7-inch-long wand rather than the usual 13 inches for mains powered types.
…I really tried hard to love the Loving Joy DUA as a wand. I felt like I should, because I loved the LJ Power Bullet SO much and I love wand vibrators. So, this should be perfection, right? Unfortunately, not. Not for me, in any case.
First of all, as a wand vibrator the power from the Loving Joy DUA just doesn’t feel as powerful as I’ve come to expect from my wand vibes. Even on the highest constant vibrating power – which is incidentally the first setting when I switch it on.
Secondly, the neck is far too bendy for me. I like to be able to get a bit rough during masturbation, and I need my sex toys to show a bit of resilience. Using wand vibrators for clitoral stimulation, I hold them against my body and need the head to not bend away, not have too much give, and for me to definitely not have to hold the vibrating head firmly against myself trying to eke out an orgasm complete with wriggles and mutterings of, “oh just come on you bastard.”
I can orgasm with the Loving Joy DUA as a wand vibrator, but it takes absolutely everything I have, and rather a long time, and I risk getting white-finger from having to hold the head part directly against myself for the duration.
In my opinion, the wand vibrator element of the Loving Joy DUA would be much better suited to someone who wants a ‘gentle kiss’ of stimulation, more a teasing style of vibration. Instead of someone like me, hardened Doxy fan who wants to switch on, explode within a minute (or two, at most) and prefers rough ‘n ready wanking rather than whiling away the hours on romantic self-love.
Loving Joy DUA Rabbit VibratorÂ
Feeling a little disappointed and more than a little concerned over my lack of response to the Loving Joy DUA as a wand vibrator, I eventually turned my attention to the rabbit vibrator style attachment.
I wasn’t expecting too much, not just because of my less-than-perfect-for-me sessions with the DUA as a wand, but because of my previous struggles to love rabbit vibrators. 8+ years ago I pretty much hated all rabbit vibrators. They were mostly jelly and filled with those plastic beads, noisy and needed a bucketful of batteries. In recent years it’s been great to try out more silicone styles, rechargeable types, rabbit vibrators curved for real anatomy and deliciously powerful motors.
I’m not sure how to describe my first experience with the Loving Joy DUA as a rabbit vibrator. Astonishing? Shocking? Thrilling? A revelation? Messy? It was all of these and more.
By some miracle (because not all vulvas/vaginas/clitorises are alike), the Loving Joy DUA as a rabbit vibrator fits me perfectly. The curve of the shaft feels like the curled fingers of a lover slipping in, and the bulge in that shaft fills me deliciously. The vibrations pounding through it –because they somehow feel more powerful inside my vagina, despite it being the same toy as the wand!- make it feel like a sentient robotic lover who won’t stop until I’m satisfied. The clit stim arm rests against my clit and the vibrations tease and tingle it, not in a frustrating way but in an urging-towards-orgasm way, working in harmony with the shaft to deliver me to climactic bliss.
Ok… I may be waxing lyrical here. But you get the point. Amazingly -and despite my initial dismissiveness about the rabbit vibrator attachment- it ended up blowing the wand attachment out of the water for me.
The Loving Joy DUA as a rabbit vibrator doesn’t give me an instant (or almost instant) orgasm, the blended stimulation takes time to build to that crescendo. But I don’t feel impatient en route as I do with the wand; I’m enjoying the stimulation on the way there so much, I find myself almost holding the orgasm off because I love the feeling of total submission to the DUA while it does its magical thing to me inside and out.

Clean-Up
The instructions state that the Loving Joy DUA Interchangeable Vibrator should only be cleaned while in one piece, that is either as the wand vibrator or the rabbit vibrator. Not as separate components.
Provided you follow this rule, the Loving Joy DUA Interchangeable Vibrator is waterproof. Well, it states that the DUA is waterproof on the box, so I had to give it a try.  You can see a short example of the Loving Joy DUA performing in water in the little video clip above. My preferred place for using the DUA in water is in the bath; I can lay down and let that rabbit do its thing. Bliss.
A point to note is that there isn’t any additional storage provided with the Loving Joy DUA Interchangeable Vibrator to pop the bits in between playtimes. No drawstring pouch which has come to be viewed as the standard accessory with silicone vibrators in particular. However, if you bin the printed outer sleeve of the box, you’re left with a plain white lidded box that you can keep the DUA components in. Bit bulky, but discreet enough.
Conclusion
As a wand vibrator, I feel the Loving Joy DUA would be great for someone who is after an external use vibrator for a caressing, teasing buzz, not necessarily of the clitoris but all over stimulation and particularly the erogenous zones. It would be a great addition to foreplay for those who prefer non-traditional, non-realistic types of vibrators which offer plenty of varied play potential. If you prefer lighter vibes and the softer touch, the Loving Joy DUA as a wand vibrator may suit you perfectly.
The Loving Joy DUA as a rabbit vibrator is where this toy really shone for me, taking the DUA from a 6/10 to an 8/10. The shape and curve of the shaft felt fantastic slipping in, then once in position the vibrations stimulated me internally in ways I haven’t felt from an internal vibrator in a long time. The clitoral stimulation from the clit stim arm was almost simply a bonus; but the combination is an addicting sensation I’m going to enjoy for a long time to come. I’m off to run (yet another) extremely relaxing bath…
The Loving Joy DUA Interchangeable Vibrator is well made, nicely presented and does what it says on the box. It’s very quiet during use as well. It’s a great addition for solo or shared pleasure, and is inclusive in that it’s not aimed towards a specific gender or sexuality. The attachments are incredibly easy to fit and switch, and as it’s waterproof you have more play options as well as hassle-free clean up. You just need to decide if the vibration styles and the attachments sound like they’d be right for you personally.
