DONA by JO Kissable Massage Oil Review (Chocolate Mousse)

The DONA by JO Kissable Massage Oil (Chocolate Mousse scent, Aphrodisiac and Pheromone Infused) proves too much of a good thing can actually be a bad thing.
When I first saw The DONA by JO Kissable Massage Oil, my first thought was ‘A bottle that small wont last long!’ To be fair it is a small bottle but boy was I wrong!

On opening the bottle there is a rich chocolatey aroma but also a base note of something a little muskier (Maybe thats the Pheromones?). We applied a few drops to try it out, It goes on smoothly and has a nice texture but did dissipate quite quickly, so we had to return to the bottle for more.
There is no sexual stimulation or intense desire to rip anyones clothes off (more than normal) and honestly It didn’t seem any different from baby oil. The only thing that stood out with this Kissable Massage Oil was the sickly sweet smell. At first the aroma of dark chocolate was yummy but after a few applications my partner was complaining about feeling queasy rather than being turned on.
However we carried on, thinking it cant be the oil, we both love chocolate… until the point where I too felt nauseous.
Maybe the smell made us uncontrollably hungry?
After a short time we came to the conclusion that the smell was just overpowering and too powerful all at once, the term sickly sweet comes to mind.
Although it applies well on its own (texture wise) In order to not over do the smell we would use it again as long as its only a few drops mixed in with an unscented oil in the hopes it will lessen the aroma.
The scent didn’t fade either over time either, in fact it lingered on me days after despite washing profusely.
Perhaps if the smell did dull it wouldn’t be so overpowering.
All In all the DONA by JO Kissable Massage Oil wasn’t anything more than any other oil perhaps a more fruity natural smell would have been better (fresher) For £7 you are better off buying a Body Shop massage oil.
All though saying that, perhaps if chocolate is your thing and you don’t mind sweet smells, this DONA by JO Kissable Massage Oil may be for you.
