AVA Pink Silicone Thrusting Rabbit Vibrator review by Tigerlily

I know what you’re thinking: does the world need yet another rabbit? At first glance, you’d be forgiven for thinking this is more of the same. But astute readers will have noticed the word “thrusting” in the product title. This little rabbit doesn’t just vibrate: it can move back and forth, too. Does it really feel like you’re being penetrated? Read on to find out!

AVA Pink Silicone Thrusting Rabbit Vibrator Review

What’s So Different About This Rabbit?

If you look closely at the design of the AVA Pink Silicone Thrusting Rabbit Vibrator, it’s not entirely clear how it achieves the thrusting motion. Silicone doesn’t generally stretch enough for something to thrust up and down, which is why other thrusting rabbits you find will be made of more pliable (and poisonous) jelly materials. So how does it work?

Inside, there’s an electromagnet that oscillates a heavy weight back and forth. Rather than pushing and pulling just the head, the kinetic force generated by the weight “wobbles” the entire rabbit back and forth. Out of the box, you can feel the weight if you jiggle it around.

There are two things you should know about this kind of electromagnetic thrusting action. The actual range of thrusting is quite small – it moves no more than half a centimetre or so. But, it can do that really fast, so you’ll feel more of an impact than toys which use a small motor.

Size and Materials

Like all good flexible body-safe insertables, the AVA Pink Silicone Thrusting Rabbit Vibrator is made of smooth silicone. You can feel a solid core that houses the motors, but overall it feels nice. A fake metal band encircles the device midway down; it’s painted ABS plastic, and prone to chipping if you drop the toy.

Measuring a total of 8.5 inches in length, only 4.5 inches of that is insertable. The largest diameter is 1.5 inches. Overall, I’d say it’s neither small nor particularly large compared to other rabbits or insertables. It’s entirely average. If you prefer larger toys or need more than 4.5 inches of depth to get off through penetration, the AVA Pink Silicone Thrusting Rabbit probably isn’t for you, and may feel a little underwhelming. For us, it was a good size.

In terms of other distinguishing features, the head is no more bulbous than the shaft, and there are no other ridges, veins or other random wobbly bits on the insertable side. It’s entirely smooth all the way along.

Being a rabbit, it does, of course, have two delicate rabbit ears that should envelop your clitoris. They’re about an inch long.

As any sex toy reviewer will tell you: no two people are alike, no two rabbits are either, so no one can reliably tell you if this will fit your body. It’s unfortunate considering the price of the toy, but as with any semi-rigid insertable sex toy, it may or may not suit your anatomy. The best we can do is give you is show you some real pictures, rather than contextless product shots you’ll see on the sales page.

Pictured above: the AVA Pink Silicone Thrusting Rabbit Vibrator in the centre, the Satisfyer Pro G-Spot Rabbit on the right, and the Pink BOB Curved Suction Cup Dildo 9-inch dildo on the left. The Satisfyer feels marginally larger, with a more pronounced curve on the top, though there’s not much in it.

Unlike the Satisfyer Pro Rabbit, the neck of the AVA Pink Silicone Thrusting Rabbit Vibrator is completely flexible, to accommodate different body shapes more easily. Flexing this too much will eventually damage the wiring though, so don’t push too hard.

Using the AVA Pink Silicone Thrusting Rabbit Vibrator

Unfortunately, the only instructions to be found in the box were in Chinese, with a few sentences translated into bad English. It’s not exactly complex to figure out how to use a vibrator with only three buttons, but I would have hoped for a little more localisation if the product is to be sold here. For those of you who can’t read Chinese, the manual actually refers to three types of the AVA Rabbit that are available, all with identical controls: one of which offers warming capabilities, one of which has thrusting (this model), and one with dual vibrators.

But the controls are simple: there are three buttons. The central one is on/off, and you’ll need to activate that before the other buttons do anything. The lowermost button controls the rabbit vibration, cycling through three intensities plus about 12 patterns. The uppermost button turns on the delightful thrusting action. It’s quite a shock the first time you activate it. There’s no patterns as such, but there are six settings with varying speeds and stroke intensity to choose from.

How Long Does the Battery Last?

There’s no specifications available on the battery size, but after an initial full charge, we managed about 15 minutes with both the vibration and thrusting motors set to their highest intensity. That’s a little disappointing, but you’re very unlikely to last that long on full intensity. In practice you might expect a few sessions before it needs a charge.

Recharging the AVA Pink Silicone Thrusting Rabbit Vibrator is done using the included USB cable with a pointed charging tip, which pushes through a hole in the silicone case on the underside. Since there’s a possibility of water ingress through that hole, you shouldn’t completely immerse the toy in water (not because it’s a dangerous voltage, but because the water will stay in there and corrode components). This is in contrast to the Satisfyer range of toys, which have a magnetic charging clip, and encourage you to take them into the bath.

Will You Orgasm?

AVA Pink Silicone Thrusting Rabbit Vibrator Review

Few people can get off on a little buzzing motor. Most can get off on deeper rumbly vibes. Luckily the vibes of the AVA Pink Silicone Thrusting Rabbit Vibrator are somewhere in between the two: slightly buzzy, but still powerful.

The question is: are you just looking for a vibrating rabbit? If the answer’s “yes”, I’d recommend something with more rumbly vibes; or even the Satisfyer Pro G-Spot Rabbit, which retails at exactly the same price, and uses a unique micro-suction clitoral stimulation.

And on the other hand, if you’re just here for the thrusting action, and couldn’t care less about some vibrating rabbit ears, consider saving up a bit for full size thrusting sex machine. The thrusting motion alone on this rabbit just isn’t up to much. It’s some nice icing on the cake, but it isn’t the main course, and we were unable to orgasm from the thrusting motion alone. At higher speeds, the thrusting just feels like yet another vibrator.

Some people prefer the feeling of actual penetration at the same time as clitoral stimulation, and that’s where the AVA Pink Silicone Thrusting Rabbit Vibrator really shines. Not only does it offer the sensation of an insertable, but it also takes things up a level with a small but noticeable back and forth motion. Of course, you could always make your _own_ thrusting motion, but sometimes you just want to be a pillow princess. So lie back and enjoy the ride.

Our verdict of the AVA Pink Silicone Thrusting Rabbit Vibrator: 6/10. It does what it says on the box, but it just isn’t amazing at either vibrating or thrusting.
