My review of the Vixen VixSkin Mustang Realistic Silicone Dildo
The Vixen Creations Mustang Royale Dildo is my first ever Vixen Creations sex toy. Gasp. I’ve heard so much about them, how wonderful they are, how lifelike, how bloody amazing they feel and how damn well horny they are to handle – and I’m late to the party. I rather dislike reading others’ feedback on products before I’ve had a chance to try those products out for myself, because I like to come at it (ahem) with a fresh perspective and not while influenced by other people’s viewpoints or experiences.

Kudos to VC on naming dildo colours with actual skin colour descriptions, rather than outdated black/white references!
Fits Just Right
The Vixen VixSkin Mustang Realistic Silicone Dildo isn’t a tiddler and it’s not a vagina-splitting horse cock either. If the Three Bears had sex toys, this is the dildo Goldilocks would have gone for, put it that way.
Oh, you want actual measurements? Well it’s 8 inches as the dildo-loving crow flies, with an insertable length of just under 6.5 inches by my measurements. Cock tip circumference is 4.75 inches while the base of the penis is 5.25 inches in circumference.
And yes I know I’m referring to it as an actual real penis but it’s just so damn hard (heh) not to when it looks and feels so very like one.

I Can Use It Where?

Due to the circumference of the dildo you’re best off using an O ring 1.5 or preferably 2 inches in diameter.
There’s a teeny bit of give in the material (we’ll get to that in a moment) but anything smaller than a 1.5 inch diameter O ring and you won’t get it far enough up the shaft to keep it in place. For your ease: 1.5 inch diameter = 4.71 circumference and 2 inch diameter = 6.28 inch circumference.

Feel It Up
The Vixen Creations Mustang Royale Dildo needs to be out of my sight whenever I’m in the bedroom because otherwise I’ll just casually and absent-mindedly pick it up and start playing with it. It just feels fucking good in the hands. It feels amazing in the vagina too but combining the aesthetics with the tactile qualities is sublimely soothing and therapeutic. In fact this review would have been written a month sooner if I could just leave the damn thing alone. *guilt*
There’s an exposed penis tip to the Vixen VixSkin Mustang Realistic Silicone Dildo, which almost feels like a circumcised cock when you’re ravenously fondling it or thrusting it into yourself. The veins on the shaft aren’t too prominent, like they can be on other, more exaggerated and ironically less realistic dildos, but the detail is still there. I feel it’s a good balance of aesthetics and raised veins/bumps to please texture lovers and those who just want the rideable smoothness of a real-feel, realistic dildo-cock.
A major difference of the Vixen Creations Mustang Royale Dildo to other realistic type dildos is the dual density. Inside there’s a solid core which brooks no argument and the outer surface is that lifelike feel, quick to warm to body temperature, platinum silicone.

I must confess that this idea – albeit a brilliant one on paper – didn’t work too well for me. The tease of the slight nub at the entrance to my vagina wasn’t helped by it slipping this way and that during use, and tightening the strap on harness meant that I didn’t feel any in/out movement of it – or of the clitoral nub further up. The base of the dildo was just strapped close to my body. So my choices were strap it tight to my body or loosen it up and have the base slip this way and that. Perhaps my anatomy is just different to most women’s, or maybe the O ring on my harness is positioned differently. Vixen Creations should be praised for thinking about the woman wearing the strap on as well as the ‘fucked’ partner, but this bit just didn’t work for me personally.
Word Of Warning
Another downside of the Vixen VixSkin Mustang Realistic Silicone Dildo is just how much fluff it picks up. Oh. My. God. Do not drop this dildo on the carpet – or if you do, be prepared to spend a good 10 minutes cleaning all the bits off, then drying it with a towel, realising your mistake, cleaning it again for another ten minutes and using a hairdryer on cool to dry it. This is where I personally would have preferred a flat base to the ‘Vulva Ray’ – it would mean I could stand the Mustang Royale dildo upright not rest it on its side and risk Fluff Of Doom.
It’s one of those necessary trade-offs for having such an exquisitely soft, smooth and realistic feeling material – any dust, hair or fluff which comes into contact with it will stick to the surface.
Summary
This dildo felt fantastic to use internally on myself (vaginally) and reacted deliciously well with water based lube (although enough pre-play stimulation and I didn’t really need any, and then thrusting this dildo into myself felt almost akin to having PIV sex). It’s not a great idea to use silicone lube with silicone sex toys, it can damage the material.
The Vixen VixSkin Mustang Realistic Silicone Dildo is easy and fun to use for strap on sex as well, and I’ll be urging my female play partner to obtain one of these so I can be both on the ‘thruster’ and the ‘thrusted-into’ sides alternately.
Did the Vixen Creations Mustang Royale Dildo live up to the Vixen Creations hype? Yes, it did. You’ve got another fan. It’ll be full marks when a silicone is manufactured which resists dust and fuff.
