How It Feels
In short, not powerful enough. Not powerful enough for me, anyway. I was hoping this sex toy from The One Toys range would provide a much-needed injection of vibrating power after the disappointment of The One Rabbit Vibrator, which was also lacklustre in the vibrating stimulation department, but it wasn’t to be. I am genuinely sad to have to report this, as the Wand Vibrator has so many other high-quality details but is lacking in the one department that really matters. The ability to give me an orgasm.
The One Wand Vibrator looks great, it’s lightweight, quiet during use, easy to charge, waterproof, made with body-safe silicone, has a flexible neck for easy, comfortable use and it’s simple to switch on and off and to discover the settings. I’m not a fan of patterns and pulses but I tried them with this vibrator, after failing to be adequately stimulated by the highest constant vibration setting – usually what does it for me. I’ve tried clitoral stimulation with this wand vibrator, with and without water-based lube, but it didn’t make a difference. The stimulation that is provided fell short of the level required to take me to and through that orgasmic edge.
Alt Usage
What won’t surprise regular Cara Sutra sex blog readers is that I found a way to enjoy The One Wand Vibrator which isn’t its intended or recommended use. This is a sex toy designed for external use, clitoral stimulation being the most likely. However, thanks to the smaller size – smaller than a full-size wand vibrator, I mean – I found I could insert the head of it vaginally. As the sex toy is covered in body safe silicone material, without any gap around the neck area, it felt safe and hygienic enough to try it this way. I don’t orgasm from vaginal penetration alone, but with the wand vibrator stimulating me from within, and using a bullet vibrator to give me the clit stim I needed, I finally enjoyed a powerful orgasm while using The One Wand Vibrator. Just not in the way the manufacturers intend or recommend!

Although The One Wand Vibrator isn’t powerful enough to give me an orgasm by itself, that isn’t to say you won’t enjoy using it. We’re all different, and your mileage may vary. In fact, it probably will vary quite a bit if you haven’t become used to clitoral stimulation after 15 years of being a professional sex toy tester.
I need extremely strong vibrations to bring me to a clitoral orgasm; the kind produced by top-quality bullet vibrators, full size wand vibrators or other vibes which have intense and/or impactful, deep, thuddy vibrations. The One Wand Vibrator doesn’t fall into one of these categories, and if I’d bought it for myself, I have to confess I’d be disappointed.
It’s such a shame that the manufacturers have created a sex toy with so many other modern and welcome features – body-safe material, fully waterproof, cordless, quiet, rechargeable – but don’t seem to have invested in a powerful enough motor to give this toy what it really needs. Orgasmic oomph.

Packaging & Unboxing
All my review toys from The One range arrived neatly packed in a plain brown outer box, with no hints of adult products or branding on the packaging or label.
The One Wand Vibrator comes in a vibrant, modern box with an eye-catching design. The sides and back provide product specifications and usage details. Inside, the vibrator was securely nestled in a moulded plastic insert, accompanied by a jackpin-to-USB charging cable.
Size & Measurements
At less than 9 inches overall length, this isn’t a mini wand or a full-size wand vibrator – I’d say it’s regular vibrator sized, in wand vibe style.
By my measurements, The One Wand Vibrator measures just under 9 inches in overall length, with the handle measuring 6 inches in length, the head 1.75 inches and the neck portion approximately 1.25 inches. This sex toy is not intended to be an internal use vibrator, but to help you get an idea of its size, the head’s maximum circumference is 5.5 inches.
How To Charge Up
Charging up The One Wand Vibrator is easy with the included jackpin-to-USB charging lead. Push the jackpin end of the wire into the port provided for it on the base of the handle, then plug the other end into a USB port of your choice.
I like to use the USB port on the side of my laptop in my home office, or the multi-USB to mains plug at the side of my bed. These are extremely useful and I strongly recommend everyone has at least one. You can buy them cheaply from Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk.
While charging, an LED behind the operation button blinks, which looks like a white blinking circle through the toy’s silicone outer. Once it’s fully charged, this changes to emit a steady glow. It takes about 2 hours to charge from zero, which provides a maximum of 1.5 hours playtime.
Top tip: I’d advise additionally labelling the charging lead in some way immediately upon unpackaging the product. This means you can easily identify the sex toy wire you’re looking for when it gets tossed into your drawer or box of charging leads.
I use my trusty DYMO labeller which is available from Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk for all my sex toy charging leads – and it has plenty of other uses around the house, too.
Slip Insert
I found a confusing insert in the box, a small piece of paper mentioning a travel lock and how to activate it. However, the vibrator doesn’t have this symbol on its power button, and I can’t find a way to activate a travel lock if it has one. Perhaps this slip insert has been included in the box in error.
Operation & Controls
There are three buttons on the handle of The One Wand Vibrator. Press and hold the centre button to put the vibrator into standby mode. Then, use the + button to begin discovering the 10 settings. There are 3 constant vibration settings, the rest are patterns and pulses. Use the – button to scroll back down through the settings. Press and hold the central button to switch the vibrator off.
