Satisfyer Partner Multifun 1 Review
Satisfyer Partner Multifun 1 review by BarginHunta
Satisfyer has built quite the reputation in the sex toy world for its style of toys. Recently we had the opportunity to review something different to their previous air pulse style stimulators and try something intended for partners to enjoy.
The Satisfyer Partner Multifun 1 comes in a cardboard box with a tasteful image of the toy on the front, and the pastel blue of the toy carried through the rest of the box design.
The innocence ends at the front of the box, and flipping it around you are faced with fourteen images of suggestion of how to use the toy. These are all tastefully done, and do give a fair amount of inspiration as to how to might use the toy.
The marketing blurb says “more than 14 ways to enjoy!”, but our impression is that effectively they created this vibrating multipurpose… thing, and it’s up to you to decide how to best use it for you!
The side of the box does give the ‘vital stats’ measurements, but as this is not an insertable toy as such it is debatable as to exactly how useful this information really is; none the less, it is there.
As with all the Satisfyer toys we’ve had in the past, and definitely worthy of note, is that the box is sealed with a tamper evident hygiene seal – not many manufacturers seem to bother with this, but it can give an additional piece of mind that the toy has not been opened, returned, or resold prior to your purchase without your knowledge.
When opening the box we tried to open it by just peeling the hygiene seal off of the box (rather than cutting it) and are pleased to say that even doing this leaves the seal in a state where it is obvious it has been opened.
The Satisfyer Partner Multifun 1 is packaged in a plastic tray inside the box, and once removed the contents of the package consist of:
- The Satisfyer Partner Multifun 1
- A USB charging cable
- An instruction leaflet
- A safety information leaflet
The silicone of the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 1 has a great feeling smooth satin surface finish. This makes the whole toy feel soft and warm, regardless of its actual temperature.
It has two control buttons, and these are simply raised areas of the silicone, one marked with a single dot, the other with two.
As revealed in the instruction leaflet the single dot button controls vibrations in the main body of the unit, whereas the double dot button controls vibrations in the tips of the ‘pincers’.
Each of these is held for approximately two seconds to turn the vibration on or off, and can then be pressed the cycle through a total of ten different speeds and vibration patterns.
Initial impressions are that these vibrations seem to be well located, with the ‘tip’ vibrations really being felt in the tips, and in comparison the ‘body’ vibrations being well isolated to the body area.
One of the great features of the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 1 is that it is rechargeable, and as with all rechargeable toys the first thing to do is to charge it.
According to the instruction leaflet you can expect a full charge to take approximately two hours, and then get up to sixty minutes of playtime from that charge.
The charging connection is by means of a magnetic connection to two small metal spots on the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 1, which will be familiar to anyone who has used previous Satisfyer toys. Also you do need to supply your own USB charger (or computer), as Satisfyer provide only the USB to Satisfyer Partner Multifun 1 connecting cable.
To the charging cable to the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 1 you simply offer the cable to the connection points until it snaps into place (it will only connect one way around)
However, we found that this was not without difficulties. The surface of the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 1 is curved at this point, and the cable itself also appears to have changed slightly from previous Satisfyer products we have had, and indeed is even different to the one pictured on Satisfyer’s own website.
Note the chunky oval connection shown in the photos above, compared to the flatter, circular connector shown on the website image below;
We found that despite this appearing to be a minor change, it caused a huge number of issues, with the weight of the cable now hanging from the magnetic connections, more often than not disconnecting the charging cable from the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 1. We were able to work around this by propping the cable against something to remove the weight of the connection from the magnetic points, but in our opinion this is a bad change of design.
How It Feels
So, what does all this add up to? How does this flexible multipurpose toy actually perform?
Well, we tried it in a multitude of ways;
Mr BarginHunta tried it in many of the suggested positions when worn around the penis, and although “aware” of the vibrations really didn’t get anything from it. Mrs BarginHunta was also unable to feel any of the vibrations through his penis no matter what level it was set to.
We also tried it during sex, but again he didn’t get anything from it, and she didn’t get anything vaginally, and (as with all cock rings) it doesn’t hit the spot often enough to get any clitoral stimulation from it either.
Lastly we tried using it just for her; some of the suggested uses did make us wonder who had drawn the illustrations, and whether they have the genitals involved; we really couldn’t work out quite how the g-spot illustration was supposed to work in practice for example!
The vibrating body of the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 1 did nothing for her, with its surface simply being too broad.
The ‘pincer tips’ however did provide some interesting results!
We found that by positioning the relatively tightly squeezing tips behind her clitoris the vibrations could work wonders! Due to the shape of the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 1 it is possible to use it either way around, with the body of the toy resting on the pubic area and the tips nestled behind the clitoris. This allows for a truly hands-free orgasm as the tips grip and pull slightly whilst the well located vibrations do their work! Just don’t use too much lubricant, and do be prepared to take a moment or two to get the positioning correct, but then leave it to work its magic!
Being entirely waterproof the cleaning of the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 1 is incredibly easy and can be cleaned using just clean water and an antibacterial cleaner or specialist sexy toy cleaner.
It was interesting to see such a multipurpose toy that is largely down to the user(s) to decide how to use it, and what to do with it, but because of that our impression was that it didn’t actually do most of the things very well.
Its saving grace was that it did manage to do one thing very well, and if it was sold as only being suitable for that it would achieve good marks for that, so we have to take that into account.
Charging can be very problematic, requiring careful alignment of the cable meaning that charging the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 1 out of site in a drawer is almost out of the question.
Build quality and materials are, as usual, of very high quality and present a very smooth and comfortable sex toy.
Overall rating 8/10
Bizarrely the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 1 is one of two simultaneously launched designs that are extremely similar, the other being the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 2 (see our Satisfyer Partner Multifun 2 review).
These two devices are so similar that it is unclear why Satisfyer decided to launch them both, unless they simply couldn’t decide which to use as the final design!
They both follow the same general design, with just slight design differences in both the bodies, and the tips of the toys. See our other review to see how the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 2 fared!
