To charge up:
- Insert the USB end of the included charging wire into a USB port of your choice

To use:
- Charge up We-Vibe Melt 2 fully, using the included magnetic attach/USB wire.
- Rinse We-Vibe Melt 2 with warm water & dry with a lint-free cloth.
- Add a little lube to your clitoris
- Press the + button to switch on, then to raise intensity
- Use > to switch to the next pattern, or < to return to the previous one
- Press the – button to lower intensity, or hold to switch off
- The ~ button is used to activate Smart Silence, or press & hold to connect the Melt 2 to the We-Vibe app
- Activate the travel lock by holding + and – together for 2 seconds (Melt 2 will pulse twice), Repeat to unlock.

Getting Started
I’ll start by admitting that I find We-Vibe sex toys quite intimidating. In a good way. The vast array of features and brilliant, cutting-edge technology which has secured a steady stream of sex industry awards for the brand often make me feel like I need to sit down and revise the instruction manual in depth before picking up the actual toy. Usually upon opening a new vibrator package I can simply charge it up then splash on some lube and worry about figuring out the controls while I’m en route to orgasm. My approach with We-Vibe is quite different. There’s a reverence for the brand as well as personal experience telling me that I really should read the instructions to get the best out of the toy before I dive in, clit first.
That’s why I opened this review with clear instructions when it comes to charging up, manually operating and connecting the app to the We-Vibe Melt 2. Having it clearly laid out for you will provide a quick start when it comes to enjoying everything this sophisticated sex toy has to offer. And it offers a lot.
What Makes Me Melt
Since getting to grips with all of Melt 2’s fantastic features, using this top spec clitoral stimulator has been a dream. Enabling the Smart Silence option means that the air pulsing through the clit stim hood only activates when in contact with my body, so I’m in full control when it comes to exactly when and where the action is happening. It means no power is wasted during times the sex toy isn’t in direct contact with me, and besides that, I can immediately stop the stimulation and noise emission if anyone is nearby. We-Vibe Melt 2 is fairly quiet during use, but like all motorised sex toys I’ve experienced thus far, it isn’t silent. Smart Silence gives me the freedom to self-stim and play on my terms, when I decide – and only when I decide.

We-Vibe Melt 2 offers a variety of options when it comes to the speed and pattern of air pulsing through the clit hood, delivering incredibly effective stimulation to the clitoris. There are 7 stimulation settings altogether. These include constant air pulsing (the tempo of which can be increased or decreased using the + and – buttons) and 6 patterns (explored through the > and < buttons).
How Melt 2 Feels During Use
In one word? Intense. Intensely amazing. We-Vibe Melt 2 is able to bring me to a shudderingly powerful orgasm in a breathtakingly short amount of time. I can switch the air pulsing speed to the lowest setting, if I want the experience to last a little longer. The silicone around the clitoral hood of the device is flexible and comfortably sits over my clitoris, comfort which is enhanced by the addition of some water-based lube first. This stops the area getting dry from the air pulsing sensation and any risk of chafing or discomfort. I don’t always use lube with other clitoral stim toys, such as bullets and wand vibrators, but with air pulsing styles I find it’s essential.
Using the buttons on the Melt 2 itself to control the settings is ok, but it’s far easier (and you’re less likely to hit the wrong button by accident during the throes of clitoral ecstasy) to connect it to the We-Vibe app and enjoy its extensive stim options that way. I love using the We-Vibe Melt 2 with the Smart Silence tech enabled, meaning I can instantly stop the play party by simply moving it away from my body, whether for overstimulation or discretion reasons. I feel this also helps conserve the battery life better than a constantly ‘on’ sex toy; not that Melt 2 runs out quickly in any case. 90 mins max playtime from a full charge, which from zero takes 90 minutes.
We-Vibe Melt 2 is brilliant at giving me almost effortless fast and intense clitoral orgasms, whether I enjoy one during a quickie or slower-pace solo sesh or add clitoral ripples of joy to foreplay and sex with my husband. Notes
Although I’m fairly obviously in love with the We-Vibe Melt 2, I have a few small notes about the product.
The type of silicone used isn’t velvety smooth, it’s more of a high-grip, almost rubber-feel silicone. It picks up hair, dust and lint extremely easily, and simply doesn’t feel as high end as a smoother surface silicone would, in my opinion.
I wish the charging method was a universal type such as USB-C, while retaining full waterproof rating, rather than the magnetic charging style which requires the exact lead included with the toy.
If controlling the Melt 2 using the buttons on the toy, it’s very easy to hit the ~ button during use rather than the – button. This is easily solved by controlling the toy via the We-Vibe app instead, but it’s something to be aware of if you opt for manual control.
The Smart Silence tech can lead to mistakenly thinking that We-Vibe Melt 2 has been switched off, when actually it’s in Smart Silence mode and simply not ‘air pulsing’ because it’s away from a body. You need to remember to switch the toy off fully each time after use to avoid this issue. It could also be avoided by getting into the habit of enabling the travel lock after use (hold the + and – buttons down for 2 seconds, the toy will pulse twice to confirm; do the same to unlock).
Irrelevant to product usage, but the ’Getting to know your Melt 2’ part of the included instruction leaflet has so many typos. At the time of writing there is no user manual available online for the Melt 2 either. I feel sure this will be added to the We-Vibe user manual library soon.
