Satisfyer Partner Multifun 2 Review
Satisfyer Partner Multifun 2 review by BarginHunta
Previously having focused on the air-pulsed stimulators, Satisfyer have brought something different to the market with these horseshoe shaped toys intended for partners. As we had the opportunity to review both models, how did the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 2 fare?
The packaging of the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 2 is decorated with pastel pink tones matching the colour of the image of the product on the front of the box.
The rear of the box is a little saucier, covered with illustrations of suggestions of how you might use your new toy.
There are 14 illustrations in total, covering a full selection of solo penis, solo vaginal & clitoral, nipple, and couple play.
Of course these are only suggestions and you can probably come up with many more ways to experience the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 2.
The box also contains a side on image of the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 2 complete with length measurements, but as the toy is not really an insertable item we are not sure what the value of this is.
In common with all the Satisfyer toys that we’ve seen previously the box is sealed with a tamper evident hygiene seal which is a proper tamper evident seal, not just a sticky label.
The box contains:
- The Satisfyer Partner Multifun 2 (in a plastic tray)
- A USB charging cable
- An instruction leaflet
- A safety information leaflet
The Satisfyer Partner Multifun 2 is crafted from ABS and silicone and has a great satin-feel finish.
The toy has just two control buttons on it, and these are grouped together on the main body of the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 2.
The single dot button controls vibrations in the main body of the unit, whereas the double dot button controls vibrations in the tips of the horseshoe.
The buttons operate identically, controlling their respective parts of the vibrator;
Holding the button for approximately two seconds will turn the vibrations on or off, and single presses will step through the various presets.
The presets consist of a number of fixed speeds, as well as a variety of patterns giving 10 choices for each of the vibration areas.
The buzzing of the vibrations do seem to be quite well isolated and directed. You can use the main body vibrations with little effect on the tips of the horseshoe, or equally you can have the tips set to max and not really notice them in the body section. Of course you can set both to maximum if that’s what you want too!
According the leaflet you will get up to sixty minutes of playtime from a full charge, which takes approximately two hours, so we must start there.
Anyone who has used previous Satisfyer rechargeable products will be familiar with the charging mechanism, as the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 2 utilises the same magnetic contact style connection.
To connect the charging cable to the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 2 you simply offer the cable to the connection points until it snaps into place (it will only connect one way around).
Although the cable is provided, it is down to the user to provide their own USB charger, whether that be a wall adaptor, or a PC type connection.
Although this has worked really well with previous products, we did have some problems with the arrangement of the charging points and cable on the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 2.
Previous products (and the Satisfyer website) show the charging cable with a flat round connector as pictured below, however (as above) the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 2 has a much chunkier connector.
We found that the additional weight on the cable from this chunkier connector, combined with the ball contacts on the actual connector, and curved surface of the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 2, meant that the cable kept on disconnecting from the charging points.
In the end we ended up having to support the cable just to maintain the connection so that the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 2 could charge.
How It Feels
As the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 2 is intended to be used in a variety of ways we thought it only fair to give it a try in as many different ways as we could!
We tried it during sex, but found that he didn’t get anything from the vibrations and she couldn’t feel anything either.
As we find with all vibrating cock ring styles it doesn’t hit the right point on her often enough for her to get anything from it, and the vibrations aren’t strong enough to feel anything through his penis either.
In isolation we tried hanging around the penis, nestling it against the balls, teasing the head with the tips of the horseshoe and a variety of other placements and although the vibrations could always be felt, they didn’t really do anything. However this might be a case of not yet finding the right position, and is likely to vary person to person.
When used in isolation focusing just on her, we found that the fingers did have intense vibrations, but the spacing between them was to large to provide effective vibrations to her clitoris. Unable to keep both sides in contact at the same time she found that she had to instead favour one over the other.
Whilst this was OK, it was disappointing… and you could really tell that most of the vibration was being focused into whichever finger wasn’t in contact with the bits that mattered!
Essentially this meant that it was just being used as an awkwardly shaped, low powered bullet type vibrator – most UN-Satisfying!
We tried some of the other suggested uses and at times it did make us wonder who had drawn the illustrations, and whether they have the genitals involved; we really couldn’t work out quite how the g-spot illustration was supposed to work in practice for example!
The Satisfyer Partner Multifun 2 is incredibly easy to clean using just clean water and an antibacterial cleaner or specialist sexy toy cleaner since it is entirely waterproof.
The production quality and choice of materials and finish are of great quality, giving you a very comfortable sex toy with no concerns over seams or rough edges.
As a rechargeable toy you will actually spend more time recharging the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 2 than you will using it, so it is a big disappointment that it is so problematic. Normally we will connect the charger to a toy and then put it in a drawer out-of-sight to charge, but this is totally out of the question with this since you cannot rely on the cable remaining connected.
It was an interesting review opportunity to see how many ways we could find to use a multipurpose toy such as the Satisfyer Partner Multifun 2, but unfortunately it just led to disappointment.
By not focusing on doing any one thing well it ended up doing lots of things badly in our opinion.
Overall rating 4/10
Weirdly Satisfyer launched two models of the Satisfyer Partner Multifun at the same time, imaginatively called the Multifun 1, and this, the Multifun 2 (see our Satisfyer Partner Multifun 1 review).
The two models are VERY similar in overall design, both taking the horseshoe type design, but with variations in the shape of the main body of the vibrator, and the curvature and positioning of the tips in relation to each other.
