Packaging & What’s In The Box
The NS Novelties Silicone Colours Pride Edition 5 Inch Dildo comes in a sturdy box proudly displaying an image of the dildo on one side (in actual size) and with a transparent dildo-shaped window on the other so you can see the actual product safely inset in its plastic moulded insert inside. The box has plenty of information about the product, the manufacturing company, material type and care instructions.
Inside the box there’s no messing about – you simply get the rainbow coloured silicone dildo for you to use, enjoy and store as you wish.
First Impressions & Measurements
What a pretty dildo! It has a very realistic design to it –not the colour, obviously- in terms of a phallic head, veined shaft and balls at the base. The silicone is described as ‘firm’ on the box but it’s not the firmest I’ve ever felt, and it’s not the squishiest either. It has a realistic squish to it, while remaining obviously made of silicone. The silicone isn’t the silkiest, in fact it’s a bit tacky/sticky. There’s no scent to it however. It’s just that sort of silicone which picks up fluff easily, so try not to drop it on the carpet or leave it to roll under the bed…
Total length of the dildo is 7 inches, with a maximum insertable length of 5.25 inches. The maximum circumference is 4.5 inches. The dildo not only has balls at the base, making it suitable for anal use/compatible with an o-ring strap-on harness should you wish, but also a suction cup. The diameter of the suction cup base is 2.25 inches.
Sadly, upon taking the initial photos of the product, I noticed a small dark dot on the head of the dildo. It’s a black/dark grey mark on the red part, just a glitch in the silicone I think, and doesn’t affect the smooth surface or the dildo’s use in any way. I’m not going to be too bothered about the aesthetics during use, anyway…
During Use
Getting down to use the dildo was fun. Despite saying the aesthetics don’t really matter during use, which is true, the rainbow stripes made the experience seem more joyful right from the outset. Due to the grabby nature of the silicone material, I used some of my Lovehoney Delight Water-Based Lubricant both on myself and the dildo before I started.
Thanks to the suction cup base I was able to ‘anchor’ it to the loo lid, forming a wonderfully perverted seat. You could use this dildo vaginally or anally due to the balls and base, but I chose to use this dildo vaginally – I have anal specific toys which I prefer. Riding the dildo was a memorable and delicious experience. The lubricant made for gorgeous glide, while the vein detailing beyond that realistic bulbous head felt amazing as they slid inside.
After a while I found the position rather low – due to the height of the loo lid rather than anything to do with the dildo – so I swapped to position it atop my Liberator Esse Chaise (sex lounger). Despite not suctioning as well to this faux leather material, the height was absolutely perfect –and the cushioned seat made for orgasmic bounce.
I don’t orgasm from vaginal penetration alone, but I was still loving the ride… The size and design of the dildo makes for a real-feel experience (particularly if you’ve forgotten that it’s rainbow striped, obviously). The balls at the base rubbing against my clit mid-ride felt nice, but not as euphoric as when I added in my favourite bullet vibrator to finish off perfectly.
Summary
For those who want to celebrate Pride in an intimate yet still playful way, this dildo is a fantastic buy. It’s also great if you just want to add a colourful realistic style penetrable to your toy collection, whether you like to receive your phalluses vaginally or anally. The suction cup base means it’s also compatible with an o-ring strap on harness.
Something to bear in mind is the size of this dildo. The insertable length is 5.25 inches at the very most, so it’s really best for those who would like a realistic experience as well as design. If you need a longer or girthier dildo in order to feel satisfied, it may not be the right choice for you.
