Retailing for approximately £150 online, the Nexus Revo Stealth has a superpower that no other prostate massages do. But before you recoil in disgust at spending that much on a thing to put up your bum, I’ll spoil the rest of the review and just come right out and say it: the Nexus Revo is amazing. It’ll do things you never thought possible.

It’s a simple unboxing, but one that oozes premium quality. After removing the attractive outer sleeve with orange accents, you’ll find a sleek black box, containing:

Design & Materials

Weighing in at 184g, the widest insertable part of the toy measures 3.5cm diameter, with a total insertable length of 10cm. I wouldn’t say it’s overly large by anal toy standards: the insertable part is comparable to other prostate massagers, given the specific purpose they serve. But it may still look quite daunting to someone entirely new to anal play. This probably shouldn’t be your first anal toy.

The base itself is quite bulky and heavy, and that’s due to the powerful motor required to drive a rotating massage head. Making something vibrate is relatively easy, but physical moving a blob of silicone around while encountering resistance from human flesh–that requires some powerful torque. I do worry about the durable of this specific part of the toy and the mechanics that drive it. A number of Amazon reviews echo this sentiment, noting failure within a few months. Make sure you keep your receipt to take advantage of the one year warranty and get lots of use out of it!

The Nexus Revo Stealth is made almost entirely of premium body-safe silicone, with only a small area of ABS plastic surrounding the control and charging port. ABS plastic is considered body-safe too, but since this part of the toy will never enter your body, it doesn’t matter anyway.

The only downside to this silky smooth silicone is that it seems to attract microfibres from anything it touches, including the box it comes in, which is lined with fur. Wash before every use.

The shape of all prostate massagers is generally similar. They need to go in, then curve around slightly to the base of your penis. The Revo doesn’t curve as much as most manual massagers though, probably because the rotating head requires a straight drive shaft from the large motor in the base.

Since this is an updated model, we should mention briefly that the main difference with the previous model is that this is now fully waterproof, not just splash proof, so it can be taken into the bath or shower safely.

Features

The Nexus is a first and foremost a prostate massager, so the smaller part of the design should be inserted anally, with the slight hook curved upwards toward your penis. The bumpy part of the base of the toy will rest on your perineum. The tip should be touching your prostate, and when the revolving head is turned on (which is where the “Revo” in the name comes from), it’ll gently massage you from the inside.

Inside the base is a vibration motor too, which penetrates throughout the toy–more on the vibes later.

How Does It Feel?

Most prostate massagers are designed for manual use, or have simple vibrations. While the Nexus Revo Stealth Prostate Massager also vibrates, the main function is a revolving head that massages the prostate in a perfect circular motion. This is, as far as I can tell, is completely unique. No other prostate massager offers the same. Check it out, in action:

The Nexus does also vibrate, and the motor appears to be located around where the device sits on your perineum (the bit between your anus and penis). However, the vibrations are terribly buzzy, which is especially disappointing considering the cost and overall size of the toy.

The strength of vibrations is a function of the off-centre weight placed on the end of a motor. Larger weights require a larger motor and more power to drive. I suspect most of the power is used to drive the revolving arm.

There are a few different vibration patterns, but truth be told, I ended up ignoring vibration most of the time and just focusing on the revolving massager. The vibration adds little to the experience and felt like a distraction.

Remote & Pairing

Operation is relatively simple, with only two buttons on the Revo itself.

Tap the vibration button once to turn on the device, then press either the vibration or the motion button to turn on that feature. Both vibration and revolving motions can be operated or turned off independently.

Hold down the vibration button (on the Revo) for a few seconds to turn the toy off.

The massaging motion choice is somewhat limited, with two speeds clockwise and two speeds anti-clockwise. There are 6 vibration programs: slow, medium, fast, slow pulse, fast pulse, and building.

The remote has an additional power button. You can press this to immediately pause all motion and vibrations, or hold it down to turn off the Revo completely. If you press it briefly again after pausing it, you can immediately resume whatever programs were activated before.

If the remote isn’t responding, one of two things might be wrong. Either the Revo isn’t turned on (press the vibration button on the device briefly to turn it on); or the remote hasn’t be synced to the toy. If this happens, turn off the Revo, then hold the vibration button for a few seconds until the LEDs flash red. Now press the power LED on the remote. It’ll sync back up and the remote should be functional again. Note that the remote can’t remotely turn on the Revo: it can control it, and turn it off, but the power in the Revo must be manually turned on from the vibration switch on the Revo before the remote is functional.

The remote appears to be based on the 433mHz RF frequency. I only mention this because if you have a radio frequency home automation system that can learn new commands, you might be able to automate your prostate massage.

Charging

Both the Revo and its remote control charge using the same magnetic disc USB cable, which is neat. You can only charge one or the other at the same time, but this is unlikely to ever present a problem. I appreciate not having to rummage around for a coin cell battery as most diminutive remotes tend to use.

The Revo LEDs turn red when charging, and green when charging is complete. The remote flashes green when charging, and stays solid green when full.

The use of a completely sealed charging plug on the Revo also means it can be marketed as completely waterproof. Go ahead and take this into the bath or shower if you like.

In Use

For me, the attraction of the Nexus Revo Stealth Prostate Massager was that it’s mostly hands-free. That means it can be used during bondage, or just when I’m being super lazy.

In reality–and this will really vary according to your body shape–I found it difficult to keep positioned correctly without keeping my hand down there. I didn’t have to manipulate it in any way, but I did need to keep it pushed in and angled a little more upright. This meant for truly hands-free operation, I would need to use a bondage belt of some kind.

Being lazy in the bath was great fun, but trying to keep it in while standing in the shower was ineffective. I could hold it in with my legs together, but I could barely feel it on my prostate.

I had the best results lying down.

The Mysterious P-Gasm

P-Gasm is the name given to an orgasm through prostate massage, and it can be quite elusive.

Unlike a regular orgasm, it’s a lot harder to achieve a p-gasm, and not everyone will be able to, even with practice. It’s an entirely more cerebral experience that requires concentration on the stimulation, and it took three or four lengthy long before I managed to ejaculate from the Nexus Revo prostate massage alone.

Masturbation in the traditional way can often feel shallow and all too much like a quick fix. A prostate massage keeps you in a state of emotional high with waves of pleasure for significantly longer, but takes far more effort to get to that point.

A prostate massage leading to p-gasm is absolutely worth trying, but whether you want to spend £150 on trying is another matter.

The Ultimate Hands-Free Prostate Massager?

Prostate massage doesn’t work so well with just vibrations, so as the only devices on the market that actually produce a sensation of gently rubbing your prostate, the Nexus Revo range is by default the best hands-free prostate massagers. That’s still not to say it’ll definitely get you off, however.

Before purchasing, you might want to experiment with a much cheaper manual prostate massager first. See how you like the sensation. Then consider upgrading to the ultimate hands-free stimulation.

The only reason not to buy the Nexus Revo Stealth is if you want something a little more intense. In which case, the Nexus Revo Intense might be more up your alley. It has a more pronounced curve to the rotating shaft, so it pushes harder against your prostate. They are otherwise functionally identical.

I score the Nexus Revo Stealth Prostate Massager a butt-clenchingly good 9/10.
