Nexus G-Rider Prostate Massager Review

By minnie

Having reviewed the Nexus Excel Prostate Massager last summer, Cara Sutra recently asked me to review the Nexus G-Rider Prostate Massager from Nexus Range. It is very similar in size and shape to the Excel, which was good news for me as the Excel certainly worked wonders for me, so I had high hopes.

The main difference between the two is that the Nexus G-Rider Prostate Massager contains a vibrator, with several different modes. The T shaped horns are flatter and are ridged to enhance the sensations. Thoughtfully it is supplied with a single AAA battery, which is fitted through a removable cap into the main shaft. There is also a small rubberised button next to the cap which is used to scroll through the various vibration sequences as well as to turn the vibe off.

It’s a nice thick size, chunky and solid. It’s about 4″ long and 1.5″ diameter at its widest part.

Having given it a precautionary wash and applied lube, it slid in easily, though novices may find it a bit chunky at first.

As soon as the Nexus G-Rider Prostate Massager was in, my cock began to dribble cum, as with the Excel. So far, so good. I managed to find the button to turn on the vibe, however it’s quite small and not easy to locate or push, especially when covered in lube.

I scrolled through the different settings before settling for the constant full speed setting which suited me best. As before, my cock was leaking good amounts of cum, with little difference whether the vibe was on or not.

I enjoyed the Nexus G-Rider Prostate Massager for half an hour or so before removing it. When I tried to wash it I discovered the main draw back to this otherwise excellent massager. As well as the cap for the battery being quite small and fiddly to fit it is also not even splash-proof which makes immersing it in water to wash thoroughly impossible. The raised nodules on the T bar tend to hold whichever lube you have used and, without being able to immerse it makes thorough cleaning very difficult.

This is a great shame as otherwise I had a great time testing and reviewing the Nexus G-Rider. I’m sure the makers could modify the cap so it is waterproofed, a la RO-80 bullets perhaps.

The Nexus G-Rider Prostate Massager is as effective as the Excel, but due to the lack of waterproofing for the battery and hard to use button I can only award it 6 out of 10.

Post Script

This review comes to you from minnie, as it’s a sex toy for someone with a prostate. My partner took one look and said this would be too girthy for him, so minnie will have to do! The Nexus G-Rider was provided by Lovehoney free of charge in exchange for a fair, honest and unbiased review.

Update: 13 January 2014

Due to the information added by Monique from Nexus Range in the comments below, minnie has added another point to this sex toy review, taking the score from 6/10 to 7/10. The packaging should be clearer about the fact that the inner vibrator can be removed, but he is very pleased that this is possible.

  1. Hi Minnie,

    Nexus here.

Thanks for your review of our G Rider. Just to let you know you can take out the inner vibrator so you can fully clean the silicone outer. You can even dish washer it if you like!

    • Thanks Mon. Minnie says thanks for the update – it wasn’t clear on the packaging that you could remove the inner vibrator, so perhaps this needs to be looked at? In light of this information the mark goes up one point 🙂

      Thanks again!
      ~ Cara
