Packaging
The Mantric Rechargeable Wand Vibrator arrived in Lovehoney’s usual discreet outer wrap for the post, while the vibrator box was packaged securely inside. This wand vibe and other sex toys I’ve seen in the Mantric range are packaged within the same design style box; sturdy brown card with the Mantric logo and minimal information about the specific product housed within.
Mantric is a Lovehoney brand.
What’s In The Box
Cutting the seal to open the box, I was ready to find out what was included with my new wand vibrator.
The Mantric Rechargeable Wand Vibrator was sheathed in a semi-opaque white plastic sleeve, as was the USB charging lead. A multi-lingual instruction leaflet is enclosed, with all these items securely nestled within foam segments in the box.

Measurements
My Mantric Rechargeable Wand Vibrator measures 9.5 in overall length, with the head and neck part measuring 3 inches in length and the handle part 6.5 inches.
I will add here that the circumference of the head is 5.25 inches. This may or may not be relevant to your personal interests, as you’ll find out later on… 😏
Charging Up
Charging the Mantric Rechargeable Wand Vibrator is easy using the included USB charging lead and a USB port of your choice. I like to use the ones on my laptop while I’m in the office, or my multi-USB to mains adaptor plug next to my bed.
These are SO handy and can be picked up easily from online stores (click to browse a selection at Amazon.com & Amazon.co.uk).
The light panel on the side of the Mantric Wand handle slow blinks while it’s charging up. This changes to a steadily emitted glow once the wand vibrator is fully charged.

This Mantric Wand takes approximately 150 minutes to fully charge from scratch, and a full charge provides up to 90 minutes of use.
Operation
The Mantric Rechargeable Wand Vibrator is switched on, when fully charged, by pressing the centre button (the circle). You will see the plastic covered section in the handle light up, slow blinking through a selection of colours. It’s pretty! You then press again for the vibrations to start. There’s 7 functions, including constant vibration and a variety of patterns and pulses.
You can increase or decrease the speed of any vibrating function by pressing the + or – buttons while the wand vibrator is on and vibrating.
To switch off, you need to press and hold the centre button until the side lights turn completely off. The wand vibrator always starts back at mode 1 (constant vibration) when you turn it on, no matter which one you switched it off at.
This wand vibrator is described as waterproof. The leaflet doesn’t state to which IP code level of waterproofness; it just says ‘waterproof’ so I’d advise only popping it under the tap for cleaning, and use in the shower rather than the bath, just to be on the safe side.
Vibrating Functions

The light panel on the side has a corresponding colour for the function the Mantric Wand vibrator is currently on, not that it’s likely you’ll be looking at that section during use. It’s a cute idea anyway. The vibrating functions of the Mantric Wand vibe are described in the accompanying leaflet as follows:
- Mode 1 – Red – Vibrations [constant vibration]
- Mode 2 – Blue – Slow Pulse
- Mode 3 – Green – Medium Pulse
- Mode 4 – Purple – Fast Pulse
- Mode 5 – Cyan – Twin Pulse
- Mode 6 – Yellow – Short Wave
- Mode 7 – Violet – Long Wave
- Mode 8 – Standby [no vibration, ready to be switched off properly]
Travel Lock
This Mantric Rechargeable Wand Vibrator also has a handy travel lock feature. This prevents the toy from being accidentally switched on in a bag or another occasion when not in use. To activate, you need to press and hold the centre button for three seconds (this is different from switching the toy on, which is just a quick-press). The light panel flashes 6 times and the wand will quick-vibe twice, letting you know that the toy is now safely locked.
To unlock, press and hold that centre button again for 3 seconds. The light panel will flash just 3 times and the wand will buzz twice, again, which lets you know that the wand vibe is now unlocked. Alternatively you can just plug the Mantric Wand Vibrator into a USB port using the included charging lead, which will deactivate the travel lock.
During Use
As usual, when trying a multi-function vibrator for the first time, I went into it with an open mind regarding the various settings – and ended up preferring the constant vibration as pretty much always. It’s fantastic that there are various functions available to enjoy with the Mantric Rechargeable Wand Vibrator; I’m just sorry that they’re not for me. I’m sure there are many people out there who do enjoy a pulse or oscillating mode, though.
This wand vibe is definitely more on the rumbly side rather than tinny buzz. I can orgasm with vibrators that provide either kind of vibration, as long as they’re powerful enough. I’m not a rumbly-toy-only kinda woman. I wouldn’t say this is the rumbliest vibrator I’ve ever tried, and for that you may need a mains powered style or even a full size sex machine. However, it’s pretty decent.
When I reach for a vibrator, I don’t want to ‘waste time’ getting teased and taking my time over the session. Not that there’s anything wrong with that style of play of course, it’s just not my thing. I want to grab a vibrator and get my rocks off as soon as possible. I’m not one for being teased in any case, and as I enjoy a full sex life with my partner we save the extensive physical forays and enjoyment for our shared playtimes. Therefore, when using the Mantric Rechargeable Wand Vibrator I hit up the fastest constant speed of vibration every time.
To be honest, this is the only setting which can bring me to orgasm anyway. Some may say that’s because I’ve conditioned myself to only orgasm via the fastest possible speeds of vibration… and I’d say well, you could have a point there. Doesn’t change the fact that when I reach for my Mantric Wand Vibrator, I want to orgasm at some point in the extremely near future, and I impatiently hit the fastest speed setting until I’m fully satisfied.
I must say that the Mantric Rechargeable Wand Vibrator does the job, and does it well. I’m left with wonderfully shaky ‘jelly legs’ and that post-orgasm glow of satisfaction. Being a rebel at heart, I even tried out this Mantric Wand in a way which definitely isn’t recommended – seriously, do this at your own risk, I can’t be held responsible for what happens – placing the head of the wand inside my vagina and using another vibrator clitorally for some of the most intense orgasms this year so far.
This took an extra splash of water-based lubricant in order to insert the head, and it doesn’t go in that far, just inside my entrance. It felt fantastic though, a feeling which I’m sure was enhanced by knowing I was disobeying the manufacturer’s recommended use. Whatever gets you (me) off, I suppose…
In addition, the Mantric Rechargeable Wand Vibrator is fairly quiet during use and this is muffled further by using under a blanket or duvet. The silicone material is silky smooth and feels delightful against (and inside 😏) your skin, and is beautifully compatible with good quality water-based lubricant. My husband and I also enjoyed discovering the delights of this lightweight, easy to operate wand vibe during our foreplay and sex sessions together.
