Packaging
My Rechargeable Wand Vibrator arrived in the usual extremely discreet outer packaging for the post from Lovehoney. The wand vibrator was in a recognisable Lovehoney branded glossy card box, with a picture of the wand vibe and some information about it on the sides.
What’s In The Box
Inside the box, the Lovehoney USB Rechargeable Mini Pink Glitter Wand Vibrator is kept safe and secure during transit and delivery in a moulded plastic insert. The USB charging lead is included.
First Impressions & Measurements
From the pictures online and on the box, I was concerned that the pink glitter style of the wand might lead to a rough surface on the wand vibrator’s body. This might have meant that the pink glitter style was an effect added to a base plastic body, which over time could deteriorate through much handling and multiple play sessions. I didn’t want to end up with a previously pretty pink glittery wand vibe where the pink glitter had rubbed off in patches. Especially from a product that I use on my most intimate regions.
I was extremely relieved to discover than instead of an added-on surface, the pink glitter style is an integral part of the plastic material itself, which has been used to make the body of the Pink Glitter Wand Vibrator. It feels slightly textured but there’s no worry about any glitter coming off on your hand or elsewhere as it’s within the material and just an effect. Therefore I’m reassured that there won’t be any deterioration or ‘rubbing off’ of the bad kind!
The Lovehoney USB Rechargeable Mini Pink Glitter Wand Vibrator measures 7.25 inches in overall length, and the head has a circumference of 4.5 inches. This is an external use only sex toy.
Charging Up
How do you charge up the Lovehoney USB Rechargeable Mini Pink Glitter Wand Vibrator? Easy – just use the included charging lead in any USB port. I like to use the ones on the front of my PC in the office, or the USB to mains adaptor plug I have by the bed (available from Amazon.com & Amazon UK).
The lead is plugged into the base of the wand with the other, jack pin style end.
A white LED slowly blinks behind the operation buttons on the handle while it’s charging, to let you know it’s all connected and charging up.
Once charged, it’s easy to figure the controls. There’s + and – buttons for on/more and less/off, with a central squiggle button to change the setting (constant and patterns available).
During Use
The neck of the Lovehoney USB Rechargeable Mini Pink Glitter Wand Vibrator is slightly flexible meaning that I can place it against my clitoris with ease during use. During my playtimes it was also noticeably quieter than the full-size magic wand vibrators in my collection.
I find the vibrations from the Lovehoney USB Mini Wands to be more buzzy and top-end, rather than deep and rumbly. This is likely due to the size and the motor type they can fit inside, and what sort of motor can be powered by USB charging, I guess. I’m certainly no electrician or electronics manufacturer!
That isn’t to say that higher frequency, buzzy style vibrations are bad -just different. I find it an easier, faster route to orgasm with my full-size magic wand vibrators which offer the deeper, rumblier vibes. I can orgasm from the fastest constant speed of this Lovehoney USB Rechargeable Mini Pink Glitter Wand Vibrator (my favourite setting -I’m not into pulses and patterns), but I have to work a little more to get there.
This mini wand vibe would be a great travel companion whether you’re off somewhere by yourself or with a lover. The size, light weight and USB charging feature means it’s supremely portable.
