The Lovehoney Beaded Heart Sensual Glass Dildo came in discreet outer wrap for the postal service, while the toy itself is in a recognisable, glossy card box with an image of the dildo and some information.

Inside the box, the dildo is inside a black velvety drawstring storage bag, carefully placed in a roll of foam with a couple of bands holding it safe and tight.
First Impressions & Measurements
The Lovehoney Beaded Heart Sensual Glass Dildo is quite pretty, with a rose pink heart shaped end bearing the Lovehoney heart logo. The clear shaft is solid and has a nice weight to it, with a couple of alluring ripples after the initial smoothly pointed tip which I couldn’t wait to experience internally.
The insertable length of this dildo is 6 inches, so it’s sized to suit most. As it’s a glass dildo you can use your choice of sexual lubricant with it. I usually prefer to use water-based lubes and my Lovehoney Delight Extra Silky Lube was to hand – a perfect match.
The overall length of this dildo is 7.75 inches, and the maximum circumference of a beaded area on the shaft is 4.5 inches.
During Use
As I expected, the Lovehoney Beaded Heart Sensual Glass Dildo lived up to my initial hopes. The clever but simple design makes for deliciously pleasurable solo play sessions, especially with the addition of my silky water-based lube.
This glass dildo is designed for vaginal use rather than anal. Despite the end having a slight collar before the heart, it isn’t really big enough to be described as a ‘flared base’, the type required to ensure a sex toy is anal safe. I have various anal-specific sex toys in any case, so it’s absolutely fine with me that the use of this dildo is limited to vaginal stimulation.
As always when I use glass or metal sex toys, the initial coolness of the unyielding, rigid material made me catch my breath upon insertion. I made sure I used some lube on the toy and myself, then placed the smoothly pointed tip between my ready pussy lips. Sliding it inside, slowly so I could enjoy the sensations, I gasped as my warmth enveloped each inch of the contoured glass toy.
Sliding over the central bead was sheer bliss… by the time my lips were kissing the final bead before the collar-and-heart end, I could feel that smooth pointed tip deep inside me, having warmed to my body temperature. That was as far as it could go, and thrusting it back and forth into my tight but lubricated opening, so I could feel it penetrating me almost to the hilt, was extremely arousing. The heart end makes it easier to keep a safe grip on the dildo during use, and I choose to use it in a lying down position for comfort and safety.

I’m very impressed with the Lovehoney Beaded Heart Sensual Glass Dildo and at under £30 it’s a genuine bargain. If you haven’t tried glass sex toys before you’re in for a treat. Glass dildos are safe for internal use, made from borosilicate glass (Pyrex) – yes, the same stuff they make the thick and durable oven dishes from.
Glass dildos can be warmed before use if you don’t like the cold feel before it warms to your body temperature naturally. Just place the dildo into some warm (but definitely not hot) water and the toy will be suffused with warmth for your comfort and pleasure. Alternatively if you love chilling thrills, especially on a hot summer’s day or night, you can cool the dildo further by running it under cold water or popping it into the fridge (not the freezer) for a short while before use. Warming or cooling a sex toy before use is known as temperature play.
