Lovehoney Silicone G-Spot Suction Cup Dildo Review (7 Inch)

This is a slightly different review, because although it’s for a sex toy described as a g-spot dildo, I actually bought it specifically for anal pleasure. Yes, I bought the Lovehoney Silicone G-Spot Suction Cup Dildo for myself; it looked like it would be perfect for my needs. So how did I get on with it? And why buy a g-spot dildo for anal use?

Lovehoney Silicone G-Spot Suction Cup Dildo Review 7 Inch

Packaging

My Lovehoney Silicone G-Spot Suction Cup Dildo came in the usual discreet outer box for the postal service, while the dildo itself was securely packed in a recognisable, glossy card box by Lovehoney. It has an image of the toy as well as some information about it.

What’s In The Box

inside the box you simply get the silicone G-spot dildo and a nice ‘quick-start’ leaflet.

First Impressions

I was pleased with the Lovehoney Silicone G-Spot Suction Cup Dildo as soon as I took it out of the box, it was as I imagined it to be in terms of colour, size, weight and material. As the name states, it’s a silicone g-spot dildo! With the suction cup base and the angled tip, as well as the smooth and comparatively slender shaft (compared to a butt plug), I was looking forward to trying out my anal play ideas…

Ok, so why buy a g-spot dildo for anal use?

A lot of my anal sex toys have the sort of base which isn’t best suited for sitting down while wearing them. They have a handle, or ring, or pet play tail, or some other sort of protrusion.

In addition, the size of butt plugs in my collection which do have a flat base or other style I could comfortably sit in, are pretty small. Some of them have the width (which can take some getting over, literally) but I like a bit of length. I find girth more relevant (& comfortable) with vaginal sex toys and during pussy penetration in general.

You may have read my Lovehoney Classic Silicone Slimline Medium Butt Plug review, which is another sex toy I bought in my search for my perfect butt plug that I could wear under clothes while going about my day, with enough length to be satisfying and without a huge circumference so it was easier and more comfortable to insert.

That plug has 4 inches insertable length. When I saw this Lovehoney Silicone G-Spot Suction Cup Dildo I thought ooooooh… 7 inches. Flat base. Angled tip but not painfully so. Under £20. Silicone.
And just like that it was in my basket and checked out!

During Use

As silicone can be draggy on intimate skin despite feeling velvety smooth in the hand, and especially as I intended to use this dildo for anal pleasure, I used plenty of water based lubricant with it. I had my Lovehoney Delight Extra Silky Water Based Lube to hand, so that’s what I used. I generally prefer water based lubes anyway, but if you’re sure a sex toy is silicone then it’s safe to use silicone lubes with it. Just like it’s safe to stack silicone baking sheets directly on top of each other in your kitchen cupboard.

The comparatively slender shaft, nicely rounded tip and the application of lube made insertion easy and comfortable. As the base doubles as a suction cup it was great to utilise this feature to aid insertion further, by either the loo lid or side of the bath or similar. Just make sure you’re completely in control of the angle and depth of penetration at all times, with feet flat on the floor, and something nearby to grab on to, so you don’t slip and have a nasty surprise!

Just a note that if you purchase this dildo for the suction cup feature, it’s not the strongest suction cup in the world. It isn’t very recessed (if at all, there’s just a slight concave), so the suction isn’t long-lasting or able to withstand vigorous action against it.

Feeling the longer length of this dildo entering my private place and being able to envelop it without the usual pain of the flare of butt plugs, I knew I’d made an excellent choice. Sliding the Lovehoney Silicone G-Spot Suction Cup Dildo inside me to the hilt was an absolute dream – although I had to be exceptionally careful about the speed of penetration as this is much longer than your average anal toy.

Trying to shift in order to mimic the thrusts during anal sex made me realise just how much longer than anal plugs this dildo is. It’s really on the very cusp of just too much for me to handle, especially with the added movement. Sitting still with it filling my core was enough stimulation to quickly tip me over into a powerful climax when I added the blissful stimulation from a clitoral vibrator. I love to use bullet vibrators or wand vibrators for a fast and easy route to orgasm every time.

Summary

Admittedly, I bought the Lovehoney Silicone G-Spot Suction Cup Dildo for anal use, as I’ve mentioned, rather than the traditional vaginal use intended for such a toy. It really hit my spot however! The flat base means I can sit in it (albeit extremely carefully, as it’s just about the maximum length I can take anally!) and the suction cup makes insertion easier as well as offering versatility.

For those looking for a classic piece to add to their sex toy collection, this dildo is a sound purchase. It’s under £20, made from non-porous, non-toxic silicone, has an angled tip for traditional G-spot stimulation, the suction cup base which also makes it compatible with O-ring strap-on sex harnesses. It can be enjoyed by people of all genders, of all sexualities and in all relationship types – it’s an all-round winner!
