Packaging
Let’s start at the beginning.
The Hot Octopuss Kurve G-Spot Vibrator arrives in discreet outer packaging for the postie and is well packed to protect it through dispatch and arrival at your door. The Kurve’s glossy, modern, eye-catching box is beautifully designed and is recognisable as from the Hot Octopuss sex toys collection.
On the box you’ll find an image of the Kurve, a diagram of the toy showing its various parts, and a description of the toy, its benefits and the specific pleasure technology contained within.
What’s In The Box
The Kurve’s box is sealed for hygiene reassurance, which is always a welcome touch. Opening the box reveals a moulded black cradle, inside of which the Kurve vibrator is nestled securely.
Along with the Hot Octopuss Kurve G-Spot Vibrator there is a black, satin drawstring storage bag bearing the Hot Octopuss logo, a USB charging lead and two instruction/information leaflets.

Measurements
By my measurements, the Hot Octopuss Kurve G-Spot Vibrator is 8 inches in overall length, with a maximum circumference (around the bulbous tip) of 4.5 inches. The circumference around the slenderest part of the shaft is 3.6 inches.
First Impressions
The Kurve vibrator felt like a top-quality sex toy from the moment I plucked it from its black moulded box cradle. The shaft is covered with smooth, seamless plum purple silicone, while the bulbous tip is gel-filled for a tactile, squishy sensation that makes you want to keep squishing it for the sheer joy of it.
Towards the bottom of the vibrator, what I’d call the handle, there is a shimmering purple plastic area which is ombre-hued and has various angled sections that catch the light attractively. This area has the treble and bass operation buttons, labelled as to which side is which, and there is an embossed Hot Octopuss crown logo beneath.
On the reverse of the handle is the charging port, with an LED above that lights up during the charging process. The side of the silicone-coated shaft has the Hot Octopuss logo embossed upon it, also in silicone, matching the plum purple of the rest of this insertable part.
Overall, the Kurve seemed a distinctly classy and elegant vibrator.
Charging Up
Charging the Hot Octopuss Kurve G-Spot Vibrator is simple due to the inclusion of a USB lead.
The jackpin end of the lead is pushed through the small hole for it on the back of the handle part of the toy. The other end goes into any USB port you fancy. I like to use the ones on the front of my PC while I’m in the office, or my multi USB to mains adaptor plug while in the bedroom. These are SO handy and can be picked up easily from online stores (click to browse a selection: UK / USA).
While charging, an LED above the charging port glows red -this changes to emit a steady green glow once the Kurve is fully charged. A full charge provides a maximum of 2 hours play time.
Operation
The Hot Octopuss Kurve G-Spot Vibrator boasts the Treble and Bass Technology from the HO team which my partner and I had the pleasure of experiencing previously, with the Hot Octopuss JETT. Kurve offers 5 vibration modes, with the treble and bass settings through the dual motors of the vibrator providing unlimited customisation. The vibe is also fully waterproof.
There are two motors inside the Kurve vibrator. The treble vibrations motor is located just beneath the squishy, gel-filled tip, while the bass vibrations motor is lower down the body of the toy, just above the controls area. These motors can be operated independently thanks to the separate, labelled controls on the handle. You can have just the treble, just the bass, or both of them – with differing intensities or pattern in either.
To turn on the vibrations, you don’t press the bottom, circular buttons as I first thought. Instead, you press and hold the + button for a couple of seconds. Use the + and – to then raise or lower the vibration intensity. The circular button below each side is to scroll through the vibration modes. These buttons are convex for the treble motor and concave for the bass motor, to try and help you ascertain which is which by feel alone, during use.

During Use
I was really looking forward to trying out such a technologically advanced sex toy. To make my playtime more comfortable as well as pleasurable, I applied a slick of water-based lube to the Hot Octopuss Kurve G-Spot Vibrator first. Silicone can be a little draggy on skin otherwise, unless of course you have plenty of natural lubrication available from the get-go.
The soft gel tip at the bulbous, rounded end of the vibrator felt smooth upon entry and I appreciated the cushioning once the toy was nestled fully and snugly in position. Because of the curve of the vibrator’s shaft, this squishy tip was comfortably pressed against my G-spot.
Switching the Kurve on was easy thanks to the sizeable, easy to locate buttons, and I found it easy to tell the +, – and circular buttons through feel while the vibrator was inside me. Remembering which side was for treble and which was for the bass motor was another matter. The circular buttons are slightly different, as mentioned above, but I wasn’t thinking properly with this deliciously fulfilling, curved for G-spot pleasure vibrator deep within me. I thoroughly enjoyed experimenting with the two motors, both separately and together.
As I can’t orgasm through vaginal penetration alone (usually), it wasn’t a surprise when a climax wasn’t forthcoming just from using the Kurve inside me, as beautiful, techy and comfortable as it was. I still enjoy the self-pleasure session using the Kurve alone, in a stimulating, libido-rousing way –but if I want to end with an orgasm, I need to add a clitoral vibrator.
I really wish I could orgasm through vaginal penetration alone, and/or targeted G-spot stimulation, but that’s just not how my body works.
The orgasms I’ve enjoyed using the Kurve vibrator, in combination with a small bullet vibrator to my clit, have been thoroughly satisfying. That said, I wondered whether the Kurve vibrator, with the combination of modern sex toy motors and squishy tip, would be powerful enough to bring me to a clitoral orgasm. Obviously this meant using a toy designed for internal stim on the outside of my body –not what it was designed for, and I already have many other sex toys which are brilliant at giving me clitoral orgasms. It worked, though! The Kurve was powerful enough, even through that gel-filled tip, to give me a clit orgasm with the treble motor set to the highest constant vibrating speed.
Summary
For G-spotting fans, the Hot Octopuss Kurve G-Spot Vibrator is likely to be a sex toy dream come true. If you’re new to G-spotting, this is a fantastic, technologically advanced place to start. Even if you’re just after a vaginal vibrator with numerous extra ‘bells and whistles’ than your standard vibe, the Kurve will fit the bill.
Overlooking the fact, for the moment, that I don’t orgasm using this sex toy by itself –it’s still a vibrator that I’ll use time and again during self-pleasure sessions and during intimate fun shared with my partner. Why? Because it’s funky, modern, sophisticated… and all of these things add up to a much more exciting experience than grabbing that battery-operated, solo motor, dull-buzz rubber phallus collecting dust under the bed.
