I was sent the BS Atelier Capsula Silicone Butt Plug free of charge in exchange for a fair and honest review.

The external packaging from the sex toy shop was discreet and professional, while the product inside was wrapped in beautiful paper with a gift tag for a personal touch.

The BS Atelier Capsula Silicone Butt Plug comes contained within the BS Atelier thick transparent polythene bag, branded with their logo and details and sealed at the top. Below the seal is a press-close area, meaning you can use this as the storage bag for the toy. Very convenient especially as the product is made of silicone and therefore should not be stored next to other silicone items.

This butt plug has been entitled Capsula by the BS Atelier company, who are Spanish. In my opinion the company name is a little odd and can’t help but think of the usual meaning of ‘BS’ in colloquial English! The English translations on the website and on the packaging materials are not the best either, but then you’re not buying the products for their literary eloquence, I guess.

The BS Atelier Capsula Silicone Butt Plug can be found by other names on the web, such as the Capsule or Tablet Butt Plug. It’s like the suppository that you can enjoy again and again.

Getting down to product facts: this anal toy is made from 100% silicone, which is free from phthalates and latex as well as being non-porous. Seeing as I had a lighter handy, I flame tested the base and I just got a minimal residue of white ash, with no harm to the silicone at all.

The total length of the BS Atelier Capsula Silicone Butt Plug is 4 inches, while the insertable part measures just under 3 inches in length. It is great for beginners to anal toys and the circumference stays the same down the insertable length, at 3.6 inches.

The tablet part of the butt plug leads to a slender but resilient stem, finished with a round, flared, flat base. This keeps the plug from disappearing up inside you. The base also acts as a suction cup, meaning you can attach the plug to a smooth or tiled surface, say the bottom of a bath, the shower wall or a kitchen side (hey I’m not here to judge; lock the doors and get the Flash spray ready).

While the suction cup will hold the BS Atelier Capsula Silicone Butt Plug in place quite nicely, it’s not the strongest as it hasn’t been designed to be used officially in this way. The plug is quite small in size too, so I prefer to just use it in the usual way, or with other toys/during sex.

Being made of silicone, the BS Atelier Capsula Silicone Butt Plug is compatible with water based lubricants only and it’s a good idea to add a splash to both the plug and to yourself before using. The tip of the plug is not tapered and pointed like other butt plugs, meaning you need to be inserting it quite firmly in order to get it inside. You don’t need any unpleasant friction along the way.

A thick anal lubricant would be my strong recommendation, as these are thicker and is less likely to dribble off the butt plug before you even get it near your entrance.

I’m not a beginner to anal toys and once the BS Atelier Capsula Silicone Butt Plug was inside I did find that it is smaller than some of my other products. It is still pleasurable though, but not enough to really do anything beyond start off a few blossoming tingles of arousal on its own.

Used in conjunction with a dual stimulation toy, one of my bullet vibrators or a vaginal vibrator however, the BS Atelier Capsula Silicone Butt Plug does add a lovely feeling of being filled there too, helping to tip you over the edge into orgasm. I also found that I could use this butt plug during sex, although it was easier for me to insert it myself rather than my partner doing it for me.

BS state that this Capsula Silicone Butt Plug can be used as a vaginal toy (dildo) too, however I have much better products to use in that regard. I orgasm from the clitoral stimulation received in conjunction with other pleasurable happenings, so I choose to use this for its main purpose as a butt plug.

The BS Atelier Capsula Silicone Butt Plug is silicone and non porous and therefore you can sterilise it completely, by boiling or putting in the dishwasher. It needs a thorough clean after use, as immediately as you can so that any unpleasant scents to not remain in the material. I like using it in the shower and then giving it a hot scrub down afterwards, before using an anti-bacterial sex toy cleaner once I’m out.

The only problem I have found with the material is that it picks up fluff and anything in contact with it. You can see this from my picture, where I had simply dried the Capsula Butt Plug with a clean towel.

I’ve decided to keep this toy in the bathroom where it can be quickly rinsed of any dust and lint, I have been using it quite regularly and therefore storing it in the BS is Nice bag between uses will only happen when I rotate my shower toys. I’m quite lucky in that I can keep the corner of my shower replenished with glass dildos, waterproof butt plugs and the like!

The BS Atelier Capsula Silicone Butt Plug is a great butt plug for both beginners to anal toys and those looking for something a little different to add to their collection.
