You can imagine how excited I was when I received this gorgeous Swarovski Crystal Liona Black Filigree Masquerade Mask to review. And I was not disappointed.

Let’s get started. This Swarovski Crystal Liona Black Filigree Masquerade Mask is made of metal, but it feels very light once worn. It is very well made and seems quite resistant. I have tried to bend it slightly but it kept its shape and did not show any signs of breaking. It does not mean you can sit on it and expect it to stay intact, but it will not fall apart the first time you use it. It also did not obstruct my vision, and it did not feel uncomfortable. I felt a bit of pressure on the bridge of my nose, but it was not too much of a distraction. The mask feels like it could fit any type of face. Some of the edges are a bit pointy. I do not think this might be too much of an issue, but you are never too careful.
The design of the burlesque style mask is intricate, fierce and feminine. The black outlines are really flattering and make your eyes pop. I usually wear thick eyeliner, and the mask really complimented my make-up.  I am usually quite partial to diamante, but it is a nice touch. It just gives the mask enough sparkle without looking like one of those tacky “bling” mobile phone cases. It made me feel like Sarah at the masquerade ball in Labyrinth. All that was missing was the beautiful gown. And David Bowie. Sigh.
If you are looking that will you make feel elegant and mysterious, I definitely recommend this mask. It is gorgeous, comfortable and very well-made. A must-have for your “Eyes Wide Shut” parties! It is definitely one of my favourite items!
