I was especially eager to try Sliquid Ride Bodyworx Silk Hybrid Lube as a political response to a certain UFC fighter’s comments on whether or not people should need lube in their lives. After the shock of her foolish advice settled down a bit, I was keen to get to work, as this is the first hybrid lube I’ve ever tried.

While primarily water-based, this sexual lubricant also contains 12% silicone to try and capture the best of your slippery worlds. The common complaint of water-based lubes is that they can dry out before you’re done. And the issue with silicone is that while it certainly lasts, it can be a bit annoying to have to deal with the clean up afterwards. Personally, I’m on the fence and will go with either (and just top up when necessary) or wipe up when done. But the thought of combining the best aspects of both in one lube seemed intriguing.
And I did enjoy the Sliquid Ride Bodyworx Silk Hybrid Lube. It comes from Sliquid which is my favourite lube maker. They’ve never steered me wrong. But, I’m not sure I’ll keep this on on the nightstand. Curiously, despite the addition of some silicone, I found the lube dried out faster than any other lube I’ve tried. Fortunately, not in the sticky, tacky, pasty way some lubes do, but actually in a nice pleasant feeling that left my skin feeling really good. So, the main purpose of the lube wasn’t greatly fulfilled, it did still feel good!
The one thing I have to mention about this lube is that I could not find information on with the amount of silicone added makes this lube unusable with silicone toys. Take this as a caveat on whether you want to take that chance with your dildos and vibrators.
in conclusion, this lubricant is not my favourite, but I wouldn’t say no either.
