I am a bit of a self-confessed texture Queen. So the moment that I saw the Loving Joy Precious Metals Ribbed Gold Anal Plug in the October listing for the Pleasure Panel it immediately piqued my interest. It just looks amazing with all of those ridges and its shiny gold colouration.
I was delighted when Cara agreed to send it to me for a thorough review for Loving Joy.
This Precious Metals Ribbed Gold Anal Plug arrives in a nice black drawstring bag for storage. I wish more sex toys came with bags. I find them so useful when it comes to storage as usually, packaging boxes are just too bulky.
Before I opened the bag, I was pleasantly surprised at how light the Loving Joy Precious Metals Ribbed Gold Anal Plug is given its size. It weighs in at 135g and that feels nice in your hands and even better somewhere else.
When you fit it you will find that the Loving Joy Precious Metals Ribbed Gold Anal Plug isn’t one of those plugs that tries to work its way out again even though it’s heavier than a silicone butt plug.
I love the look of it. The five ridges around its periphery give it lots of texture. The jewel in the base really does make it a butt plug fit for any texture Queen. You get a great butt plug for the price of £26.95 which is a bargain.
These ridges are the best thing by far about the Loving Joy Precious Metals Ribbed Gold Anal Plug. They get progressively wider as you take more of the plug. The best bit of inserting a butt plug for me is that feeling you get when it ‘pops’ inside. With this plug, you get lots of mini ‘pops’ as you slide it in and also as you withdraw it again.
The ridges make it harder to insert though if I am honest. Each one presents a fairly flat surface for you to overcome instead of the usual taper associated with most plugs. This means that you need to warm up first and use plenty of lube.
On the subject of lube, you can use any type that suits you with this Loving Joy Precious Metals Ribbed Gold Anal Plug. I recommend a good quality water based lube though, but you can opt for a nice long-lasting silicone lube if you prefer.
Once warmed up I found it a lot of fun to insert as the ridges feel so good. I love the way that each one gives you that nice sensation and when the last one goes in it feel great. Removing it can be just as much fun – think anal beads. Each ridge gives you the same sensation on the way out again.
The base of the Loving Joy Precious Metals Ribbed Gold Anal Plug is nice and wide, so you needn’t worry about it being drawn into you as you orgasm. It’s adorned with a very nice jewel that gives it a nice look once fitted.
This is quite a wide butt plug, measuring in at 1.57″/4cm around the widest ridge and its total length is 3.5″/9cm. It’s constructed from an aluminium allow and that makes it non-porous and body safe. I love metal, glass, ceramic and silicone sex toys for this reason.
When it is fitted, depending on my position it provides different sensations. On my hands and knees, it presses against my g-spot and feels incredible. On my back, it provides firm pressure towards the back of my pelvis.
When having sex with it fitted my partner commented on how nice it felt. The anal plug tightened me up for him and he could also feel and enjoy the ridges as he thrust in and out. Most butt plugs just give you the feeling of fullness and tightness so this one is a bonus if you are using it with a partner.
Post-use, cleaning is easy. It does have a tendency to get a bit messy around the ridges if you haven’t used a douche but it’s very easy to clean. Simply wash in it warm soapy water and then clean with an anti-bacterial sex toy cleaner. Pay particular attention to the areas where the jewel meets the base to ensure that no gunk gets left there. Once dry then you can store it away inside its drawstring storage pouch again until next time.
One last point before I summarise my experiences with the Precious Metals Ribbed Gold Anal Plug. As it is metal, it feels nice and cool when you insert it and warm when you remove it. It is ideal for some temperature play. Try cooling it in a bowl of chilly water before use, or warming it in some warm water for some delicious temperature sensations. Temperature play can change the whole feeling of this plug.
I like the Precious Metals Ribbed Gold Anal Plug basically because of its texture. the jewel is nice, but I already have three jewelled butt plugs and the market is full of them these days. It is the textured from the ridges that set this butt plug apart from its competitions. Its build quality is very good, and I love the fact that it comes with a drawstring bag. So, all in all, it’s a big thumbs up from me.
