During Use
There’s no doubt about it, the Lovense Lush 4 is a brilliantly designed piece of pleasure technology. I was excited to get started, and it didn’t take long at all thanks to its fast-charging feature. Just 50 minutes for a full charge – or if you can’t wait, get up to an hour’s playtime from just 5 minutes charging!
Lush 4 is a definite step up from the Lush 3 (my review here). See my comparisons further down this review, but suffice to say, in my opinion Lush 4 is so much better. More powerful, more comfortable, quieter and more effective during use.
Insertion & Power
Washing the toy thoroughly (made possible because it’s IPX7 waterproof), then splashing on a little water-based lube, I was finally ready to experience the wonder of the Lush 4. Sliding the large egg shape inside my vagina was easy and comfortable. The tail section curls around comfortably, with the slender but strong silicone C-curve shaped to my body and the button on the end sitting around my clitoris area. I pressed the button to put it into standby, then delighted in exploring the settings available just via the button on the toy at this stage.
Oh my. It’s powerful. The deep rumble and high speed of the vibrations, especially on the highest constant setting, were a joy to experience deep inside. Due to the clever shape of the insertable part, my G-spot benefitted from the vibrations delivered straight through the bulge in the ‘egg’ and it was incredibly arousing.
Operation via the App
Ok, so far so good. How about trying the Lovense Remote App for some hands-free fun?

In summary, it’s easy to download, the Lush 4 pretty much instantly connected via Bluetooth once I pressed the button in the app, and I found the controls easy to use once it was all connected. A quick play with the various features and I found my favourites for solo play; the traditional slider and the loop function. Loop allows me to create a vibration pattern of my own, then once I lift my finger it simply loops this pattern until I’m done.
There are loads of other features in the app too, such as syncing to music, connecting over long-distance, playlists, etc.
After using the Lovense Lush 4 several times and it delivering a delightful erotic experience every time, I am happy to report that I strongly recommend this product. It is well-made, brilliantly designed, a technological marvel and has pretty much limitless stimulation settings thanks to the app. On the lower vibration frequencies I’d be happy to use it in public, especially somewhere busy like a shopping centre, or walking through a busy town or in a packed café especially if there’s music playing. On the higher vibration settings I would feel a little worried someone would hear the toy, even when it’s deep inside me, if I were in a more muted location like a library or a quiet restaurant.
Internal Stim Only
My only gripe, and this is very much a personal thing, is that I can’t bring myself to orgasm using the Lush 4 on its own. I require clitoral stimulation in most cases in order to reach climax, and the tail end of the toy which sits outside the body doesn’t benefit from the vibrations felt deep inside. Therefore, although this is a fantastic vaginal and G-spot toy in my opinion, I couldn’t orgasm using just this vibrator, which is a shame. Having a look through the available products at the Lovense store, I see the Ferri wearable clitoral stimulator is available. I would love to combine this with the Lush 4 as I feel sure that this would be the perfect setup for my unique physiology and orgasmic needs.

Packaging & Unboxing
My Lovense Lush 4 arrived in a plain and discreet box for the outer post. Inside the box, I spotted the bright pink of the Lush 4 box through the internal packaging materials immediately. Such a happy and positive vibe!
Before I could open the box and retrieve my exciting new sex toy, I took off the shrink-wrap plastic from the Lush 4 box. Then it was simply a case of sliding out the inner sleeve, where my Lush 4 sat nestled into the moulded insert. Underneath, I found the instruction manual and the magnetic-to-USB charging lead.
Size & Measurements
The Lovense Lush 4 is sizeable in the vagina but small in the hand. It’s lightweight too, at just 75g.
By my measurements, the toy measures approximately 4 inches across, from the curve of the C to the tip of the internal and tail arms. Maximum girth of the internally worn arm is a generous 4.5 inches, while the circumference of the externally worn tail is 2.5 inches around its widest part.
How To Charge Up
Charging up the Lush 4 is easy with the included magnetic-to-USB charging lead. Attach the end with the magnetic nodes to the corresponding areas on the inside of the toy’s tail, then plug the other end into any USB port. I like to use the USB port on the side of my laptop in my home office, or the multi-USB to mains plug at the side of my bed. These are extremely useful and I strongly recommend everyone has at least one. You can buy them cheaply from Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk.
While charging, the LED in the tail area lights up. It takes about 50 minutes to charge from zero, which provides a maximum of 350 minutes playtime. Lush 4 has a rapid charge feature; just 5 minutes charging will provide up to an hour’s playtime. Also, the battery standby life of a full charge is 120 hours.
Top tip: I’d advise additionally labelling the charging lead in some way immediately upon unpackaging the product. This means you can easily identify your Lush 4 lead when it gets tossed into your drawer or box of charging leads.
I use my trusty DYMO labeller which is available from Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk for all my sex toy charging leads – and it has plenty of other uses around the house, too.

Lush 4 Power Button
There is a button on the end of Lush 4’s tail which is used to switch the toy on and off, as well as to cycle through the settings available if you are using it without the Lovense Remote app. Press and hold the button, the toy will briefly buzz and this means it’s in standby mode. From here you can Bluetooth connect to the remote app, or keep pressing the button to discover the settings available via the button only.
Using this button, you will discover 3 intensities of constant vibration (low, medium, high), and 4 patterns/pulses.
The Lovense Remote App
There is a QR code on the front of the Lovense Lush 4 instruction manual, which links to the official website guide area. You can also click to download the Lovense Remote App through this page, from either the App Store or Google Play. I have an Android phone and downloaded the app without any issues.
Connecting to the Lovense Lush 4 is quick and easy. When you see the ‘Your toy is not currently connected’ notification, simply press and hold the button on the Lush 4 until it briefly buzzes and the standby light turns on. The app immediately detected ‘Lush,’ and with one click, it connected seamlessly – no lag or issues. The app also displays the toy’s battery level, which is a really handy feature.
A fun extra? You can even change the LED colour on the toy for a personalised touch. Or, turn off the LED entirely during use for extra discretion while enjoying exciting public play.
The app offers plenty of control options: use the traditional slider, create and loop your own vibration patterns, build a playlist of settings, sync to music, or connect for long-distance play. There’s a huge range of ways to customise your experience.
