I’m very excited to share my thoughts on the Lovense Lush 3 App-Controlled Vibrating Love Egg with Cara Sutra readers in this review, as despite some community Lovense reviews here on the blog, I haven’t ever tried a Lovense sex toy myself before. I know… shocking, right?! Lovense are famous for making high-tech, Bluetooth enabled/app-controlled sex toys which offer intensely erotic long distance (and even public, if you dare) intimate play options.

Packaging
The Lovense Lush 3 arrived in Lovehoney’s usual discreet & sturdy outer wrap for the post, while the toy itself is presented in a cleanly designed box. There’s information about the toy and the related Android/Apple app on the back, while the bottom provides the company details.
What’s In The Box
Inside the box you find the Lovense Lush 3 in a moulded insert, underneath which is a storage pouch, USB/magnetic charging lead and a coupe of small instruction leaflets (full & quick-start).

Charging Up
Charging up the Lovense Lush 3 is nice and easy; use the included lead in any USB port. The other end has magnetic areas which attach to the corresponding metal dots on the vibrator.
I like to use the USB ports on my laptop while in the office, or my multi-USB to mains adaptor plug while in the bedroom. These are SO handy and can be picked up easily from online stores (click to browse a selection: UK / USA).
Operation & Settings
There is just one button on the Lovense Lush 3, and it’s on the end of the non-insertable arm. You press and hold the button to turn it on. You’ll feel a short buzz from the vibrator and a red LED flashes to show that the Lush 3 is active and ready to use/pair with Bluetooth.
You can operate the Lovense Lush 3 by using just the button on the toy, but obviously it’s quite fiddly doing it this way! Press the button repeatedly to discover the 7 functions available with this vibrator. There are constant vibration settings/speeds as well as various patterns to enjoy.
The much easier and therefore my preferred way of operating the Lush 3 is via the app.
App-Control
Yes, the Lovense Lush 3 is controllable by an app, which is one of if not the main draw of the vibrator. Download the Lovense Remote app free of charge from the Apple store or Google Play (tip: check you have the right app by comparing the icon to that on the back of the box).
You can pair your Lush 3 with your mobile device once you’ve activated the toy and it’s in pairing mode, as explained above. Follow the instructions on the app and you should be able to pair your new toy without any problems.

As you can see, there are loads of features available in the Lovense Remote app which you wouldn’t be able to enjoy through the button on the toy alone. It’s also so much easier and more comfortable to control the Lush 3 with the app, so it’s strongly recommended.
During Use
Insertion & Operation
The Lovense Lush 3 App-Controlled Vibrating Love Egg is made with superb quality silicone, so with a splash of water-based lubricant it was easy and comfortable to insert. Before popping it inside, remember to press and hold the button so it’s in pairing mode.
As mentioned above, the Lovense app makes operation of the Lush 3 extremely easy, which adds to the pleasure of the whole experience. Starting a self-love session battling Bluetooth connectivity or a complex app isn’t the best! Therefore, I was delighted to find the Lovense app both easy to figure & operate, and the toy connected to the app via Bluetooth without any issues.
Positioning
At first, I tried the Lovense Lush 3 with the ‘tail’ curved around at the front of my vulva, so the end pointed up towards my tummy. I was hoping that I’d feel some vibrating stimulation through this area over my clitoris, but in reality the tail/stem settled too far to the side rather than staying over my clit, even inside my underwear. There wasn’t much vibration to be felt through this area anyway, it’s concentrated within the internally worn, egg-shaped part of the toy which holds the motor.
I actually found that twisting the Lush 3 inside so the external tail part faced back and nestled over my perineum/pointed up towards the crack of my arse was much comfier. Especially when wearing/using the Lush 3 while sitting down, as I enjoyed doing on several occasions. What a way to spice up working from home…
Using The App
Being able to control the vibrations on the app was fantastic – no messing about down my knickers trying to find buttons and switch on/off. The toy remained connected throughout all my sessions with the Lovense Lush 3 App-Controlled Vibrating Love Egg and I enjoyed experimenting with the various features – standard vibrations, different patterns and making my own pattern etc.
As usual, my favourite vibrating function is the constant vibe – I find patterns so teasing that they cross into ‘annoying’ territory for me, which isn’t arousing at all. As I’ve written about previously here on the blog, I don’t tend to orgasm from vaginal penetration, and sadly that was the case with the Lush 3. Without any clitoral stimulation from this sex toy, I can’t orgasm using only this toy, in the way intended – internal vaginal stimulation.
Using The Lush 3 In Public
That said, it’s surprisingly quiet for such a powerfully vibrating, multi-function, app-controlled vaginal love egg, so I can see why it’s one of the (if not the) most popular toys to use for kinky fun in public. You can hand over control to a partner if you dare, or just enjoy wearing a sex toy that you can discreetly switch on whenever and wherever you choose.
I’d probably save switching on the vibes for an outdoor space like a park, or a noisy café, rather than a silent train carriage or hushed library, personally. Although it’s quiet, it’s not absolutely silent, so you’d have to judge the environment and how daring you feel at the time!
I haven’t summoned the courage to use the Lush 3 in public yet – perhaps one day…
How It Feels
The Lovense Lush 3 feels delicious and delightful during use. Despite not being able to orgasm using just the Lush 3 alone, it’s still an extremely fun toy to use when spicing up my daily tasks and chores, or if we want to kink up couple’s play by handing him control of the app/toy during the day or in foreplay.
This is a great quality toy with several outstanding features. I love the app, the toy is made with quality, body-safe material, it’s fully waterproof, comfortable during use and the vibrations range from as gentle as you need, to very powerful for a vaginal love egg.
There’s also scope to take your vaginal vibe thrills outdoors, if you are braver than I am. The Lovense toys like the Lush 3 are extremely popular with cam girls and on public play porn clips, and it’s easy to see why. Easy and effective to use (if you get off from vaginal stim) and simple operation with immediate ‘off’ when required, for extremely kinky public play.
Summary
Although I don’t orgasm using the Lovense Lush 3 by itself, I can still appreciate what a fantastic sex toy this is. For those who do climax from vaginal stimulation, I think this toy will be just what you’re looking for to take masturbation (solo or partnered, private or public) to the next level.
It has a high price tag but you’re paying for the tech involved in the app control, as well as the many available and customisable features. This is a top spec, thoughtfully designed vaginal vibrator which will bring endless delight to vaginal vibe fans.
Unfortunately, as I don’t orgasm from just vaginal stimulation, I’m unable to give the Lush 3 full marks. This has been a difficult review to write, because it’s my body and the way it works which has meant the Lush 3 was unsuccessful in making me orgasm – it wasn’t due to any fault or flaw of the vibrator. Therefore I have reluctantly awarded it a rather deceiving 7/10, but with the knowledge this will be a gamechanger stimulation device in someone else’s toybox.
