Packaging

All Lovehoney sex toys are packed securely for dispatch and transit, in extremely discreet outer packaging. The Lovehoney Ignite Bullet Vibrator is held in a clear plastic moulded insert, inside a glossy, colourful outer card box with a clear and professional design. The box has an image of the vibrator contained within, as well as detailing the main features of the product.

This box has a magnetic clasp which means you can open the front of the box to view the bullet held inside, without actually opening the box itself, yet. To retrieve the toy and other contents, I had to break the hygiene reassurance seal at the top and cut the box open.

Inside The Box

Inside, I found the pink Ignite bullet vibe, the USB charging lead, an information/instruction flyer and a storage bag.

Measurements

The Lovehoney Ignite Bullet Vibrator is understandably quite dinky, as it’s a bullet vibe for precise vibrating pleasure wherever you (or they) want it. This mini vibe measures (by my measurements) 3.5 inches in length and has a circumference of 2.9 inches.

Charging Up

To charge up the Ignite bullet vibe, just use the included USB charging lead. The jackpin end is pushes into the small dimple beneath where it has the Lovehoney heart and then D.C. embossed into the silicone. The other end plugs into any USB port. I like to use the ones on my PC while I’m in the office, or the multi USB to mains plug (available separately: USA / UK) I keep by the bed.

While charging, an LED behind the power/operation button on the base flashes. When the bullet vibrator is fully charged (takes about 60 minutes from no power), it emits a steady glow. A full charge is stated to provide up to 100 minutes of playtime.

Operation

To turn the Lovehoney Ignite Bullet Vibrator on, click the power button on the base of the toy (instructions say ‘press and hold’ but I found it to be more of a quick click). You can then press it repeatedly to scroll through and discover the other vibrating settings. There are three constant speeds (my favourite) plus 17 different patterns to explore. To switch off, just press and hold the button again.

This cleverly designed mini vibrator even has a travel lock, so you don’t have to worry about it accidentally getting switched on while it’s in your pocket or travel bag. To activate the lock, double click the power button while the vibrator is off. The vibe will buzz twice to let you know the lock has been activated. Double click again when you want to unlock. Plugging the Ignite bullet into a USB port will also deactivate the travel lock.

During Use

The Lovehoney Ignite sex toy range has been designed with vibrator beginners in mind, so I wasn’t expecting jackhammer style vibrations when playtime rolled around. That said, I still obviously wanted it to be orgasmically effective for me, despite being a vibrator veteran.

I certainly can orgasm with the Ignite bullet vibe, albeit on the top speed of constant vibration only. The vibrations are not deep, thuddy and rumbly, they’re mid to high in pitch without turning into a shrill, angry wasp style buzz. Using the vibrator with a dot of my favourite lubricant both made my play session more comfortable and seemed to help the vibrations travel over and through my skin. I use bullet vibrators for clitoral stimulation and orgasms, mainly – but obviously you could use this little bullet vibe wherever you wished.

For me, the Lovehoney Ignite Bullet Vibrator is not quite powerful enough to make it into my ‘quick grab’ collection of vibrators, which I can rely on to give me an orgasm in a mind-blowingly fast time. Although it can bring me to orgasm, I have to work a little harder to get there with this one. My personal preference is for the jackhammer style vibrations I mentioned earlier, and this is a beginner-friendly vibe after all.

It’s easy to charge, easy to use, gets the job done (fast or eventually, depending on your personal intimate sensitivity levels) and has a staggering array of bonus features considering the price. Like I say, not made it into my top 5 favourites but it’s definitely staying as a back-up toy in my personal collection of orgasmic pleasure tools.
