My review of the LELO Lily 2 Vibrator (Lavender and Manuka Honey Scented): These scented sex toys seemed to come out of nowhere. One minute, LELO were launching the brand new prostate massagers for men, LOKI, HUGO and BRUNO, then I was contacted and asked if I’d like to review the new LELO Lily 2. With added scent. I’ve never had a sex toy or vibrator which boasts a lovely fragrance as one of its features before, so of course I said yes.

How does the LELO Lily 2 Vibrator differ from the original LELO Lily vibrator?

• I actually like this one. The original only scored 5/10 in my review. (Read my original LELO Lily Vibrator review). It wasn’t powerful enough to make me orgasm. LELO Lily 2 gets me there no problem.
• LELO Lily 2 is slightly bigger than the original, at 3 inches in length and with a maximum width of 1.5 inches.
• The new version is 100% waterproof whereas the original Lily wasn’t.
• There are now 8 stimulation modes with LELO Lily 2; the original Lily vibrator only had a choice of vibration intensity, up and down.
• The new version, the LELO Lily 2 Vibrator, smells wonderful!

The main difference for me is that the LELO Lily 2 Vibrator is much more powerful. It worked! Glory be. Praise the LELO gods and goddesses. I can reach orgasm with this new version. Thank you, LELO!

As well as reaching orgasm with LELO Lily 2 Vibrator I can choose to take it with me in the bath or shower if I want as happily it’s waterproof. It makes cleaning the LELO Lily 2 Vibrator simple and hassle free, too.

Operation

To operate there’s a simple 2 button interface. At first I thought the LELO Lily 2 Vibrator was just going to have a choice of vibration speed, like the original, without any patterns. It was only when playing with the vibrator that I discovered the secondary mode; the LELO Lily 2 Vibrator burst into a pulsing vibration then further presses of what had been the ‘power up’ button revealed other patterns too.

Of course before you can enjoy the LELO Lily 2 Vibrator you need to charge it up. Like the other LELO vibrators the LELO Lily 2 Vibrator is a rechargeable sex toy so no need to worry about stocking up on batteries. Lily 2 arrives with a charging lead, which is USB so you can choose between USB port or USB to mains adaptor (not included but everyone should have one) in order to charge.

Packaging

While we’re on the subject of the package you receive, it should be noted that this vibrator comes in a gorgeous black lidded box which has a window at the front so you can see Lily through the front before opening. This is a nice change to the original boxes, which were white glossy card covered packages, inside which a black lidded box held the sex toy. The new type of packaging can also be seen with LELO LOKI. I like it – although the original packaging was sleek and luxurious too – as now we can see the actual toy we own before opening the box.

This toy comes with a storage pouch, charging lead, warranty card, instruction booklet and a sachet of LELO Personal Moisturiser (water based lube).

The one issue I have with the LELO Lily 2 Vibrator is that the buttons are hard to press, which makes for a bit of frustration during use. In particular, when trying to turn the vibrator off. Maybe it’s that this vibe gives me such intense orgasms that I simply don’t have the energy required to press the ‘down’ button all the way to off. Seriously though, the buttons do let LELO Lily 2 down a little. I have to dig my nail right into the left/down button to turn off after I’m done – good job I’m in such a happy place at the time…

During use, when you want to change to the pattern mode, just press and hold + for a couple of seconds. I found that as I was holding down + to raise the intensity up to max I did flip over into the ‘patterns’ mode by accident quite a few times, unfortunately. It takes a bit of practice to raise the intensity of the constant vibration to max without going over into the other mode.

Settings

Once you are in the ‘patterns’ mode, there are 7 modes to discover and enjoy. The instruction booklet seems pretty universal for all LELO vibrators – I guess this saves on printing and money – so doesn’t specify the patterns. They are:

1. Ascending
2. Slow Oscillation
3. Randomised pulse and pattern
4. 2 tone pulse
5. Medium speed 2 tone pulse
6. Fastest 2 tone pulse
7. Another oscillating pattern

The LELO Lily 2 Vibrator is advertised as having 8 modes, the 8th being the choice of speed you encounter when first switching it on.

Summary

In summary, this is a delicious little vibrator whose power and ability to give me discreet but powerful play sessions outweigh the small frustration I have with the buttons. It’s curved so the vibrations are directed exactly where I want them, and I can gently rest ot over my clit or press as hard as I choose during masturbation and enjoy the power either way. I don’t really use the patterns much as I’m more of a constant vibration on max kinda girl, but these will likely be warmly welcomed by pulse pattern fans. More powerful than the original, waterproof and smells gorgeous too. Love it.

The scent can be smelled very subtly on your fingers after use, and I can only really smell the fragrance on the toy when my nose is right up next to it. It’s definitely not a scent which permeates the air in your room, nor can I smell it from bed when it’s on the bedside table. The fragrance is, for me, a lovely bonus feature but definitely wouldn’t be the main consideration in buying this vibrator. The scents will no doubt draw much attention to this vibrator but it’s the vibration power, the modes and the waterproofness which make Lily 2 a winner for me, not the subtle scent in the silicone. The vibrator is also more rigid than pliable, this helps to direct all the strength of the vibrations where you want it in my opinion, as the tip doesn’t bend away from you no matter how hard you’re pressing against it.
