Lightweight Toucan’s Review

I’ve never used the ID Glide Water-Based Lubricant from the ID Glide Lubes range before, so I went into this test blind.

First Impressions

ID Glide Water Based Lubricant Reviews

When I ripped the blue sachet of water lube open and squeezed some onto my fingers, the aroma made its presence know. It smelled like expensive hand cream, the kind you’d find in an expensive Parisian perfumery. I sniffed it, just to make sure. Lo and behold, its the lube! What a lovely smell for a lube, its delicate yet refined, it made me want to use this immediately, it made me tingly!

Feel & Use

The feel of the lubricant was even better than the smell (just!). This is a water based lube, yet it feels so silky and oily on my fingers, and a small amount just kept giving and giving. Lube is one of my favourite bedroom accessories, and this one made me want to use it badly, in as many ways as possible. (Yes, I love lube that much that a good one turns me on).

Using the ID Glide Water-Based Lubricant was a blast, I used it as many ways and with as many toys as possible. It kept its glide, it refused to turn sticky no matter how long I used a small amount. The only complaint I’d have is cleaning up. The lube made a bit of protest when trying to clean it off myself, (I use condoms on my toys to prolong their life), and I ended up having to have a shower. But I think that’s a good pay off for an excellent day in bed!

Minnie’s ID Glide Water-Based Lubricant Review

Recently I was asked to try out a sample of the ID Glide Water-Based Lubricant for Cara Sutra’s sex blog.

The blurb on their website says:

“Formulated from the highest quality ingredients, ID Glide is a water based lubricant designed to enhance the pleasure and comfort of those most intimate moments. If you want a natural feeling lubricant for use with your partner, with toys or by yourself ID Glide ticks all the boxes.

It provides that extra glide and slide that people need for smooth intercourse and more enjoyable foreplay. It is also a non sticky, non staining sensually slippery lubricant which not only has a beautifully silk smooth feel but is extra long lasting & can be reactivated with a quick lick or spritz of water.”

Having read that I was ready to try it out with my trusty butt plug.

The flip top squeeze bottle was easy to use though I did find the lube rather runny in consistency and it did form globules on the silicone plug rather than forming an even layer.

Undaunted I slid the plug in with customary ease.

Being water based it washed off easily with warm soapy water from my hands and the plug.

I must admit that I do prefer my usual Vaseline based lube for my butt plugs.

The ID Glide range is available from a variety of online sites so it’s easily and discreetly available.

Minxy Mischief’s Review

Thanks to Cara Sutra for sending me over some ID Glide Water-Based Lubricant to test and review.

I have tried a lube or 2 in my time but I don’t think ID Glide has been one of them so was interested in finding out for myself what it was like, I had heard some good things.

The tube of ID Glide Water-Based Lubricant came with a flip top lid but I found it was sealed so knew it hadn’t been tampered with. ID Glide natural feel, original formula is a water based lubricant. It is compatible with latex and polyurethane condoms. Unflavoured, fragrance free and non staining.

I had left the ID Glide Water Based Lube tube out so that my boyfriend and I could try it. I had been busying myself while my boyfriend was in the shower, I went in the room to find him lying down and trying out the ID Glide, I couldn’t help myself and joined in, in the name of testing you understand! It felt nice and slick to use without being sticky. I thought it was a good opportunity to see if it was unflavoured like it claimed. All I could really taste was that clean, just out the shower taste, couldn’t detect any taste from the lube at all. I couldn’t really detect much of a smell from it either.

I thought it was only fair that we try the ID Glide Water-Based Lubricant on me too. I found that the lube was a little on the runny side but I have found that thicker is not always better. After just working the lube into myself for just a few seconds, it almost felt like I wasn’t using any lube at all!

It felt very natural, like it was working with my body and not an added extra. Again I didn’t find it sticky which I really dislike about some lubes. It didn’t dry out while I was using it, I imagine it would dry out eventually but I haven’t reached that point.

I have to admit that the first time I tried the ID Glide Water Based Lube I had totally forgot that it was ‘natural feel’ while I was using it and it wasn’t till afterwards when I was cleaning up I picked up the tube that I noticed that it was in fact natural feel. Well done ID Glide, it’s nice to come across a lubricant that actually does what it claims. Not had any stains on the sheets or anywhere from it.

The ID Glide Water-Based Lubricant is a great all round water based sex lubricant, be it for solo play, with or without sex toys and for couples play. I would be more than happy to have a bottle of ID Glide Water Based Lube on my bedside cabinet to have to hand when it’s needed.

Pros – Natural feel, unflavoured
Cons – Yet to find any
Overall – Good all round lube for all kinds of play
