Hot Octopuss Steel Nipple Pegs Review
Hot Octopuss recently launched a new collection of adult products. Rather than manufacturing different styles of penis masturbator or vaginal & clitoral vibrators, the team have produced an exciting range of BDSM gear. I was lucky enough to be offered some of these bondage toys to review here at the Cara Sutra sex blog. I chose the leather wrist cuffs, the 4-piece pinwheel set, and the item I’m reviewing here today: the Hot Octopuss Steel Nipple Pegs.

Packaging
Outer packaging for the post was discreet and secure as always from Hot Octopuss, while the Hot Octopuss Steel Nipple Pegs themselves came contained in a black, branded, drawstring pouch. Simple but handy – keeping them in the storage bag between uses means I won’t end up losing one or both in the shameful mess of my bedside drawer.
First Impressions
The Hot Octopuss Steel Nipple Pegs are just so sweet! They’re small enough to be classed as cute, while being chunky enough to be easily picked up and used. I love the silvery shine of the steel metal material.
By the way, ‘pegs’ are what we call clothespins here in the UK. Nothing to do with strap-on pegging, which is an entirely different matter…
I was looking forward to giving these steel nipple pegs a go. I’m a big fan of nipple clamps, but have found that most are either too tame or too eye-wateringly painful. Also, I much prefer separate clamps to those which are connected via a chain, so I can have just one or both nipples clamped as I desire. Nipple clamps which could be worn beneath clothing during the day would be ideal.
Would these be my Goldilocks pair?
During Use
Unfortunately, the style of these nipple clamps mean they are not compatible with my nipples. I can’t speak for anyone else, obviously, as everyone’s nipples are different. Maybe my nipples are just extra flat and not pointed enough for this type of clamp. I felt certain, before use, that the Hot Octopuss Steel Nipple Pegs would be fantastic, but was ultimately disappointed when I came to put them on and couldn’t get them to attach to my body.
Although the peg clamps are small in size, the style means they’re fairly chunky. Also, the clamping end of each clamp has two ‘lips’ of diverging steel before the metal actually meets further back in the peg shape. This makes it very difficult if not impossible for me to get a good grip of my nipple with each of the Hot Octopuss Steel Nipple Pegs.
I’ve tried using them sideways as well, rather than ‘dead on’ my nipples, but with minimal success.
Pegs or clothespins are designed primarily for hanging laundry on a line for drying, and it looks like this pair will be the newest and most luxurious addition to my laundry room bag -rather than my BDSM toolkit.
It’s a huge shame but they just don’t work for me!
Summary
I’m very disappointed that the Hot Octopuss Steel Nipple Pegs weren’t a good fit for my body, as I fell in love with the style of them and I love the cute size and silvery steel shine.
