Adrien Lastic Ocean Storm Egg Vibrator Review

By Screw Taboo

The Adrien Lastic Ocean Storm is a rechargeable vibrating love egg. At only 8cm in length and 10cm in circumference, most people will find it a comfortable size to use internally but it also doubles up as clitoral vibrator.

Adrien Lastic Ocean Storm Egg Vibrator Review

I’d been planning to buy a remote control love egg for a while because I love a bit of erotic humiliation. The idea that people might know I’m aroused or guess I’m wearing a love egg makes me embarrassed, and embarrassment and shame are sure fire ways of turning me on. The chance of anyone actually knowing I am using a love egg is low, thankfully. The hum of the Adrien Lastic Ocean Storm isn’t likely to be heard unless you are somewhere totally silent.

I already own a corded love egg and have experimented using that in public, but having my partner stick his hand in the back pocket of my jeans every time he wants to change the setting isn’t that practical and it also removes the element of surprise. With the Adrien Lastic Ocean Storm remote he can easily control the settings…and my arousal, making it perfect for D/s play.

My Adrien Lastic Ocean Storm egg is bright pink with subtle sparkles but it is also available in blue. It’s made of ABS plastic so it’s body safe and easy to clean. I’d usually say ABS is compatible with any lube but the information sheet says not to use silicone based lubes, which seems a little strange.

The first time I tried it out was in the bedroom. My partner inserted it, switched it on, and then used toys on me anally. The addition of the love egg to anal stimulation was knee-quaking and when he occasionally changed the vibration pattern, I felt myself falter. When we used it during anal sex, he said he could feel the vibrations. That gives the egg a huge tick for me because I sometimes feel like I get all the fun with toys.

The Adrien Lastic Ocean Storm’s vibrations are powerful and transmit well but I would say they are fairly buzzy. When I used it as a clitoral vibrator it numbed my hand and clit which prevented me from reaching orgasm. I don’t have much luck with clitoral vibrators because I am very easily numbed though, so others might not have the same issue. One way I found to get around the hand numbing issue was to hold the egg by the plastic cord and let it dance across my vulva and clit. I also found holding it in place with my thighs meant the vibrations were more diffuse and, although not enough to propel me towards the elusive orgasm, it at least meant I wasn’t numb when I moved onto another toy.

The ten vibration patterns include constant vibrations at varying speeds, intermittent vibrations and ascending/descending vibrations. I’m not massively bothered about vibration patterns but I found that when my partner changed the setting, it would surprise me and I’d squirm until I got accustomed to the pattern. In public, squirming makes me super self-conscious which makes me embarrassed which makes me aroused, which makes me embarrassed… You get the picture.

The Adrien Lastic Ocean Storm has a USB charger so you can either charge it through your computer or plug it into a USB wall plug. The full charge time is 90 minutes and you get 40 minutes of use from one charge. Unlike some other vibrators, it didn’t lose strength as it got close to running out of charge, it just stopped. While this is good because you don’t get decreasingly powerful vibrations, it also means you have no warning it is about to turn itself off.

Although the egg is rechargeable, the remote is not so you’ll need a watch battery. The battery shows no sign of running out yet so it doesn’t look like it will need replacing very often, which is lucky because the battery compartment cover is a fucker to open! The remote is small and easy to use. It flashes blue every four seconds when on which makes it a little easier to find in low light or under the bed covers. One issue we had was that the non-wearer had no way of knowing which pattern the egg was currently on. It is a slight annoyance but if it really bugs you it is possible to get a compatible Adrien Lastic remote with an LCD screen that shows the setting.

At the end of play, everything neatly packs away in the satin drawstring bag I am very grateful is provided. I really don’t want to be losing the remote!

Overall Opinion

Adrien Lastic Ocean Storm Egg Vibrator Review

The Adrien Lastic Ocean Storm Egg Vibrator isn’t a toy that will directly give me an orgasm but as a warm up toy or an addition to sex, it can take some credit. I don’t think it offers much as a clitoral vibrator but as an internal vibe, I like it. For me, the thing that makes the Adrien Lastic Ocean Storm Egg Vibrator really stand out is the remote control aspect. I love handing over control to my partner and the public play element. The range is up to 10 metres and the remote even worked through a concrete wall. To a technophobe like me, that’s witchcraft!
