Fifty Shades of Grey Sweet Sensation Sensual Bath Oil

As you can see from my other Fifty Shades of Grey reviews, I have recently been on a bit of a trek through the range. In particular, I am concentrating on the Sensual Care collection. This new offshoot from the main Fifty Shades line combines romance and feminine care to provide products which allow a fluid motion from bedroom to bathroom and vice versa, for men and women – mostly women or couples.

I received a few products from the Sensual Care Collection from Simply Pleasure, including

Presentation of the Sweet Sensation Sensual Bath Oil was in keeping with the rest of the range and the brand itself, with Fifty Shades of Grey packaging, along with the product information clearly marked.

You get 100ml in the bottle, which dispenses by depressing one side of the lid and revealing the opening through which you pour the oil under hot running water.

The ingredients are: helianthus annuus seed oil, laureth 3, isopropyl palmitate, parfum, simmondsia chinesis seed oil, henoxyethanol, tocopherol, butyl phenyl methylpropional, limonene, alpha iso methyl ionone, linalool, cocumarin, evernia prunastri, citral.

Unlike the Nice n Naughty Bath Oil, the Fifty Shades of Grey Sensual Bath Oil doesn’t just trickle out. Squeeze the bottle gently to dispense a few drops. I quite like that it doesn’t all just run out freely under the tap, it feels more luxurious that way.

Once the Sensual Bath Oil hits the running water, ‘that’ scent hits the room. The smell of Christian Grey. No, it doesn’t smell of boy after a long day at work, nor does it smell of the socks at the bottom of a laundry basket. This is actually rather pleasant. It smells… masculine. That smell of aftershave on a mysterious, attractive (and hopefully, smartly suited) stranger.

Once you’re in the bath, the few drops of oil soften the water, making for a very relaxing experience, with a luxurious scent permeating the room and adding to the spa-like atmosphere.

Any fan of Fifty Shades of Grey will obviously love this bath oil but it’s a pleasing gift with a touch of romance for a partner or to spoil yourself with. Of course if you have items from the rest of the range you can always do a kinky Pokemon and try and catch ’em all. They do look very pretty on the bathroom shelf, but even more important, the Sensual Care collection items have practical uses and are of a high quality too.

In summary this is a fabulous smelling bath oil that softens the water. It is more expensive that others such as the Nice n Naughty own brand but the difference in quality is clearly apparent. It also looks far more decadent at the side of the bath or on your bathroom shelf.
