I own the original Rocks Off Rock Chick vibrator, which by now is buried in a box somewhere, the last time I used it being some years ago. It is a far cry from being one of my favourite sex toys. I found it too large, clunky, the wrong shape and actually a little sore to use.

Packaging

Hoping that the new version will be a lot different, I soaked up the vibe (heh) of the packaging first. The delivery had been discreet and professional as usual; no worries there.

The Rocks Off Rock Chick Mini box was covered with a sleeve that could only be for discretion purposes, minimal design and in fact just Rocks Off purple wording on a white background. The main packaging of the Rock Chick Mini sees the device placed behind a transparent plastic window in a glossy card box, full of colour and design and more importantly, information about the product.

Opening it up, I slipped out the inner plastic moulding which kept the toy safe during its travels. I have the purple version of the Rocks Off Rock Chick Mini but you can opt for it in pink if you wish.

I would approximate this as about half the size of the original Rock Chick (or maybe even less), but you can see the exact measurements in the details above.

First Impressions & Operation

One thing I did immediately notice is that the silicone is a lot softer and much more flexible than on the original Rock Chick.

The Rocks Off Rock Chick Mini works by using combination of the shape as well as the vibrations provided by the removable RO-80 bullet vibrator, to stimulate the G-spot inside the user’s vagina and the clitoris, simultaneously. Before the first use, just unscrew the end cap and tip out the protective paper disc, then reseal. The vibrations are operated by the push button on the end.

The slender of the two arms is placed inside your vagina, helped along by some water based lubricant if you choose. This vibrator is only compatible with water based lubes.

G-Spot and Clitoral Stimulation

Once positioned inside the flatted end of the arm should rest approximately where your G-spot is. This is different on every woman, dependent on vaginal depth and other physiological factors, so it’s a hard one for manufacturers to design.

At the same time, the external portion of the Rocks Off Rock Chick Mini comes up to rest over your clitoris. The bullet is inside this portion, facing down to be housed within the toy and the power button facing up at you.

And you’re ready to go. Well I was ready anyway, and I stood there (what, you don’t orgasm standing up) and was eagerly anticipating a revelation for the Rocks Off Rock Chick. Which unhappily, didn’t occur.

During Use

I really, really, really wanted to love this sex toy. Really. But I don’t. The best part about it is the brand new version of the Rocks Off RO-80 bullet vibrator you get inside it, which is removable and you can use separately. It’s honestly the only part of the toy I am going to use again.

The bullet vibe has 7 functions, as opposed to the original single speed RO-80 bullet vibrator.

Why It Didn’t Work For Me

There are a few reasons why the Rocks Off Rock Chick Mini just didn’t work for me:

• The internal arm is too slender (and no, I am not a bucket)
• The end of the internal arm was not on my G-spot it went beyond it
• The vibrations from the bullet vibrator did not travel adequately through the internal arm and against my G-spot, even if the end had been against my G-spot, which it wasn’t
• The bullet vibrator, pointing downwards in the product, just didn’t give me the powerful clitoral stimulation I needed to get anything decent

I ended up with something that felt a little like an internally worn C string with a vibrator between my labia. It didn’t bring me to orgasm. Yes, I did try it a few times and yes, I did even try it lying down. Still no good.

Bullet Vibrator

The new 7 function RO-80 bullet vibe is great however: easy to operate, push button base, waterproof (as is the whole product) and takes a decent N size battery. I can use that directly on my clit for some proper sheet clenching action.

In with the product you do get a little Rocks Off catalogue as well as a branded satin storage pouch which is rather funky. If you do fancy giving the Rocks Off Rock Chick Mini a go – and who knows, you’re a different shape to me and it may work – then give it a try.
