I’ve been lucky enough to be sent a We-Vibe Thrill Rechargeable Vibrator early, to try out then provide my full review here on the blog.

So, what exactly is the We-Vibe Thrill? How is it different to the rest of the well known and popular We-Vibe Range?

Unlike the first, second and third outings of the We-Vibe which were designed for couples to use during sex together, the Thrill is the first in the range with a similar shape but meant for women’s solo stimulation.

Many women had been using the We-Vibe on themselves, previously – however as it has a thinner area for insertion (due to the man’s penis meant to be inside at the same time) it wasn’t giving enough fulfilment alone. We-Vibe came up with the ingenious plan of making a toy that women will want to use and which will work for this purpose, with the same high standards and luxurious, powerful functions as the rest of the range.

Upon reading about the We-Vibe Thrill Rechargeable Vibrator, I did instantly think Rock Chick. A toy that you place inside yourself that curves round so that one end is stimulating your G-Spot and the other is stimulating your clitoris? Come on now. We’ve heard it all before, haven’t we, ladies?

I am perhaps slightly (very) cynical in my approach to sex toys at this stage, I think it’s fair to say. So many have extreme boasts but then fail to deliver. I can only imagine the crushing sense of disappointment that paying customers experience having shelled out hard earned money for a device that promises the next big orgasm thing – only to be left writhing on the bed in frustration as they clamp a badly shaped or ‘battery in death throes’ buzz level of sex toy against their intimate areas. Hardly erotic, really.

Anyway, you get my point. I have been entirely ready for this product to fail.

What happened? I have been left utterly stunned.

The We-Vibe Thrill Rechargeable Vibrator is breathtakingly fantastic in every way. Firstly the shape of the toy. Altogether it forms an oval, which is made up from the wider area you place inside yourself and the top part which has a useful handle and the area that sits against your clitoris & surrounds.

The area to be placed inside has a rounded end, which tapers to a wider middle bulge with three indent ridges on, to stimulate your G Spot and inner areas as you use the toy. This internal probe area then gets narrower again so that your flesh ends up enveloping the mini ‘shaft’ entirely comfortably and your labia close up around the narrowest part. This makes for a more flexible and easier movement of the top ‘clit stim’ area without too much disturbance of the inner, penetrative section.

The top area of the toy thoughtfully includes a handle so your fingers don’t slip while you try to manoeuvre. With a strong motor within this chunky-but-not-too-chunky section, you have a generous area with which to stimulate your clit and surrounding parts.

The multi functions of the We-Vibe Thrill Rechargeable Vibrator are controlled via a simple click button (soft fascia so it doesn’t protrude and hurt you) on the end of this top part, which will be facing up at you once you have the toy in the right position.

The button is easy to locate all by itself, but even in the unlikely event you do have difficulties, it has the two magnetic nodules either side (used for charging, more on this later) which you really can’t miss.

As the Thrill is made from an uber soft and flexible, shiny and body safe silicone, there has once again been thought put in. The clitoral stimulating area which incidentally covers the motor is made from an ABS plastic while the rest of the toy is silicone.

This means that during storage it doesn’t matter how much the two parts of the toy touch together (it is shaped like a letter C or in fact, the We-Vibe Thrill Rechargeable Vibrator is shaped more like an e what with the handle), there is no chance of any silicone touching itself and so melding together and causing a disintegration of the toy material. This could potentially have happened if the two parts were both silicone.

Being made from an incredibly high quality of silicone the Thrill is a pleasure to not only behold but also orgasmically flexible – it opens up and is flexible to whichever shape your body is, where your curves are, widening to a right angle if you so wish, with no problems whatsoever.

A problem I have found with toys that had the same boast in the past was that the material was too hard, too rigid and goddamn unforgiving. Some actually hurt when you have them inside. Not the case with Thrill – it will conform to the shape of your body and gives only pleasure.

So what functions does it provide, this amazing toy? Well there are 8 different modes to choose from:

1. Low: 3200 rpm
2. Medium: 3600 rpm
3. High: 4200 rpm
4. Ultra: 4800 rpm
5. Tease
6. Wave
7. Pulse
8. Cha-cha

… so you’ll never be short of a fun experience to try!

The functions are easily controlled via the button on the end, like I’ve stated, near the recharge area, facing up at you once in use. Easy to locate and press on and then cycle through modes.

If you hold down the power button for a couple of seconds, it switches the Thrill off. Upon start up, it will resume on the vibration pattern you were on when you powered off.

As the We-Vibe Thrill is made from silicone you will need to use water based lubricant, not silicone which would disintegrate the toy.

To charge up? Smooth and easy operation. There is a USB charging lead with a mini USB at the other end. This fits into a magnetic connector that ‘sticks’ to the magnetic nodes on the end of the We-Vibe Thrill Rechargeable Vibrator. No fiddling trying to insert leads etc into the toy itself, just connect and charge with this special magnetic connection! I love it, so easy and quite novel too.

I have a review product here and as such it didn’t come in the official packaging or with the usual packaging bumpf you get with a bought product. However the official spiel states that the Thrill arrives with a fabric bag for storage.

Do not store directly against other toys, in particular jelly and silicone as these could ruin the Thrill’s surface.

I personally do not have a We-Vibe ‘original’ to compare the Thrill to (if anyone wants to send one, I will be happy to review! /cheeky ), but I am reliably informed that their power and manufacturing standards are very high indeed. This continues with the We-Vibe Thrill Rechargeable Vibrator.

A beautiful, thoughtfully crafted toy with many functions, waterproof for a plethora of pleasure options (hurrah for bathroom orgasms) and a novel charging system – what more could any woman want.

I think this toy is set to become the next big thing in the world of sex toys for women and really can’t fault it at all. When I have used it (both in the bedroom and in the shower) I have found that it fits amazingly, snug and comfortable giving a fulfilling sensation and both wide enough to please and short enough to actually stimulate your G Spot.
