Titus Silicone Series Flexible Ball Stretcher Review (1.2″)

By Pleasure Panel reviewer BarginHunta

I had been considering a ball stretcher for a while now, there’s just something about that low-hung look that appeals. I’d never been sure which sort to try though, metal, silicone, open, closed, tool-free or Allen key locking… When Clonezone provided the Pleasure Panel the Titus Silicone Series Flexible Ball Stretcher for review I decided to give it a try and see how I got on!

Packaging

The Titus Silicone Series Flexible Ball Stretcher comes packaged similarly to other items in the range, in a clear clamshell plastic case displaying the item, and a retail card to dress things up a bit. This no nonsense packaging is great as you can see what you are getting, see some information about it, and won’t be passing half of it to landfill or filling your recycling bin!

Clamshell case removed for photographic reasons!

Sometimes these retails cards have a lot of blurb on them, or detail other products in the range.

In this case the front of the card simply states what it is, and the size (1.2” / 3cm), and the rear of the card primarily lets you know that it is 100% Silicone and Phthalate free.

Initial Thoughts

Unboxing the Titus Silicone Series Flexible Ball Stretcher is a simple affair of unclipping the clamshell case, no annoying heat-seal here!

Once opened the ball stretcher can simply be taken out and you are ready to go.

The ball stretcher is a lovely soft silicone with no visible seams to speak of. It has the Titus logo and name around it, but other than that is totally smooth. I did find that the surface finish of it tended to be a bit of a dust magnet, but as this is only for external use I don’t consider that to be an issue. If this was an internal toy and had the same surface, and therefore the same issue I might have reservations on using it.

How It Feels

As a product the Titus Silicone Series Flexible Ball Stretcher feels great, soft, seamless and comfortable.
It is advertised as a 1.2” / 3cm stretcher, and being new to these items I suddenly realised I had no idea what this measurement actually related to; is this the diameter, the depth / length of the stretch? Time for some measuring tape action!

Well there you go… turns out it doesn’t really matter, it’s approximately 3cm in both directions!

But what does this mean? After all, numbers are all well and good, but you could (in theory) get those from the packaging and, unless you have a habit of measuring the length & breadth of your veg it doesn’t really help does it?

So here’s an alternative, perhaps more visual guide to the size:

Just in case you are wondering, yes, those are cherry tomatoes, if you even thought that they were full-on salad tomatoes I can advise you NOW that this product is not for you and you should move along!

It was at this point my gaze nervously travelled down to my groin…
You see, ironically if I already had the dangliest of dangly bits then I probably wouldn’t be bothering to buy this product, but I don’t, which left me with a bit of a conundrum as to quite how I was going to convince the chaps through this, admittedly quite deep, silicone ring.
Oh, but its silicone, it stretches! Well, yes, it does, a bit, but it’s quite thick silicone and actually takes quite a bit of effort to stretch it.

This is my kind photography assistant stretching it as far as she comfortably could:

So the Titus Silicone Series Flexible Ball Stretcher can be stretched out to around 6cm, but doing so also narrows the gap in the other direction, and I found that in order to stretch it this far you need to have your fingers inside the ring, which then reduces the gap, the opposite of what you’re aiming for!

After some (careful) internet searching it seemed the best approach was a warm washcloth followed by a water based lube to help things into place. Personally I actually found the warm cloth helped, but then I fitted the ring without the lube. It was tricky, and I found it involved a not inconsiderable amount of poking and prodding, but I think it would become easier with practice. For comfort I would recommend some lube or body lotion applied after the ring is in place; it just makes it more comfortable whilst wearing it.

Once in place I actually found that I was able to wear the Titus Silicone Series Flexible Ball Stretcher for several hours comfortably, as being silicone it does have some give for when you move around. Another advantage of the silicone is that it very quickly adjusts to your body temperature, so you quickly become unaware of it.

Summary

Titus Silicone Series Flexible Ball Stretcher Review

I’ve now worn the Titus Silicone Series Flexible Ball Stretcher several times, and putting it on is getting easier, but is still somewhat of a tricky effort to achieve. I’ve tried both with and without lube, and although using the lube does make it easier to ‘pop’ them through, it also makes it more difficult to actually stretch the ring in the first place, so I tend to go without, and then just add a little afterwards for comfort.

As far as the stretching goes, I am still in two minds about whether it is actually stretching, or just constricting me. With a metal ring it can be looser, I imagine it is the weight of the ring that encourages the stretching, whereas with this it is just trying to hold your testicles away from your body. What this meant for me was that they kept trying to take it in turns to try and squeeze their way back into the ring, where of course they didn’t fit, hence having to use a very minimal amount of lube.

Overall this is a very well made stretcher that is reasonably comfortable to wear, but I am withholding judgement on how much of a stretch I’m likely to get from this. It has been a useful introduction, and now I really want to try the openable rings (like the metal ones) just to compare how they are. For me the obvious downside was just how difficult it is to put on (and to a lesser extent remove) each time.
