Swan Vibes Wand Vibrator Review

My review of the Swan Vibes Wand Vibrator (formerly known as the PalmPower Recharge Vibrator)

I’m so happy that I get to give you my feedback on this fantastic sex toy. The Swan Vibes Wand Vibrator (formerly known as the Palm Power Recharge) is a rechargeable vibrator. The people behind this sex toy also make PalmPower toys, the PowerBullet, Leaf and Leaf+ and of course, the Original PalmPower wand vibrator (which, after trying this new Swan Wand Vibrator, is now in retirement in my collection).

Get ready for me to tell you why I think the Swan Vibes Wand Vibrator is worth every penny of its price tag, and why you definitely need to get one.

Swan Vibes Wand Vibrator Review

I don’t even care that the Swan Vibes Wand Vibrator got a little bit smashed up during transit to me. I wouldn’t keep the vibrator in this outer box to store it anyway; it’s one of those thick moulded and bent plastic affairs that always seem to snag my skin and give me cuts. I simply opened the end of the box, tipped out the contents and chucked the plastic outer away. I would have really loved the inclusion of a fabric bag to keep my new sex toy in, but so far it’s not been in storage as much as simply awaiting its next use. Wash, dry, enjoy, repeat.

Swan Vibes Wand Vibrator Review

The Swan Vibes Wand Vibrator is a monster of a sex toy. It’s versatile and powerful. It’s all the things you may have thought a luxury G spot vibrator had given you previously, but then didn’t. This satisfies your vaginal penetrative needs and your G-spot stimulation needs. Not with the same shaft, with a double ended offer. You want a classic, smooth tapered vibrator? Not a problem – use the slimmer end. You want ‘OMG it’s snugly against and stimulating my G-spot the right way’ total fulfillment? Use the beast of a girthy end.

How Big Is The Swan Vibes Wand Vibrator?

  • Overall/straight length: 9.25 inches
  • Length taking the curve into account: 10.25 inches
  • Maximum circumference of the MONSTER end: 6.75 inches
  • Maximum circumference of the slimmer end: 5 inches
  • Maximum insertable length from either end (while still able to press the buttons): 4.5 inches

I don’t even know if the wider end is meant to be used internally (no sign that it should or shouldn’t on the instruction leaflet enclosed) but anyway – I did. And it was amazing. Give it a try, if you can.

You’d think the shape alone and the choice of either end and style would be enough, but then we get to the vibrating factor.

Charging Up

Swan Vibes Wand Vibrator Review

This is a rechargeable vibrator, so you need to use the jackpin ended wire to charge it up. It’s chargeable via USB port, meaning this is a modern sex toy and so convenient to charge wherever you are. The Swan Vibes Wand Vibrator is one of the most powerful non-mains powered sex toys I own.

Operation & Settings

Swan Vibes Wand Vibrator Review

To switch on the Swan Vibes Wand Vibrator once it’s charged up (I left it overnight and it was fully charged then) you need to first unlock it. Or at least, I did, anyway. I was worried at first that I’d got a faulty one, it wouldn’t be the first time a company had lucked out by sending me the runt of a batch. I tried the only other thing I knew than pressing the buttons randomly – I pushed them at the same time for about 5 seconds and there was a sudden jolt into life. Achievement unlocked.

Now when I held down one of the buttons in the centre, the vibrator would surge into life and get more intense in vibration until top level was achieved, on the end closest to that button. Same with the other side. I could have both ends vibrating at once, each with the intensity I chose. To turn off, I needed to press both buttons together (not hold, just press) and this is the case if you have one or both ends vibrating. Got that? On = press whichever button you wish. Off = press both the buttons at once.

It gets even more interesting.

Not only can you press and hold either/both button(s) to raise the vibration intensity, once you’re on and vibrating away you can quick-press the button of your choice to discover vibrating patterns. There are 8 functions (of which 7 are the variables), which I describe as:

  1. On, then keep holding to up the intensity as you desire
  2. Low constant vibration
  3. Medium constant vibration
  4. High constant vibration
  5. Dot-dot-long dash pulse vibration at a medium intensity
  6. Ascending vibration
  7. Slow, oscillating vibration
  8. Pulsating vibration, 5 high, 5 low

Swan Vibes Wand Vibrator Review

Swan Vibes Wand Vibrator Review

I’ve used and loved the Swan Vibes Wand Vibrator often. Almost every day since receiving it and it would have been more but you know, life, family, work and other sex toys. Meh. I don’t choose the option of both ends vibrating at once, because I can only enjoy one end in my vagina at a time and it’s not a bendy toy so the other end doesn’t stimulate my clit. My preference is the monstrously girthy and cleverly shaped wide end for G-spot and internal stimulation, even though it’s quite large I need a lot of lube to insert it, and the slimmer end for clitoral, external stimulation. Not at the same time, but we’ve covered that.

Things I’ve found out while using the Swan Vibes Wand Vibrator:

  • If you plan on using both ends during your love-fest then have some wipes, tissue or your ‘sex towel’ (I’m not the only one, right?) ready. Whether it’s bottled lubricant or nature’s own lube, the silicone gets extremely slippery and switching your grip of the sex toy to the slippy end makes it hard to keep hold of.
  • I prefer the slender end’s vibration for clitoral stimulation. The wider end gives a thuddy vibration whereas the slender end is still quite thuddy but the frequency seems to be at a slightly higher level, which gets me off clitorally.
  • If you’re already in love with, or worried about the noise from the Doxy Massager or Hitachi Wand, then the Swan Vibes Wand Vibrator makes a great alternative. It’s extremely powerful for a cordless, rechargeable vibrator but also incredibly quiet. It’s not silent by any means, but I can use it without waking up the neighbours.
  • I love using the Swan Vibes Wand Vibrator so much and teasing myself over such a period of time in a session (despite being able to orgasm with it quickly if I wish) that I really need to charge it up more often. It’s disappointing finding that it’s lacking in power all of a sudden because I forgot to plug it in the night before or whenever.
  • The fact that the Swan Vibes Wand Vibrator is waterproof is the cherry on the cake. It’s easy to clean thoroughly between uses and the vibrations don’t diminish when you use it in the bath. It’s quiet and powerful and therefore makes a great personal shower buddy too.

It’s uber powerful, versatile, great for internal and external stimulation, quiet, USB rechargeable, waterproof and made with body safe silicone. It doesn’t come with a storage bag but I guess they had to leave some room for improvement. I pretty much just store this thing in my hand. It’s had a definite negative effect on my work output these past few weeks.

I don’t know if you can tell but I love this vibrator.

The Swan Vibes Wand Vibrator gets 10/10 from me and I’m about to jump back on the Palm Power pleasure boat.

  1. Quick question…what are the diameter/circumference measurements of the bigger end? Have to say, this thing really intrigues me!!!

  2. Still no sight of this toy reviewed by you in August 2014. Any idea when this toy is planned to be released for sale to the public?

    • Hi there – I’m not employed by the company who makes it so I’m as much in the know as you are 😉
However I will email them to ask about this for you. Thanks for your comment and for the poke! It really should be on sale by now, it’s amazing!
      -Cara

  3. Thanks for the response. I also sent them (BMS Enterprises) an email today and will post if I get any reply. I would assume that you would have more clout given they gave you a sample for reviewing purposes.

BTW…Excellent work, Love all your pics and definitely deserving of your awards won.

    • They replied to me yesterday and let me know that the Swan Wand (previously known as the PalmPower Recharge – I have amended my title of this review) is scheduled to be available in early spring. It will be available worldwide including the UK and US – in the UK it will be sold through Simply Pleasure first.

The reason for the name change is because they found a way to make the original PalmPower wand cordless and rechargeable, so they called THAT one the Palm Power Recharge instead lol. Confusing! But I am sure it will all work out in the end.

      Hope this helps!
      – Cara

  4. How does it compare to the Tango, Doxy or the Smartwand Large? I have the Tango and love it, but need something stronger for when I’m on painkillers that make it hard to come. I’m not keen on the cord of the Doxy, nor the head’s being tricky to wash (and a mysterious matetial). The Smartwand is huuuge and has those metallic plastic bits which may be a bacteria haven, though I’m considering it. The Swan looks rather appealing. I tried the Palm Power and can’t get on with it, it’s painful. Any suggestions?

    • I think it’s more rumbly and powerful than the Tango, and you can use it internally as well. It’s definitely an off-shoot of the wand vibe family, like the Doxy and LELO wand, but as I say you can use the Swan Wand internally (vaginally) not just for clit or other external stimulation. The Swan Wand is also quite quiet, and cordless, as well as waterproof.
No mystery about the Doxy head; it’s PVC which is body safe and easy to wipe clean. I’ve never had a problem with it. Since getting a Doxy I don’t use my LELO Smart Wand any more – the Doxy blows it out of the water.
I can’t decide between the Swan Wand and Doxy because the Doxy is the King/Queen of power – but the Swan Wand is cordless, more portable and quieter.
      🙂
