Firstly I love flavoured lube and have tried all kinds before, but mostly have stuck with Durex lubricants in the past as really I hadn’t got much of an idea what ones are good and what aren’t.
Well from the moment I opened up the post, all I could smell was the raspberry, Oh my god it has such a nice smell! Seriously I’m pretty sure my mouth was watering – and still is when I think about it.
Naturally I looked at the ingredients and will note that it’s gluten free and vegan (!) which is another bonus for me. I haven’t actually been much of a lube taster (if there is such a thing) but knowing that it didn’t have anything harmful or chemicals in it really did help. Also, the smell! Did I mention that already?
The taste of the Sliquid Swirl Blue Raspberry Lubricant is subtle, more sweet than raspberry which is not a bad thing, I would quite happily buy candy that tastes the same. The texture as it comes out of the sachets is like thick water, rather than overly gloopy. However, it does get sticky quite quickly and I found it made what was supposed to be wet actually quite dry and tacky.
When trying to use the lube to aid penetration it made things a bit too uncomfortable and I actually ended up switching lube. I guess it is made more for oral sex and with the range of flavours, you wouldn’t get bored!
I’m still on the fence as the sticky, dry moments came at the worst possible moments and I ended up using way more to try and remedy the situation, which I have never had to do before.
So in summary: the Sliquid Swirl Blue Raspberry Lubricant tastes yummy, smells yummy (did I mention the smell?)! however it turns very dry and, yes you guessed it, very ‘sticky’, very quickly. Unfortunately this kind of outweighs the good 🙁
