Review of the Rocks Off Rapture Vibrator: I am a huge fan of Rocks Off sex toys and the RO-120 was my ‘go-to’ bullet for many years, I kept it tucked in my pillow case for easy access, until a battery leak brought an end to those private parties 🙁
Despite my love for the Rocks Off bullet, I never got round to replacing it, so when the opportunity arose to volunteer to review one of a selection of Rocks Off products, free of charge, as part of Cara’s sex toy tester program, I eagerly put my name forward.

My delivery arrived super quickly and my postman took me by surprise with the parcel, he may or may not have caught a glimpse of me make-up free with a birds nest of a hair do… swiftly moving on… the Rocks Off Rapture Vibrator arrived in an inconspicuous brown jiffy bag. Inside, the Rapture box was wrapped in a protective ‘Remove before display’ sleeve to protect the product during transit. Once the sleeve was removed, the bullet was secured in a plastic casing, clearly visible through the open front card box, the company logo and product name are discreetly positioned within a gold band at the bottom.
The reverse of the box provides details of the Rocks Off Rapture Vibrator and what it brings to the user; 10 powerful functions, manufactured from body safe Silicon (now I’m no scientist, so please don’t quote me, but I think this may be a typo on the packaging and that it may be possible that it should say Silicone) It is USB rechargeable and comes with a charging cable but not a mains adapter, once fully charged the Rocks Off Rapture Vibrator provides up to 4 hours of power. This product is 100% waterproof for those of you who like to extend your bedroom activities to the bathroom, not forgetting that it is also handy for cleaning purposes.
The product bio promises that the “Smooth luxurious contours will seduce, stroke and caress whilst strong vibrations bring you ultimate and complete satisfaction with each gliding pulsation” with that, I ripped into the packaging… literally! The card box is sealed by a card tab into a slot, which you would think would be easy to get into, nope, I struggled for around 5 minutes, trying not to tear a nail or the box, at least I knew the product hadn’t been tampered with as there was no hygiene tape securing it.
I eventually got into the box and slid out the inner plastic moulded section which was holding the Rocks Off Rapture Vibrator and it’s charging cable. The plastic came apart into two sections and the bullet popped out with ease.
My initial reaction to seeing and holding the Rocks Off Rapture Vibrator was that it was bigger than I was expecting and heavier too. The dark violet Silicon/Silicone feels smooth and as promised, like velvet. There are no visible seams and the only marking on the Rapture is a raised Rocks Off logo.
The bullet is 7.25 inches in length, of which up to 6 inches are insertable. The diameter ranges from 1.75 to 2 inches. This product is narrower around the base and graduates to a bulbous tip, the Rapture does not have a flared base and is therefore not suitable for anal penetration.
The base of the bullet has a pretty gold metal ring which surrounds a tiny pin prick in the Silicon/Silicone, I later discovered this was the charging point, I say later because it was at this point that I reached a stand still. I had no idea how to turn the bullet on, I had initially thought it would be similar to my previous Rocks Off products and turn on by pushing the base, after several attempts to push the centre of the gold ring and having no luck I decided to read the instruction booklet.
I didn’t recall seeing a booklet when I opened the box, the outer packaging mentioned 10 settings and waterproof etc but not how to actually operate the Rocks Off Rapture Vibrator. I searched the area where I opened the box… nothing… I checked the edges of the outer packaging, I found lots of information in other languages but no instructions. Then it just caught my eye, above the Rocks Off legal bumf on the reverse of the packaging, in a tiny font “care instructions are on reverse of insert card” Insert card? I didn’t notice a card either, scrutinising the box once more I found that the inner back wall of the box is not the reverse of the outer box and is in fact, a separate piece of card cleverly disguised as background print.
On the reverse of this card, sure enough is all of the information I need; details on how to charge, the pin prick hole in the base is where the charger cable goes. How to turn on and operate the settings, the logo is actually the on/off button. Cleaning and care information and how to dispose of the bullet are also included.
I quickly insert the end of the charger cable into the pin hole and connect it to my laptop to charge, a red light appeared behind the logo and this will turn green once the Rapture is fully charged, which according to the instruction card is in around 2 hours.
Once fully charged I thought it best that I got to grips with how the Rocks Off Rapture Vibrator operates before discarding my panties. The raised logo is the only button on the bullet, press once to turn on, press again to switch through the settings and press and hold to turn off… simples… I like simples. The Rapture does not remember which setting it was on when it was turned off and always starts at the beginning of the setting cycle. It is a powerful bullet and as such is a little on the noisy side but is not as indiscreet decibel wise as say, a wand.
The settings on the Rapture are unlike any of the other bullets or vibrators in my admittedly small but ever growing collection. It starts with a very strong but slightly buzzy vibration, where other bullets and vibrators usually start mild and build up to stronger vibrations, the Rapture starts strong and steady then the next two settings become more rumbly rather than faster, the first two uses had my toes curling and fillings rattling by this point so I had to start my third testing session on the pattern settings to be able to offer a fair review 😉
The patterns are also different to others that I have experienced and range from long vibrations followed by a pause, to random length vibrations and pauses, to varying degrees of vibrations, one setting reminded me of the music beat trembling through my bones at rave nights in my youth!
The length of the Rocks Off Rapture Vibrator allowed me to have a firm grasp of the bullet and operate the logo button with ease, the large bulbous tip once covered with a slick coating of water-based lube, slid over my skin with no drag and because of its size covered a large surface area, stimulating my clitoris and surrounding areas with its strong vibrations. The range of patterns allowed my orgasms, and there were many, to build up slowly, have me teetering on the edge over and over or, just hit me like a brick.
I am not usually a fan of internal vibrations and tend to prefer a more ‘lifelike’ dildo to a vibrator but, having been impressed by the Rocks Off Rapture’s performance in providing clitoral orgasms and intrigued by its shape, I put it to the test to see if it could provide me with a vibrating vaginal orgasm as well.
One evening while hubby sat at the other end of the sofa playing his beloved Playstation, I sat, legs akimbo at the other end and slowly eased the butt-plug-esque tip of the Rapture inside me, as you do!
Whilst there was no satisfying ‘pop’ that is usually provided by the head of a realistic dildo, the elongated bulb of the Rocks Off Rapture Vibrator makes for a much more fulfilling entrance compared to a slimline oversize bullet, such as the Motorhead Overkill Vibrator. Nestled snugly inside, I pushed the button and the bullet sprang to life, the first setting whilst strong, rattled my pubic bone in a mildly uncomfortable way so I quickly skipped to the more rumbling second setting, this was slightly better but it was the third, deep rumbling setting which had my nerve endings tingling and my skin beginning to flush.
The design of this bullet allows for thrusting movements, the widest part of the bulb is approximately two inches from the tip so thrusting it stretches the vaginal opening with the slightest of movements. This stretching and filling motion is wonderful on its own but when you add the more intermittent ‘rave’ like patterns to the mix, the sensations it provides are exquisite. Although I did not reach an orgasm by penetration alone, the Rapture paired with a little additional clitoral stimulation was more than enough to have me writhing and panting on the sofa, distracting my hubby enough to give away a goal on his game – whoopsies 🙂
I loved the variety of the 10 Rocks Off Rapture Vibrator’s settings, ordinarily I would stick to steady settings and ignore any patterns all together, not so with the Rapture. This is now a firm favourite in my toy box, taking the top spot from my wand and it’s rechargeable too, no hunting round for batteries or spare sockets. Its just a shame its a bit too big to slip in my pillow case 😉
I highly recommend the Rocks Off Rapture Vibrator and would rate it a high 9/10 losing a mark as it did not come with a storage pouch and the instructions were rather tricky to find.
