Pjur MyGlide Stimulating And Warming Water Based Lube Review

You can tell that a lot of thought went into the design and manufacture of the Pjur MyGlide Stimulating And Warming Water Based Lube. The formulation has been carefully crafted to produce a warming and stimulating sensation during use. I received the Pjur MyGlide Lube free of charge directly from Pjur as a gift – but chose to also write a honest and unbiased review for this product.

Pjur MyGlide Stimulating And Warming Water Based Lube Review

Pjur MyGlide Stimulating & Warming Lubricant is a water based lube, meaning you can use it for any type of sexual pleasure, however it does contain glycerine so be careful if you’re particularly sensitive to that ingredient. Some women find that they suffer from vaginal irritation if they use lubricants with glycerine in. I don’t get this myself, so I’ve no problem using this or other lubes with it in.

The packaging is cute and funky, happy and bright with the quite feminine pink and yellow label.

Although this is water based lubricant I did find that during use it felt more like a hybrid lubricant despite being quite runny. It’s not as thick as some of the standard water based lubes out there. On the plus side it does last for absolutely ages and you don’t need a lot of it. It lubricates the skin very well for sex and masturbation, with or without sex toys.

One disadvantage that I experienced using this lube, is that (perhaps due to the glycerine ingredient, maybe not) there was a slightly oily residue left on the skin after use which simply didn’t evaporate. I had to wash it off completely using soap and warm water after playing.

I’m always rather cynical of products which have special effect claims – to be honest, I’m just cynical all round – but this lube really does give you the effects stated on the label. The stimulation is a quite light tingle (if you’ve used the Durex Tingle lube, don’t worry, it’s not as strong as that) and the warming is gentle and pleasant too. The effects are definitely a compliment to the physical pleasure you’re experiencing at the time, rather than a solo venture into corporeal excitement.

Just a few seconds after applying this lube to my intimate area I noticed the tingling and warming effects, which surprised me as I was worried that a) I’d have to wait a while and b) I’d have to use a lot. Just a few drops did the trick.

To let you know how much I enjoyed the Pjur MyGlide Stimulating And Warming Water Based Lube, it’s a lube I’d consider buying myself which is saying something as I have approximately 48 bottles of lube in my bedside drawer right now.

I will mention once again though that there is glycerine in this lubricant – you call tell this from a light taste, there’s a sweet edge – so if you’re sensitive to this then avoid. I should probably add, after that sentence, that it’s not an edible lube either. Don’t drink the stuff.

Another point to consider is that like most of the Pjur range of lubes this bottle has a twist off lid and you then need to tip up the bottle to dispense. I would love to see these first edition bottles being phased out in favour of the pump dispenser type which you can use one handed. (I notice that ID Lubes have introduced this recently, which I’ve been asking for for years! Seriously why make lubes which you can’t dispense one-handed…)

The Pjur lubricant will need to remain on a flat level surface and can’t simply be tossed to the side otherwise the lube will leak out onto the sheets or floor.

Despite the minor niggles this is a great value special effects lubricant that is versatile enough to be used for whatever sex-pedition you’re planning. It’s compatible with all sex toys materials and condoms. The ingredients are clearly marked and the instructions on the label are in a variety of languages.

You get a lot of lube for your money and I’d rate the Pjur MyGlide Stimulating And Warming Water Based Lube 7/10. A few points off as I would rather avoid the residue on my skin after use and I’d prefer a pump dispenser – but it DOES work and for some people this will be the perfect sex lube.
