The Nu Sensuelle 10 Function Remote Control Cock Ring is a surprisingly natty piece of kit. Supplied with batteries already fitted, and even some spare for when you inevitably run them down, the cock ring features 10 functions and a smooth velvet feel along with the added benefits of it being waterproof, black coloured and phthalates free (beware the remote is NOT waterproof). The packaging even comes with some directions for use and drawings for those not sure of how to wear a cock ring. The manufacturer does not recommend use for longer than 30 minutes and also advises not to remove the plastic battery insert found inside the bullet (I would assume this is to prevent the batteries rattling inside).
The remote control features a small chain for presumably attaching to your keys or perhaps your belt and two buttons, one which you would think was a power button but is in fact the “off” switch and another sporting the text “H10” for turning on the remote and controlling the 10 different functions. In order to change the battery, you will need to remove the small screw on the back, however the unit is surprisingly tiny and will easily fit in a pocket!
Moving onto the actual Nu Sensuelle 10 Function Remote Control Cock Ring, it is constructed from a silicone ring and sleeve over a vibrating bullet, made from the same velvet smooth material. The silicone sleeve over the bullet features numerous nubs/bumps including a single large bump, all to aid with clitoral stimulation. The ring which slides onto the penis is stretchy and has three holes cut into it, perhaps just for decoration as I cannot see how this would aid with gripping around the penis.
The bullet slides easily in and out of the sleeve, and has what I think is a small receiver antenna on the end of it. Replacing the batteries is a simple twist of the bullet, which takes 3 x LR44.
Now onto the nitty gritty. Sliding the Nu Sensuelle 10 Function Remote Control Cock Ring onto the penis is pretty easy and straightforward, although watch for hairs catching on the silicone sleeve (ow!). Perhaps a “trim downstairs” is in order to prevent premature pain and subsequent loss of arousal! To ensure a snug fit however, you do need to be on the “larger” side as there is not a lot of resistance from the silicone.
The ten vibrating functions start simply with three levels of continuous buzzing, followed by various patterns of oscillation and pulsing. Although fairly strong when in your hand, these vibrations diminish rapidly with the introduction of bodies moving together. When using with my partner and on top, I found that I was constantly craving more oomph and stronger vibrations. Perhaps I am just greedy!
My partner found the vibrations pleasant enough however compared to previous vibrating cock rings, this one just did not have enough power. The concept of the remote control and being able to change the vibrations is a nice idea, however I would prefer a stronger bullet and perhaps only a few different options. Needless to say, although a bit of fun, the Nu Sensuelle 10 Function Remote Control Cock Ring did not get either of us sufficiently excited to induce an orgasm and was removed before carrying on “naked” as it was starting to become a hindrance.
Now onto the disappointing part of this toy. Going to use it for a second time, it has died. As far as I can work out, it is the bullet which has stopped working, and even swapping out the batteries for the spare ones in the packaging has not helped to revive it. The remote control seems to be working, in so far as the little red light is illuminating when pressed, however the bullet is not responding.
All in all, a nice idea, good execution with regards to the materials used however the fact that it does not work after its initial outing is not a good sign. If I wanted a one-shot vibrating cock ring, I would have bought a disposable type. So in the end, not all that impressed. Go for one of the newer rechargeable Nu Sensuelle cock rings instead!
