Nexus Ridge Rider Vibrating Prostate Massager Review
By Sum Sub
Nexus, I have long coveted one of your toys, and although the Nexus Ridge Rider Vibrating Prostate Massager wouldn’t have been my first choice, I was really pleased to get the opportunity to test it for the Cara Sutra sex blog. I’m not a newbie to prostate play, having had some awesome times with steel dildos, inflatable plugs and the LELO Hugo.

When I received the package, I was severely confused by the mention of G-spot all over the packaging, plus a sticker claiming that it’s a unisex toy; that aside I am reliably informed that this toy is for prostate play only.
The purple version of the Nexus Ridge Rider Vibrating Prostate Massager that Cara sent to me is a little effeminate in colouring, but that kind of thing doesn’t really bother me. Once it’s inside you don’t really see it anyway. The Nexus Ridge Rider is made from a nice softish silicone, and one which doesn’t seem to gather the dust as quickly as other silicones.
The Nexus Ridge Rider Vibrating Prostate Massager’s vibrations come from a small black rod which is fully removable from the toy for ease of cleaning and hygiene. This black rod houses the power unit too – a single AAA battery which is supplied with toy (yay for included batteries!)
I was a little disappointed when I realised that it was just a single battery – my experience with similarly powered sex toys hasn’t been great. However, I’m pleased to report that whatever Nexus have done in that little black rod produces a surprising amount of power.
And so to use. The ridges make it easy for lube to stay where you put it, and it’s not terribly girthy so insertion is pretty easy, although I wouldn’t recommend it as a first sex toy. The T-bar is wonderfully shaped, fit me well and reassured me that no unwanted travel will happen. The Nexus Ridge Rider Vibrating Prostate Massager controls are fairly easy too, with a single button there’s not much going wrong. Sadly that’s where the positivity ends; the motor is rather buzzy and noisy, and even though I was initially surprised at the power from AAA battery, it just doesn’t travel at all well inside you. No amount of rocking, minor thrusting or poking got me anything more than a little interested.
A minor reprieve is that as a long term wear plug to give a minor amount of stimulation in motion, the Nexus Ridge Rider Vibrating Prostate Massager is pretty good, but my general feeling is that for £55 you’re getting a whole lot of nothing.
