Nexus Femme Cadence G-Spot Rabbit Vibrator Review

Cadence. What a beautiful, melodic name for a sex toy. The Nexus Femme Cadence G-Spot Rabbit Vibrator is a new style of rabbit vibe by Nexus, who branched out into vaginal & dual stimulator sex toys with the Nexus Femme Bisous, has a number of new features.

Packaging

The Nexus Femme Cadence G-Spot Rabbit Vibrator comes in a beautiful box which is very similar to the Bisous but with a purple floral/scroll pattern rather than deep pink. Once removing the outer sleeve you find the hinge lid box. It opens like a jewellery box and the Cadence vibrator is sat inside a moulded insert. Unfortunately as with the Bisous the insert has great intentions, with a velvet feel coating, but this coating leaves black bits on the silicone sex toy which need wiping off before use. It’s a good idea to clean sex toys before first use anyway, in case of any chemical residue from manufacture, but it doesn’t make a perfect first impression.

Underneath this moulded insert you find the other accessories – instruction manual, matching colour (nice touch) USB charging lead and very generously proportioned storage pouch.

Size

By my measurements, the Nexus Femme Cadence G-Spot Rabbit Vibrator measures 9 inches in overall length and has a max circumference of the shaft of 4.1 inches.

Charging Up

Before I got started using Cadence I needed to charge it up. This is easy – just peel back the silicone flap at the bottom of the vibrator and plug the jackpin into the port. The other end of the lead connects to any USB port, making it easy to use with PC, laptop or USB to mains adaptor. Or USB to car cig lighter, if you have an urgent need. There’s a red LED lit up behind the control button as it’s charging.

The shape of the shaft intrigued me from the start. I hadn’t read up on the vibrator before Nexus kindly sent it to me, so wasn’t sure what to expect and how it differed from Bisous. It’s easy to assume that the next in a range is simply an upgraded version of the first, especially in this case as they’re both rabbit vibes – sorry, dual stimulators.

Operation

Nexus Femme Cadence G-Spot Rabbit Vibrator Review

There’s a big round easy to locate power button on the handle of the Nexus Femme Cadence G-Spot Rabbit Vibrator, and two other buttons which control the motion of the ‘tip bead’ and the pattern of vibration. Yes, there’s a bead in the tip. Or more precisely, on the underside of the curved tip. This is quite obviously intended to give stimulation to the G-spot and is a feature I haven’t seen on another sex toy. Oh there’s been a few with a ‘stimulating’ moving bead (LELO Ora, LELO Ora 2, Je Joue Sasi), but they have focused on clitoral stimulation, the bead not intended to stimulate internally.

Jabbing at the buttons before reading the instruction leaflet (cos I’m a rebel) I figured out which button was to increase the stroker settings  – ie. the Bead Speed (patent pending*) and which was to explore the patterns and speeds available. The clitoral stimulator vibrates and can be controlled independently of the shaft/bead. There’s photos of the instruction leaflet which gives you all the info including material and size specs, disposal etc.

*not really

During Use

I was hoping for another revelation along the same lines as I had with the LELO Ina Wave. After all, using the Ina Wave awoke G-spot passions the likes of which I hadn’t enjoyed for quite some time. Sadly it wasn’t too be, although I can appreciate the thoughts behind the various parts of the Nexus Femme Cadence G-Spot Rabbit Vibrator.

The bead motion isn’t pronounced enough – like the unrelenting prodding of the up and down Ina Wave shaft – to make my G-spot know it’s there. Sure I can feel *some*thing… I’m just not sure what. Strangely enough, considering my overall negative experiences with beads in the past, particularly the LELO Ora (which I nicknamed The Orable) I preferred the bead motion over my clit. There it felt like someone insistently using the tip of their tongue to give me oral sex, which was nicer and more able to be felt than when it was inside my vagina. Sadly the shape of Cadence doesn’t lend itself well to using the shaft tip against my clit, and I’m still not sure I could orgasm with it that way either. And what would I do with the clit stim? Depending how I hold it it’s either buzzing away near my navel or just outside my vaginal opening. Not ideal. No the way it’s meant to be used, admittedly.

The clitoral stimulator certainly vibrates powerfully, but I found it to be that zingy, top level angry wasp buzzing which doesn’t get me off. I can use it against my clit for as long as you like, I’m not going to reach orgasm with it. I feel at best mildly stimulated, at worst annoyed and frustrated.

The Nexus Femme Cadence G-Spot Rabbit Vibrator is not for me and I’m quite sad about that. It’s a great idea, having a bead motion stimulating the G-spot inside a rabbit vibrator so you also get your clit kicks too. I’d change it up so that the shaft has the option of moving up and down, like with the LELO Ina Wave (the nice thing about using not making sex toys is you don’t have to worry about potential copyright issues I guess) and put the bead inside a wider clitoral stimulator arm. Which would have a deeper, more rumbly vibrating motor inside it instead of a trapped wasp.

These are all changes I’d make so it would be more suited to me personally – it could be that you find that your G-spot has a need for Bead Speed (sorry) and the vibrating style of the clit stim motor is perfect for you. As with all sex toys, your mileage may vary.

I’m really pleased that the Nexus Femme Cadence G-Spot Rabbit Vibrator is completely waterproof, USB rechargeable and comes with its own storage pouch. It’s also made with smooth, body safe silicone (so compatible with silicone friendly lubes like water based or hybrid) and you get up to 10 hours play from a 2 hour charge. Cadence is undoubtedly beautifully presented, but didn’t do it for me.
