The Nexus Anal Starter Kit package arrived in an unassuming brown envelope from the wonderful Cara herself, not even hinting at the erotic nature of its contents. It arrived on Friday which gave me and my partner ample time to try out our newest pleasure items, since we would have the house to our selves until Sunday evening. I’m still quite the child at heart when it comes to new sex toys, I get giddy with anticipation of experiencing new sensations in unexplored areas of the mind, body and fantasy. It is a quite study and durable cardboard with a plastic window so as to be able to see the product before opening. Another added bonus was a small circle in the lower right corner which contains a sample of the brushed silicone used in the manufacture of the product. As I took the three anal plugs out I took a moment to feel the smooth luxuriousness of the brushed silicone, I must say it is silky smooth just as the sample on the package showed. I was also intrigued by the ergonomic shape of each them, which has been designed with pleasure of either gender in mind. The silicone is firm but has enough bend in it to make it uber comfortable upon use.
One of the great things about this kit is that it comes in a range of three graduated sizes, allowing newbies like us the opportunity to warm up to the small size before working our way up to the largest. The small one has a length of 2 3/4”, a girth of 2” and a width of 3/4”. The medium size plug has length of 3.4”, a girth of 2.6” and a width coming in at 1.1”. Lastly the largest plug’s length is 3.9”, it has a girth of 2.6” and width of 1 1/2 “.
In use we found the smallest size and medium size out of the Nexus Anal Starter Kit the most pleasurable for myself and my partner as we are truly beginners in the realm of anal/prostate play. We used a liberal amount of organic coconut oil as lubrication, which is ideal since silicone lubricants can break down silicone toys. You could also use any of your favourite water based lubes as well, just make sure you use plenty to make insertion more pleasant. I found the tapering neck and base fit nicely between the buttocks and could be worn quite easily over an extended time period.
My partner was a little sceptical of the shape of the plugs, but said he was pleasantly surprised after he actually tried one. He felt the shape and the semi rigidity of the plugs were ideal in putting pressure against his prostate and he experienced quite a lot of pleasure from the them during solo play as well as during our partner sex.
Neither he or I have yet advanced enough to really get full enjoyment from the largest size plug, but as I stated earlier that is one of the best parts about this set, the fact that you get an assortment of sizes to enjoy and work on advancing to.
The Nexus Anal Starter Kit is an excellent choice for any beginner wanting to dip their toe in and try some anal stimulation or just as well for the more advanced among us. It really works well with the anatomy of either gender and enhances the pleasure of the user during solo use or during partner sex sessions. I would have to give this set a 9/10 for a quality made product that works well.
