How It Feels
I love playing with the technological wonder that is the Lovense Gravity Bluetooth Thrusting Vibrator. There are loads of features to discover and enjoy.
To give a brief overview of operation: there are two buttons on the base of the Lovense Gravity, one for the vibrations and the other for thrusting, which can be enjoyed independently or together. I love that I can select the right vibration speed and thrusting speed separately, for a customised self-pleasure experience. The Lovense Gravity can also be controlled via the Lovense remote control app, full details of which will follow later in this review. There are two bases included with the toy too; one base cap cover and a screw-in suction cup base which is extremely handy especially when using the thrusting feature.
This is a solid feeling, well-made, luxurious sex toy covered in body-safe, silky smooth silicone with subtle ridges to the upper shaft and on the rounded tip. The silicone material pairs perfectly with a splash of water-based lube, making insertion a glorious glide and avoiding any drag from the material as you ease it into yourself. When you connect the Lovense Gravity to the remote-control app, go back to ‘Home’ on the app. There you will find the Remote, My Patterns, Control Link and Music areas. Explore all of these and you will find ways to control the sex toy via floating or traditional slide buttons, patterns to discover, connection with someone in another part of the world than you and ability to vibe along to your favourite tunes. The Lovense remote control app has enormous usage potential, especially if you’re in a long-distance relationship. There are so many parts to the app, make sure you explore it all to get the most from it.
As well as simple on/off and up/down intensity controls, and scrolling through the toy’s patterns, you can create vibration/thrusting programs which you can then replay through the sex toy on a loop. There weren’t any pre-set programs unfortunately, just 1 second examples. You can create up to 10 different patterns. Sometimes there is a delay in the app, when accessing saved programs, as it loads up your saved patterns and ensures its still connected to the sex toy. Also, when I created a vibration program, despite selecting it to ‘loop’, it stopped at the end of the short program instead of looping upon playback. Also, despite pressing save on my program, when I went back to the Gravity toy page of the app out of the programs then went back in, my program hadn’t been saved to the list at all.
Although the hands-free element of using the Lovense Gravity with the Lovense remote control app is great, I prefer to just use the buttons on the toy itself. Personally, I find the app a little unnecessary and I don’t want to use my smartphone during sex or masturbation – but if you’re more of a tech whizz than I am, you might love it.

General Info & Specs
Note that there are two base options included with the Lovense Gravity; a simple cap cover embossed with the Lovense logo, and a screw-in suction cup which is incredibly useful to enjoy the thrusting element of the vibrator. Although the body of the sex toy is water resistant to IPX6, the user manual warns not to submerge or rinse the bottom part of the sex toy (where you attach the cap cover or screw-in suction cup).

Packaging / Unboxing
The Lovense Gravity Bluetooth Thrusting Vibrator arrived in a plain outer box, besides my address label, for the post. No mention of sex toys or adult products. Inside the box, my new vibrator was packaged snugly with packaging material, so it didn’t rattle around and risk getting damaged through transit and delivery.
My new Lovense Gravity sex toy box was plastic shrink-wrapped for hygiene reassurance. Removing this was easy, and revealed the sleek and modern design of the Lovense sex toy box. The box has an image and various details about the sex toy inside on its front and rear.

There is a small but info-packed user manual included with the Lovense Gravity vibrator. Instructions are provided in several languages, which include English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Chinese, Japanese and Portuguese.
Storage Pouch
The included black satin-feel storage pouch is a thoughtful addition, and is large enough to hold the vibrator, both ends, the user manual and the charging lead.
How To Charge Up
Before use, I needed to charge up the Lovense Gravity Bluetooth Thrusting Vibrator using the included magnetic/USB charging lead. The dual magnetic areas on the end of the wire connect to the corresponding small metal areas on the back of the vibrator, near the base. While charging, a red LED glows steadily. When the toy is fully charged, this light goes off. The toy takes about 2 hours to fully charge from zero. A full charge can provide up to 4 hours of playtime, or 2 hours left in standby mode.
Charging Tips: You can plug the lead into any USB port. I like to use the USB port on the side of my laptop or the multi-USB to mains plug at the side of my bed. These are extremely useful, and I strongly recommend everyone has at least one. You can buy them cheaply from Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk.
I’d advise additionally labelling the charging lead in some way immediately upon unpackaging the product. This means you can easily identify this particular sex toy lead if it gets tossed into your bedside drawer or box of charging leads.
I use my trusty DYMO labeller which is available from Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk for all my sex toy charging leads – and it has plenty of other uses around the house, too.
Operation / Controls
You can control the Lovense Gravity Bluetooth Thrusting Vibrator either by the two buttons near the base of the sex toy, or by making a customised vibration program using the Lovense remote control app. The app connects to the vibrator via Bluetooth.
If you just use the buttons on the vibrator – which is my preference – then you need to press and hold the top (squiggle) button for 3 seconds when it will buzz briefly to let you know it’s ‘on’. Press this same button again to start the vibration modes; there are 3 speeds and various patterns and pulses to explore.
The bottom button (up and down arrows) controls the thrusting aspect of the sex toy and can be used without any vibration via the top button, or alongside the vibration of your choice using the top button. Again, there are three speeds to choose from with the thrusting aspect, as well as a variety of patterns.
I have written about the Lovense remote control app and connection/usage with the Lovense Gravity Bluetooth Thrusting Vibrator in the first part of this review, but here’s a brief overview for you.
To use the Lovense remote control app, you need to download it from wherever you get your apps. Download details are in the user manual. The app is available from the App Store and Google Play, as well as integrations for Windows or Mac. Connect the Gravity to the app by first opening the app to the ‘connect toy’ page, then put your Gravity vibrator in standby/haptic mode. This is when you press the top button for a few seconds until it buzzes briefly. The app should then be able to find your product via Bluetooth and connect it to the app.
You can control Gravity via the traditional toggle/slide buttons on the app, or you can create customised vibration programs that could then be replayed through the sex toy during use. I must admit that using the app wasn’t really for me; I found it too much of a faff. I can see how it would be fun if you’re in a long-distance relationship and using the Lovense Gravity to increase intimacy, or if you’re more of a tech whizz than me. Personally, I’m not a big fan of using my smartphone during masturbation or sex – despite the hands-free option being admittedly useful at times, particularly during frenzied thrusting sessions. Mostly though, I just use the buttons on the sex toy itself.
